  1. I don't think so. I don't think any gaming manufacturer will completely stop making consoles, even Microsoft is said to be working on a new model of Xbox better than the Series S & X right now. I don't see Sony stopping after the PS5. I could be wrong, but Cloud gaming isn't where it needs to be, so there will still be a need for stronger hardware & physical media, at least for awhile longer yet. 🙂
  2. If you're going to actually play it. I would go for a PS3 Slim model, the older fat models, while some are fully backwards compatible with all PS1, PS2 and PS3 games, they are prone to breaking down. If you're going to use the console regularly on a more frequent basis, I would go w/ the Slim revision model, If you're just collecting it and not going to use it much, then the fat model is nice as a display piece. 🙂
  3. Personally, I don't mind either. Me and my boyfriend game share on Xbox so he tends to buy a lot of games digitally for the Xbox, but personally I wouldn't mind having a physical collection of games, if given the choice between models, I would go physical.
  4. I don't believe there's a way to change the color of the lightbar on the PS5. It has presets for games to utilize to indicate things such as health status or player status eg: Player 1, Player 2, and so on. I don't believe there is a way to change the colors to what you want while using the controller on the PS5 itself.
  5. This could be an issue with your TV or perhaps the HDR settings on your console? Have you tried adjusting the settings on your TV? If it's only happening in certain games, make sure your visual settings for that game are set properly.
  6. I don't see the purpose of doing this, if the PS5 is backwards compatible with most PS4 games, why would you replace a PS5 with a PS4? I'm sure you have your reasoning for doing so, but I just can't find a logical reason to want an older console over a newer one if you have access to the newer, more powerful hardware. Hell, I'm on an Xbox One X and games are slowly becoming harder & harder to run on it. I would love to upgrade to a Series X if I could in the future.
  7. This is a very neat & informative video! It's hard to believe the Playstation brand has been around for so long! I'll always be an xbox girl but there's no denying the Playstation has some cool games on it.
  8. I'm not picky with controllers as long as they work. I wouldn't mind a purple one though if I owned a PS5, I would want the purple controller, maybe modified with my gamertag on it. 🙂 As far as I know, there is no "Design Lab" like option for Sony. I think the only way you get a customized design is through a company like ScufGaming.
  9. My son has one. My boyfriend helped us mod it a few years ago and load up games onto it as my son couldn't find any of the physical games he had for it. 🙂 It's a neat little handheld.
  10. Wow! it's been that long for this franchise? It doesn't seem that long! I remember playing one of the Sly Cooper games on my brother's PS2 back in the day! No way it's been 20 years! Wow! Now i feel old. 😛
  11. I hope you enjoy the purchase! My boyfriend bought me a Switch a couple years ago and me and my kids love it. We play games like Mario Kart together. It's a great console. I played it a lot while streaming when my xbox controller packed up on me and I was without an xbox controller for a few months. Grateful to have a Switch in times like those!
  12. I heard there was a lot of controversy around this game and it's voice actress being fired. I don't know all the deals but I heard people were cancelling their pre-orders in protest. The game from what I've seen looks interesting. I never played the previous titles though so I doubt i'll be picking up this one any time soon. Does the news around this game hinder your purchase? or are you still picking up the game? Personally, if it was a game I wanted to buy, I would buy it regardless. It's not the fans fault some actress wasn't paid enough or whatnot. Just my two cents.
  13. My laptop is pretty old. I've had to replace it's battery & charger a couple of times. I would say on battery I get roughly over an hour if i'm lucky. My laptop no longer runs Windows either. I believe it's currently running Linux Mint.
  14. If I were to buy a PS5. I would love something with Purple in it! Maybe like a Purple Fortnite branded PS5 would be cool to see! I'm a purple nut 😛 Absolutely love anything purple!
  15. This sounds like a cool idea to customize your console. I wish Xbox would bring something like this out for their Xbox Series lines of consoles. I would love to have my branding on my xbox + controller. I would imagine these custom covers for the Playstation cost quite a bit since they're being customized?
  16. This sounds like Microsoft's Rewards Program. Has anyone used it yet on Playstation? Is it worth signing up for? Have you saved any money using it? Or is it just not worth it?
  17. Yes, PS3 games are streamed because the architecture from the PS3 is vastly different than the PS5 and it would require Sony to build a PS3 emulator into the system in order for PS3 games to be ran natively on the PS5, so to get around this, and because they are lazy, they make it so you have to stream the PS3 games and that's only available for PS Plus Premium subscribers I believe.
  18. Have you ever sorted this out, OP? I Believe you can rebuild the system database & software by booting it into safe mode. It sounds like it could be faulty system software or an update didn't install properly. Here's how to get into the safe mode menu: How to start your console in Safe Mode Turn off your console by holding the power button for three seconds. ... Once the console is off, press and hold the power button again. ... Connect the controller with the USB cable and press the PS button on the controller. You can read more about it here - https://www.playstation.com/en-us/support/hardware/safe-mode-playstation/
  19. The Dual Sense Edge has been announced and the release date has been set for January 2023 according to their Playstation Direct page, https://direct.playstation.com/en-us/accessories/accessory/dualsense-edge-wireless-controller.1000033578 It's a whooping $200! That's crazy! I'll stick to my normal standard controller.
  20. I feel consoles nowadays need larger than 1TB as standard storage because the game installs are so big now. I need a bigger external drive for my xbox one X. I know my boyfriend upgraded the storage to his PS5 with 2TB and it cost him almost $400 to do so. That's nearly the price of the console! it's crazy the price of storage expansion now!
  21. I only currently own a Playstation 4 that is barely used, so I guess I would say that one is my favorite model. I remember my brother having the PS2 growing up, but I remember it being a bit more bulky than the PS4 and I like my consoles to be slim if possible, so I would say the PS4 is my favorite model/design.
  22. Not much of a Playstation girl, so never played this game. My boyfriend said he's bought every version of this game from the PS3 to this PS5 remake and he says he feels like the jump from the PS4 to PS5 versions weren't significant enough to warrant the $70 price tag. He does say the game itself is great and wants me to try it some day. I probably will if I ever get my hands on a PS5.
  23. Nice one! My boyfriend got one from Playstation.com back in June! He loves it but says he wishes there were more exclusives he was interested in. We tend to game together more on the xbox, which is funny because when we met back in 2009, he was a huge playstation guy. I guess I converted him ❤️ 😛
  24. Some of the PS2 games I remember playing & enjoying when I was younger are: Crazy Taxi Grand Theft Auto Vice City Burnout 3 Sly Cooper Jak & Daxter I'm more of an xbox girl, but I do remember enjoying a few PS2 titles back in the day. 🙂

    Share Play

I remember the only time I used Share Play was on PS4 and it was with a friend I had who I used to online game with on Xbox. He moved to PS4 and when he found out I had one it was Rainbow Six Siege if I remember rightly that we share played on because he wanted me to jump on and play for a little after we spent a lot of time playing Rainbow Six Vegas 2 so it was like old times hanging out on a game together even if it was through Share Play. That was the only time I ever used the Share Play feature and when I did it had a lot of disconnections, I am unsure if that was because of either one of our internet connections or not though.
