What little details makes you appreciate a game more?
GameOn replied to Kennysplash's topic in Gaming Forum
I like dynamic soundtracks and it can change the situations in the game. I've seen it happen severally. -
Video game characters you wanted to get to know better
GameOn replied to StaceyPowers's topic in Gaming Forum
In my case, it’s Aerith from the Final Fantasy VII series. She offered me a little taste of a mysterious past and then departed far too soon. I wanted more. -
Same here! Gaming provides an escape from daily stress and anxiety. Losing myself in a virtual world helps me recharge.
-
What video games did you replay many times after completion?
GameOn replied to Kennysplash's topic in Gaming Forum
I did that with The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time. I replay the game because it has an interesting plot, memorable characters and perfect play. -
I have many figurines, artbooks and other limited game editions on my shelf. My best find is a poster of portal 2.
-
That's so impressive! I have mastered Super Smash Bros. Melee, to be honest. I know this because my skills are higher than any of my friends.

Certain types of NPCs you just are tired of killing in games?
GameOn replied to StaceyPowers's topic in Gaming Forum
True! It also annoys me especially in games like Call of Duty or Battlefield. It some times destroyed the appeal of the game for me -
I can imagine that it is insanely funny and a chore to manage a team of mutants at the same time reducing the opponents on the field. It's going to be hilarious.

Tutorials that make things seem harder than they really are
GameOn replied to StaceyPowers's topic in Gaming Forum
Another example that comes to mind is Watch Dogs: Legion. The tutorial described the process as if it was one of the most complex things a person could ever attempt, but once you start, it’s actually quite easy. -
The soundtrack in The Last of Us is the most adaptive. It adapts to the game's emotional intensity
-
Did you ever play/discover a game only after seeing its adaptation?
GameOn replied to StaceyPowers's topic in Gaming Forum
I played Dishonored after watching the animated web series. The stealth gameplay and the storyline really intrigued me, and the adaptation actually did justice to the original game. -
Has anyone’s main POV preference changed over time?
GameOn replied to StaceyPowers's topic in Gaming Forum
I play games in first-person, but after playing the Uncharted series, I started preferring third-person for action-adventure games. -
Can you pick a mobile game over a video game?
GameOn replied to Knight Barida's topic in Gaming Forum
No, It is about depth, it is about immersion. Mobile games will never give the narrative and graphics experience like The Last of Us or God of War. Mobile games are kind of fun, but if one want to experience a better gaming then one should go for PC or console. -
Have you played any game that sharpen your maths skills?
GameOn replied to Knight Barida's topic in Gaming Forum
Those games are useful because you can practice solving real-life problems using the knowledge of math. Of course, another one is Portal that one has to use spatial and geometrical understanding to solve a puzzle. -
True, but exceptions exist. Some of the titles justifying the price were Elden Ring or The Last of Us Part II. I believe that overpriced games are bad for the industry, putting people into Game Pass or pirating games instead.

Games that didn’t meet your expectations, but which you liked anyway?
GameOn replied to StaceyPowers's topic in Gaming Forum
I didn’t feel that, Andromeda met the standards of the original trilogy, however, the game surprises me through combat, characters and exploration. The capability of the game was greater than its demerits. -
I have always wanted to go underwater and explore the mysteries of the sea by playing Subnautica which is a similar game to Outer Wilds . .

Have you ever run out of critical supplies with no recourse in a game?
GameOn replied to StaceyPowers's topic in Gaming Forum
This happened to me in The Long Dark. I was on day 50, and realized I had no medical supplies and had a severely injured character. but I was unable to scavenge or craft anything to help myself. -
How do people deal with permadeath/limited lives?
GameOn replied to StaceyPowers's topic in Gaming Forum
Permadeath makes players more careful and think a lot about the actions they take in a game. I practice moderation, balance, and timing, take risks and accept consequences, perceive death as storytelling, and enjoy the process.
