Button replied to Lens's topic in Gaming Forum
I think the multiplayer games can coexist with single player experiences with no issues, but what is worrying is the focus of the industry on online engagement and revenue streams. -
Is There Such a Thing as Too Much Realism in Video Games?
Button replied to Lens's topic in Gaming Forum
I think too much realism can also make games less fun because some bit of abstraction can be very beneficial for the gameplay and it can enhance the overall enjoyment as well. -
How Do Video Games Influence Our Perception of History and Culture?
Button replied to Lens's topic in Gaming Forum
I understand the fact that games can be a valuable tool for exploring historical events but we need to be aware of the inaccuracies that maybe involved as well. -
Based on my opinion, the video games are absolutely an art form because they require creativity, skill, and vision to actually craft them and to also evoke emotions and ideas just like what we’ve seen in iterature, film, or music.

How Important Is a Game’s Art Style Compared to Its Gameplay?
Button replied to Lens's topic in Gaming Forum
I think art style and gameplay are well connected. I said this because a very good art style can draw you in, but if the gameplay is shallow, you'll definitely lose interest. -

This is a great topic, I think loot boxes are very unethical when they're used to exploit players, especially when it involves the children. And another thing is the fact that some games allow you to buy loot boxes with real money and also sell the items for real money is basically gambling.

Button replied to Lens's topic in Gaming Forum
Those are great list. What is actually missing is the AI-generated content. The AI-assisted game design, I think could lead to more innovative and engaging gameplay mechanics. -
I think the level of design of this game is very clever, and the retro graphics are so charming charming too. It's worth trying out.

For me, I'm not sure about this one. Cleaning up crime scenes doesn't exactly sound like my idea of fun. But, I do enjoy simulator games especially if it's done well.

The Ubisoft's entry into cloud gaming is indeed a nice addition to the market. This will bring in more competition, which also means better services and innovation as well.

I once bought a gaming mouse and it was of good quality, but another time, I got a faulty keyboard from Temu. It's crazy 🤣

That's indeed a great question. I'm a big fan of the Vita, but since it's not getting new games, I've actually switched to the Switch for travel.

I agree with you on that. It's very eessential to address the existing storylines and characters. Capcom has been known with the habit of introducing characters, only to abandon them later.

I'm super excited to dive into Fallout: London. It’s free features makes it even more intriguing. I’m really waiting for its release on Steam.

Button replied to Kane99's topic in Gaming News
A remake of Fallout 1 and 2 would be incredible, but it seems like Bethesda is focused on other projects for now and it seems like we'll have to keep dreaming. -

Game Informer Magazine shut down after 33 years in service
Button replied to Kane99's topic in Gaming News
I'm so surprised Game Informer lasted this long, considering the level of decline of print media, but it’s very clear that digital is the clear future. -
This news is so devastating. Ready At Dawn has really contributed to the gaming industry, especially in the VR space.

The strike is a necessary step because it will protect the rights of performers in the video game industry. AI technology is advancing so rapidly, and if it's left unchecked, it could lead to the replacement of human performers.

I agree with you about Go. it's an extremely complex game that requires deep strategic thinking. Another game which I think demands a high level of skill is Overwatch. .

The Microsoft Flight Simulator look so realistic and educational too. Another simulation game that I find very engaging is Cities: Skylines.

I agree with those choices so far. I'd also include Minecraft because of its creative freedom and versatility.
