I mean I've lied about my irl gender a lot in the past. I feel that's excusable being a trans female though.

The combat is fun but ultimately feels pointless sadly. So yeah it depends on how much you enjoy the combat I feel.

Here is my complete Rage 2 review: https://www.vgr.com/rage-2-pc-game-review/

Cyberpunk 2077 release date was probably the biggest thing for me. I want that game so bad. Otherwise I thought Doom Eternal looks awesome, Outer Worlds looks awesome, Baldur's Gate 3 is probably gonna be awesome, and Nintendo has a bunch of cool stuff coming. Not much that appeals to me but hey, happy for the fans of Animal Crossing and Banjo Kazooie. And Watch_Dogs Legion looks awesome. That's not to say there weren't duds though. Bethesda's new Commander Keen game looks like pure trash and has me really worried about how they're going to treat the IP.

Borderlands 2. Doing the new DLC.
-
I think they still hold up fairly well. They are stylized enough to still work.

Weird, it was a pretty big deal when it came out. I remember it getting a lot of attention back in '11. I guess it's just not a game many people are still talking about though. It's good though. Personally I'd say FEAR 3 is a bit underrated. It's not as good as the first game by any means but it does feel unique and the co-op makes it very fun to play with a friend.

Rage 2. Getting close to finishing it which means my review should be coming pretty soon!

Is there any Triple-A games that can play on mobile?
Alyxx replied to Rosella's topic in Video Games
Why would you wanna play Overwatch on a mobile phone? Why would you wanna play any AAA game on a smartphone? Smartphones have limited battery life, limited processing power and most importantly, unless you shell out money for a bluetooth controller you're limited to a touch screen which has nowhere NEAR the amount of tactile feedback a keyboard or controller would have. Just get a Switch or PS Vita if you wanna play AAA games on the go. -
Except Bethesda didn't make this game. Avalanche did. That being said, it kinda doesn't really feel like it even has its own identity. When they described it as a mix of Mad Max and Doom that is literally what it is. It doesn't do any unique spin on it, it just takes elements from Rage, Mad Max and Doom and mixes them together. Sure all of those individual elements are fun but it ends up making Rage 2 this weird amalgation of elements from other games without doing anything unique. Say what you want about Bethesda games but they are at least fun to play (with the exception of Fallout 76 notably), but Rage 2 is just kind of boring in my opinion. I'll get into more detail about Rage 2 in my review of it but saying it's disappointing cause it's a Bethesda game is just kind of weird imo when Bethesda is only publishing it.

The Epic Store exclusivity doesn't bother me. Pitchford does.

Yeah this game is... something special lol

I think escapism to a degree is healthy since it allows us to cope with stress much easier. It can get us through a lot in life.

Having grown up with games that ran at often less than 30 fps, it's not as important to me as a lot of newer gamers who I feel are honestly a bit spoiled in that regard. However I do care about the framerate being consistent. I don't like sudden dips.
-
I think the game has a lot of positive things about it, but it also has a lot of wasted potential. That being said I do think it has received an unfair amount of criticism in media.
-
Same. Mostly just clearing out the map. Grinding ftw.
-
Grim Fandango Remastered I also completed 100%
-
That being said the story in Rage 2 is really not that good, so for the most part the game just doesn't feel interesting.
-
Yeah a good story usually makes me rush through the game as well. Though in the case of Rage 2 I'm rushing through it just so I can consider it completed before reviewing it.

Should microtransactions and loot boxes be banned?
Alyxx replied to StaceyPowers's topic in Gaming Forum
To be fair here and play the devil's advocate, a lot of games that doesn't have either of those things can still feel unfinished so it's not really the sole reason I think. I think it's more an issue with crunch culture contributing to the drop in quality. Microtransactions and loot boxes I think exist more out of corporations desperate to make a profit, since the amount of sales needed to make up for the cost of producing these games and marketing them are so astronomically high, loot boxes and microtransactions more function as a safety net for the publisher than anything. Basically if a game doesn't set sales records these days, it's considered a failure. I think personally that's the biggest reason they have become more ubiquitous in games. -
It's already impacted me and my friends. We've decided to outright boycot Gearbox at this point cause there's no way in hell we're gonna contribute to this guy's paycheck.

I think he's only happy when he gets his ego stroked. XD

Whenever you complete ANY objective the game pauses and shows you the amount of XP you get and blablabla. It gets very obnoxious and very old fast.

Yes.

Agree 100%. He needs to be fired for bad conduct and wrongful advertising. The guy is a con artist, and a manchild as well judging by his tantrums on Twitter.
