  1. In terms of digital art, I do feel that games do fall within that category. Much like music and movies can be classed as an art, I feel that games do fall within that category, and it does take a talent and a know how to create games and get them perfect and ready for play by those who enjoy games. I fully understand why there is the argument that they are either an art or not as many people do see art as being something different not something like gaming so I wouldn't say anyone is right or wrong in that instance for their opinion.
  2. This is a no brainer for me because I really feel that with the amount I have played and with so much more practice I could do well in an Esports team with this game. That game is Overwatch. Unfortunately, I feel that if I was to do that and become part of an Esports team for Overwatch, my only downfall would be not being able to use my main which is Lucio, if I was able to use my main all the time as part of the team, I would be fine. Call of Duty would be a close second for me when it comes to an Esports team as I have played a lot of Call of Duty and I feel being part of an Esports game for that would be pretty cool. My only issue with Call of Duty would be that I am kind of burned out on that game at the moment and because of that, this would not be my first choice over this and Overwatch.
  3. As much as I have in the past played Horror games, I can't say they are my most favorite genre and because of that I usually tend to play games that have events during Halloween such as Fortnite with their FortniteMares, Overwatch Halloween Event or even Roblox with their Work at Pizza Place Halloween update or the Halloween update on Murder Mystery on Roblox. I know this year Overwatch and their Halloween update does have a mode where there are jump scares and I did play it the other day and as much as the jump scares are not as bad as some games, they do catch you out in terms of where they are placed to kick in in the game.

    Pokémon

I remember when I was younger, this would have been in the 90's Pokemon was all the rage, from cards to the games everyone either had the game or the cards or both. I remember my brothers were all into getting the cards and they used to collect them and with me being interested and curious, I myself started collecting them as well. My youngest brother was the one who played the games quite frequently and I did play them a few times myself but it was never anything I full go into in terms of Polemon. I didn't mind the cards and even watching it on the TV but the games I struggled to get into.
  5. I have had a Nintendo Switch since around November 2018 and I will admit that I have used the console way more docked than I have used it as a handheld but most of the time that is because I prefer to play games on a bigger screen and if I am in my living room anyway it makes more sense to play it docked unless someone else is using the TV at the time. During the Summer months I tend to use it a little more than I would normally as a handheld, especially when I am outside in the garden on a nice day and would still like to play a game when I am outside enjoying the sunshine. This year though due to the severe heatwaves we had here in the UK I didn't risk taking my Nintendo Switch outside as much as I would normally as I did hear that in those kind of temperatures, it would cause issues.
  6. I myself have been in the same situation where I always see these ads on my phone or even on other games that have ads and as much as I do get the urge to click and check them out, I know from reviews and things I have seen around the internet that these are usually a scam or they are usually games where you can earn money but it takes forever to earn enough for a cash out and then when you do cash out they make you wait even longer to receive that payout. Because of this I tend to avoid these and just ignore them as I know if I click on them and even try them, they won in their bid to bring people in and you do not get what you thought you were going to be getting.
  7. As someone who was a huge fan of the first game and played it a lot throughout the years, I was very much excited for Overwatch 2 and the fact it was going free to play. I really felt that with Blizzard would have handled the release of Overwatch 2 better than they did, I was however, very much wrong and it did end up being a complete disaster with huge queues and a DDOS attack all on release day. I do give them credit at how they dealt with it though and was able to get the game back up and running for the players, but I feel with a little more thought, they could have probably avoided the issues they ended up with. Turn ourselves to our first event which is the Halloween event, and I was super excited for the Halloween event BUT soon became disappointed. I love the fact they have new modes for the Halloween event this year and I have tried them as best I can whilst the game was plagued with server issues again after the update, so I wasn't able to play much. I was hoping for things to be similar to how Overwatch 1 was in terms of the event where you would be able to play games and possibly earn Halloween cosmetics from loot boxes or by completing so many games, but they seem to have locked skins and such behind a pay wall now and we are getting very little for completing challenges which is a huge disappointment. I really feel like they should have kept loot boxes in but made them earnable and not for purchase, why they fully took away loot boxes is beyond me when they could have done so much more with them.
  8. I can fully understand why Sony would be worried about COD becoming a Microsoft Exclusive. Every year without fail, Call of Duty always has huge amounts of sales and Sony losing that on their systems would definitely be a hit to them financially. I personally myself have gone off Call of Duty over the last few years due to the lack of new ideas that they bring to the game and the game always seems like a copy and paste of the previous with a few changes, however, I feel once Microsoft finalize the deal with Activision that will give Microsoft more lea-way to hopefully split how often the games are released and bring more new stuff to the game. If Microsoft are able to do that and it does increase the game sales a lot more it may be more of a kick in the teeth to Sony if it does become Microsoft exclusive and they probably have that on their mind which is what is adding more to the concern about them losing it as an exclusive.
  9. I am someone who loves to be able to play games whilst sat in my living room but also like to play games whilst on the go as well. I have my Xbox One X and my Nintendo Switch that both sit in my living room that I tend to use on a regular basis, but I know with my Nintendo Switch I can take that from the dock and use it as a handheld if I feel like it which is always ideal for me if I fancy a change of scenery or if I am travelling. I would say that I do use my Xbox more than any other console at the moment as I prefer certain games such as Fortnite and Apex on the Xbox over the Nintendo Switch. Mobile gaming is also another one I enjoy using for on-the-go gaming especially for games such as Stumble Guys or even games like WWE Supercards or WWE Champions.
  10. I often think about this myself all the time. As a huge fan of Xbox I am always eager to hear about their next moves and what the next console may end up being and even though many people do tend to speculate what the next name would be as they do tend to go for very unique names, many are never right and Xbox always manages to amaze it's fan base with their next name for a console. I personally myself would love to see a handheld console from Xbox, I really feel that is what they are missing out on at the moment and so many would absolutely love to see a handheld Xbox console. Not sure if they will ever consider it with them giving users the ability to use their phones to game now but it would be awesome to see. I have seen people speculate on a name for a handheld Xbox and that has been Xbox 720 but I am not sure if a name for a handheld would go well with something similar to that of their consoles in the past.
  11. I know where I live, we used to have two places that used to have a policy where you would take games back you had completed and no longer wanted for store credit. Unfortunately, one of the stores that allowed this went out of business which was a shame, and we were left with only one store that would do this now. With us having the ability now to either buy games physically or digitally I usually tend to buy my games digitally, so I don't tend to go back into the store now and return them once I have completed them for store credit as I am unable to do so. I do know that the store we have left now though will buy any used games that you have as long as they are in good condition for a small fee depending on the kind of game it is and how old the game is. I do sometimes do this to clear out any games we no longer play or have the ability to play but it's not as often now as it used to be before digital downloads were released.
  12. As someone who suffers with Fibromyalgia, stress is a big factor to pain increases including severe migraines I have found, and I do everything I can to try and avoid stress. Understandably it's not something I can fully avoid as everyone goes through stress at some point in their life but if I can avoid stress I will always do so. Gaming has definitely been the top option for me to help beat stress, I always find myself submerged in a game I enjoy such as Destiny 2 or even just a few games on Fortnite that really do help me lower my stress levels and avoid severe amounts of pain. Music would definitely be almost equal to gaming as well for stress relief, but I tend to listen to music when I am playing games anyway so work really well for me.
  13. I don't mind having unrealistic jumping mechanics as long as it works well in the game, and it makes sense to have them in the game. One example I can think of that recently brought unrealistic jumping to the game was Fortnite. With them now releasing their zero-build mode, we needed ways to be able to get around the map that otherwise would need building and the new jumping mechanics that they have in game now works really well and really does help you get around the map without the need to build.

    Lego Games

Yes, I have played quite a lot of Lego Games such as Harry Potter and also Lego Movie. One of my youngest sons absolutely loves the Lego games and has played pretty much most of them and still tends to go back and play through them when he wants to and always seems to enjoy them each time he plays. One memory that really does stick out to me when it comes to a Lego game was when I played co-op with my son on Lego Movie. We spent hours on that specific Lego game completing everything and collecting everything. It was a lot of fun, and my son really did enjoy working together on it to complete everything.
  15. I absolutely love Mario, remember growing up playing on the Super Nintendo and one of the games that always rings out to me when I remember back to playing is Yoshi's Island. I loved that game and spent so many hours on it, Yoshi was absolutely adorable in that game. When it comes to multiplayer games my absolute favorite would probably have to be Yoshi who I choose every time. Failing that Peach will always be my second go to as one of my favorites to use in an online multiplayer Mario game.
  16. I can totally relate to what you are saying regarding different controllers feeling different. I remember when I was younger, my brothers had a PS1 and I used to play Crash Bandicoot on that so much when they were not using their console and I never had an issue with the controller, found it easy to use and comfortable. I then switched to playing on Xbox and got used to using the Xbox controller and after that, I couldn't use the PlayStation controller and still to this day I find the PlayStation controller to be uncomfortable to use. You would think that it would be that I just find the Xbox controller more comfortable, but I can get on with a Nintendo controller which I have for my Nintendo Switch just fine. I am not sure if it's because the Xbox and Nintendo Switch controllers are similar in size and shape or if it's something else.
  17. Whenever someone asks me what game I would love to see become backwards compatible, one game always pops into my head and I know that it has a lot of interest in wanting to be seen as a backwards compatible game but so far, we haven't seen anything yet. Simpsons Hit and Run is a game I would absolutely love to see become backwards compatible. I remember when I was pregnant with the first back in 2003 and it was a quite difficult pregnancy and I had to rest a lot, Simpsons Hit and Run was a game that kept me entertained and I absolutely loved it. There have been rumors that it may become a backwards compatible game but so far, no news yet. Every time I see someone on social media or online regarding it being a possibility, I do get a little excited but usually end up feeling disappointed.
  18. Yes! I have had my joy con drift since back in 2020 after I purchased Animal Crossing New Horizons on the Switch during the lockdown as something for me and my kids to play that was a little different to the games, we had been playing such as Fortnite. I have had my Nintendo Switch now since November 2018, so it took just over a year for the drift to start with my joy cons, they were not dropped or damaged in anyway intentionally it just started happening. I was completely unaware that you could send them back to Nintendo and have them repaired for free. I am curious though, are they still offering this service or is it something that they have now stopped? I would love to be able to get mine repaired, if possible, rather than fork out for brand new ones at the moment.

    Need game ideas

It can sometimes be difficult to find games especially for younger children as it always tends to be the popular games that get advertised more so than any other games and these games tend to be for people much older such as teens or even adults. It all really depends on if you are looking for free or paid. I know some games are available as part of Apple Arcade which is a gaming subscription service which is $5 a month. Run Sackboy! Run is a great game for someone of the age you are looking for and it's also FREE. This game is the mobile version of Little Big Planet. It's a runner platform game and in the game the player can run and collect, bubbles, coins and stickers which will increase your score through the level. Each level will give you more tasks, so it makes it different each level you reach. Rayman Adventures is another game you could try with your child that they may enjoy. This game is also FREE! In this game the player runs through trying to find secret eggs that protect the sacred tree. Another great one is Animal Crossing Pocket Camp. This one is also free and if you have ever heard of or seen animal crossing or even played it yourself, you will know how much fun can be had in this game. I hope these have helped a little. I would definitely recommend looking into Apple Arcade though as there are a lot of games in there that are suitable for a 4 year old that would be worth checking out.
