  1. Even a year after launch, Baldur's Gate 3 is still pulling in over 100,000 daily players on Steam.

Baldur's Gate 3 has been consistently hitting over 100,000 players on Steam each week, only dipping slightly a few times, while its peak player count each month has never dipped below 103,767.

For added context, that's a better player retention rate than the likes of Cyberpunk 2077, Elden Ring, and Hogwarts Legacy, all games that had bigger launches.

Baldur's Gate 3 is a pretty special game, there can be no doubt about that. Even if you're not a fan of Larian's RPG masterpiece, you have to admit that the numbers Baldur's Gate 3 was seeing close to launch and the amount of cultural impact it's had in such a short amount of time is pretty impressive. In fact, Baldur's Gate 3 is still seeing incredibly impressive numbers almost a year after launch, pulling numbers that most publishers can only dream of.

If you head to SteamDB and check out Baldur's Gate 3, you should be able to get a pretty good idea of how popular the game still is. While the game is nowhere near its peak player count of 875,343 that it set at launch, Baldur's Gate 3 is still managing to pull in over 100,000 daily players every single week, only dipping below that number a few times over the past six months.

I sincerely love the big screen experience, but sometimes I realised that it's just not worth the hassle. Now, I have a comfy couch, a huge TV, and a streaming subscription as well. why do I need to bother with overpriced tickets?

I agree. The price of snacks and drinks at the movie theater is also overpriced. I’d rather buy my own snacks and drinks & stay at home.

However, there are some movies where I’d rather watch a big screen though.

LOS ANGELES (AP) — Hollywood’s video game performers announced they would go on strike Thursday, throwing part of the entertainment industry into another work stoppage after talks for a new contract with major game studios broke down over artificial intelligence protections.

The strike — the second for video game voice actors and motion capture performers under the Screen Actors Guild-American Federation of Television and Radio Artists — will begin at 12:01 a.m. Friday. The move comes after nearly two years of negotiationswith gaming giants, including divisions of Activision, Warner Bros. and Walt Disney Co., over a new interactive media agreement.

SAG-AFTRA negotiators say gains have been made over wages and job safety in the video game contract, but that the two sides remained split over the regulation of generative AI. A spokesperson for the video game producers, Audrey Cooling, said the studios offered AI protections, but SAG-AFTRA’s negotiating committee said that the studios’ definition of who constitutes a “performer” is key to understanding the issue of who would be protected.

SAG-AFTRA is going on strike against the video game industry.

“We’re not going to consent to a contract that allows companies to abuse A.I. to the detriment of our members”

Companies facing the strike include Activision, Disney, Insomniac, EA, Take-Two, Epic Games and WB Games.

Haha, I love fast food a lot and If it was healthy, I'll eat it for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. 🤣

I do too. Mcdonald’s bacon mccdouble’s are my favorite. Jack in the box’s breakfast jack’s are also good. I also enjoy eating Taco bell and popeyes. I used to eat fast food all the time, but now I usually only eat it once a month.

  6. Honestly, I haven’t played Monopoly go. I should give it a go soon though. The concept sounds like something I’d really enjoy.

I don't follow all of them. This is actually the reason why I follow some trusted X users when it comes to getting updates about video games because they are always accurate with the leaks they post about some video games.

Same here. I also check other sources to see if the leaks are true or not.

Same here - I haven't checked it in years. If I like a song, we'll it doesn't matter to me if mainstream media doesn't like it. I listen to what I like not what's popular.

I’m the same way. I’m more into underground artists than mainstream except for certain artists. I don’t like what they play on the radio all the time.

For the fact that Sony provided a network coverage on their own and not the www type, same as Microsoft with their Xbox Live, they needed the subscription payment in order to maintain their own network server and the services they provide. But it's way too much, the price should be lowered in order for average gamers to enjoy playing online games.

Exactly. If they didn’t supply their own servers, then it would probably be free.

The infrastructure is why it costs to game online.
