The original Duke Nukem on DOS I've replayed a TON over the years.

I definitely prefer as much detail as possible and as many options as possible.

I don't mind it that much as long as it's viable to grind in-game currency to pay for it. A good example is Borderlands 3 where you can grind Eridium to pay for customization options. I mind it more when it's kinda pushing you towards paying real money to unlock customizations or there are timed exclusives that you have no way to grind for.

Violence existed before video games.

Yeah Blacklight Retribution was my go to shooter for a while. Really fun game.

Yeah, agreed. And too reliant on asshole FMV actors. Kinda like in the 90's but worse. At least the gameplay is still fun.

It's the game designers jizzing over how clever and artsy they are so they wanna show off how everything has been one big time travel thing just for the sake of it. Look nothing in that game made any story sense to me. It literally felt like they just wrote it to make people go "mind blown".

Uhm.... I don't think DLC fixes bugs... unless you meant the trend of releasing games early and patching them later...

I know a person who was into the game pretty much at launch and purely because of the gameplay... So it does have its fans.

Being able to customize your character and most importantly their gender. And yeah I agree on offline play especially in a single player game.

The thing is stuff like that is fun for doing once or twice and going around doing random shit is entertaining for maybe 5 minutes for me. My biggest issue with the GTA series is that I never identified with the characters. The macho attitude, culture and such is stuff I just don't care for and thus I just kinda lost interest entirely.

Aye. That's what I meant. But yeah usually I either die or just reload a save. If it's an MMO I have no chance but to commit suicide.
