There’s a good possibility that AI could take our jobs from us. I would say it depends on the job - something like cleaning? Yep. A robot performing the duties of a Police Officer - I can’t see that one coming without massive exploits and up roar from the communities.

Does anyone still read the newspaper?
Bizdustry replied to melanie_marie27's topic in Technology & Gadgets
I read the newspapers. Well, not the physical ones, but digitally online to news providers. That way, it doesn’t cost me anything to get the latest news where I am -
What Gadget Are You Eyeing to Buy Soon?
Bizdustry replied to killamch89's topic in Technology & Gadgets
I am eyeing up to get the Apple Vision Pro. But I’m trying to save everything I can at the moment, after paying the bills to be able to afford it without putting it on finance with Apple. I do wonder how I’ll look walking around with it on though 😂 -
Have your smartphone battery swollen up from over charging?
Bizdustry replied to Ja sa bong's topic in Technology & Gadgets
I’ve only ever had one battery swell up. When a battery swells up it’s not usually become of overcharging, it’s because of its reaching the end of lifespan. So any battery, even those in cars can only be charged so many times before it has to be replaced! -
What Gadgets Do You Use to Protect Your Home?
Bizdustry replied to killamch89's topic in Technology & Gadgets
I use CCTV cameras, tracking devices and video doorbells. All of this helps me keep my property safe even when I’m not at home. But you can’t rely on technology fully to secure your home. -
What Obsolete Tech Do You Still Own?
Bizdustry replied to killamch89's topic in Technology & Gadgets
I still own DVD players, and old Nokia phones. I think my late family relatives have record players but that’s going before my time on earth. But I think records and discs are starting to come back into fashion now, so I hear. -
How Efficient Is Roaming for International Calls?
Bizdustry replied to killamch89's topic in Technology & Gadgets
I’ve never used it. Instead, I’ve downloaded an App called TextMe where you can rent a number and call over VoIP which is very much similar to WhatsApp. This means you require an internet connection to make a phone call - not a cellular signal. -
I recycle a lot of cardboard from EBikes I have delivered as part of video reviews I do on my YouTube channel. I try and be eco friendly by separating my recycling from the rubbish on a regular basis.

What annoys you most about the English Language?
Bizdustry replied to killamch89's topic in General Chat
I’m fluent in English and was born in Britain. A few things annoy me - there’s many types - American, Australian, British, Canadian for example. Even though they may understand you some words may be completely foreign to English counterparts. -
The very first thing I did was visit McDonalds. I had a Sausage Egg McMuffin, Hash Brown and Orange Juice. Pretty much set me up for the today, with some added coffees late morning.

I don’t have a library at home. I know this sounds stupid but I’ll go to the library for that. I do however have a book collection on Amazon that I read. It’s easier storing digital books as at least then you can remember where they all are.

I’m not scared of thunder storms unless they are really close and loud. I usually sleep through them - I’m quite a deep sleeper! It takes a lot for something to wake me.

What's the most annoying thing other drivers do on the road?
Bizdustry replied to killamch89's topic in General Chat
Hog overtaking lanes. Like seriously, if there’s no one in the normal driving lane and they are sitting on the outside lane, it’s just inconsiderate and selfish. This then means nobody can overtake him! -
What should you be doing right now but you're not doing it?
Bizdustry replied to Ja sa bong's topic in General Chat
Sleeping. Nearly 3am but found myself posting on forums and social media instead. Will head off to bed for some sleep in the next hour (hopefully!) -
Yes, all the time! I generally get annoyed when I’ve made a mistake. But the most important part of this? It’s that I learn from what happened, this is why being annoyed at myself does help.

What games did you play during recess or in the school playground?
Bizdustry replied to killamch89's topic in General Chat
I can remember playing Football, Man Hunt (it, but with hiding), Rugby, and a few other sports there and then. To be completely honest I wasn’t that much into sports when I was a kid. I just found there was too much competition between students. -
Hey everyone? Just to make you aware that I am now back and starting to become an active member of the VGR community. For those that don’t know me, my name is Alex and I’m from the UK.

Is it actually possible for a new gamer, that eventually advances his or her skill set to work in E Sports full time and make a full time job out of it? Does anyone know anyone in real life who has actually managed to achieve that? Or, is it just the famous names I see that keeping popping up?

Do you have your phone plugged in while gaming? A lot of mobile gamers find that there phone takes a huge amount of batter, resulting in significant decreases. To counter part this, do you have your phone on charge while using it for mobile gaming?

Who remembers the Snake Game from the Nokia 6610 / 3310 series? It was very basic, 2D but often killed a huge amount of spare time to enjoy gaming when I was a young kid. Does anyone else remember this game back in their day?
-
If my mobile phone overheats whilst gaming, what advice would you give me? I have a iPhone 15 Pro Max and it often overheats while video gaming. It takes a lot of battery so often have it plugged in while playing but Apple refuses to charge when it gets too warm.

Does anyone have any recommendations on what VR headset I should buy? Anything under 1000$ would be ideal - but something which isn’t too poor quality but handles itself smoothly and decently. Would appreciate any advice!
-
Who’s buying the Apple Vision Pro? The only problem is that it costs 1000’s of dollars to purchase. Does anyone here own one and can perhaps share their insights on the headset? It’s a VR headset and computer at the same from the looks of it

Thinking about the future of gaming from now, so let’s say 50-100 years from now. What do you think the future of gaming will be like for new generations? We have VR but do you think there’ll be simulations where you can feel the equivalent of the 5 senses? what do you think the gaming industry will see?
