In my opinion, it's important but shouldn't be the best feature of the game. I'd much rather the gameplay be excellent and the graphics a bit dated than playing a lackluster game.

I agree. I think a good game isn’t defined by its graphics, but it should be defined by the gameplay and features that it offers. I’d play a game that has subpar graphics as long as the game is fun.

I remember when games use to cost around $25 to $30 when I was a kid.

So paying $50 and higher for a video game now seems really expensive......or at least, it does to me.

I totally agree. I used to be able to get two games for $50 10-15 years ago, so yes, games are more expensive than they were before. However, the costs of developing games are also higher.

Neopets I have heard of and I remember checking that out a while ago. Marapets is one I had not heard of but I will be checking that out. Can never have to many sites to play on I don't believe when it comes to virtual pet sites.

Marapets is very similar to Neopets, so if you played Neopets before, you might like Marapets. Subeta is also another pet site that’s quite similar to Neo.

I played it when it was still fairly new but opted to stop playing. I have heard from some that the game is a big cash grab these days and you can't even do certain things without investing money.

How long did you play it for? I used to see do many people playing it, but I just couldn’t see myself getting into it.

I heard so many compare it to COD and call it the COD killer but it seems now many have changed their tune, especially since COD BO6 has been announced and they are bringing so much back to the game that was taken away.

I still have yet to play more XDefiant, will be a game to play for a change from time to time.

Exactly. Xdefiant’s number of active players have also drastically went down. Their first two weeks numbers were very high, but not anymore.

This is one of those reasons insurance works pretty well. If you've got no insurance on the device, you would have spent a lot of money getting it fixed.

Exactly. I got tired of spending a lot of money just to get the screen fixed without insurance. I’ll never go without it again.

If you actually ask me what have affected people's social life today, I wouldn't say it is gaming but the use of smartphone. A lot of people tend to be over addicted to the use of their smartphone that socializing with people in an interpersonal relationship is always very difficult for them.

This is true. The same can said about social media. Some people are addicted to it and it has affected their social life.

  8. Honestly, they’re a tad bit more expensive than they were before. Games used to cost $50 and now they cost $60-70. You can also blame the cost of inflation on this as well.

  9. Dice and Fold is a turn-based dungeon crawler where your only way of attacking the enemy is by rolling dice. Roll dice to damage enemy cards to FOLD. Inspired by classic Solitaire, in a top-down table and enemies made out of cards, try to beat the dungeon with 20 unique classes. Build your deck, kill monsters.

    It’s available on Steam

what are your thoughts on this newly released game?

Sorry, I didn't mean to be harsh, I just trying to understand what was so compelling about this.  And I must admit how uninteresting it is does kind of make it interesting.  Not that this is worth playing.

No worries! I understand where you’re coming from exactly and it seems like its designed for younger crowd. Especially with the character voices and storylines, it doesn’t seem like it’s made for adults. The theme doesn’t seem very attractive now that I think about it and dig deeper.

  11. @Shagger There wasn’t anything that drew me into this game. I was simply sharing the game trailer as it was just recently released. I watched the trailer as well and decided to share it with other gamers. It was first released in Japan and it was just rolled out into other countries. I haven’t had the chance to personally play it.

There are so many virtual pets site games that I can recommend for you if you are willing to dabble into checking some of them out. The ones that I have been playing which I really enjoy are ; Neopets and Marapets. They are great games you can check out.

I really like playing Subeta and Marapets. They both have a lot things that can keep users entertaining for hours. I also enjoy playing Flight Rising. I loved playing Neopets back in the day. I haven’t made a new account since I lost my old one. I’ve been thinking about making a new one though. Santae is a nice upcoming pet game. It’s in alpha testing right though.
