This is an exciting news! Returning as Atsu a female samurai is refreshing. The historical setting of 1600’s and a new protagonist gives me hope that it will be as interesting as the previous ones.

I like the overall gloomy dark fantasy atmosphere along with serious combat. The anticipation of the atmosphere looks so promising to me. can’t wait to get into it.

Becrowned - Game inspired by early Silent Hill games
Button replied to Kane99's topic in Video Games
That's spot on! The atmosphere has been built in such a way so as to resemble survival horror, which should be very familiar to fans of the genre. The fact that Becrowned may breath new life into the genre, it makes it so encouraging. -
Also looking forward for the second one too!. The nostalgia is real. Many of the fans of the original game remembered the game’s plot and the characters because of their compelling story.

I would go with : 1. Super Mario 64 2. The Last of Us 3. Dark Souls 4. Minecraft 5. GoldenEye 007

One day I was carrying my gaming laptop and mistakenly, it fell down from my hand and the screen got broke. Fortunately the inner parts were not affected but changing the screen was an expensive affair.

I own a few gaming t-shirts but I usually don’t wear them except during gaming sessions. Otherwise, they are left relaxing.

Does anyone else get stressed when you can’t save manually?
Button replied to StaceyPowers's topic in Gaming Forum
This is why I hate games that have few autosave points. This creates much tension as I work through the process with the understanding that a small wrong turn will set back the process significantly. -
I pass my old consoles to the young ones or my other relatives and friends to enable them experience the gaming world. This is a good thing as seeing others get the same thrills that I did when I was getting into gaming.

No fixed schedule for me. I try to integrate gaming into my schedules. I take hold of gaming sessions where I can. It could be lunch time, late in the night or often unplanned hours long sessions with my friends.

In my opinion, games are not expensive at all taking into account the hours of fun which they offer. Indie games deliver big experiences with small budgets, and AAA games represent grand experiences with grand budgets. So, have some choices to make based on our budget.

Anyone played any of the many remakes of Myst?
Button replied to StaceyPowers's topic in Gaming Forum
I have played ‘RealMyst’ of 2000 and both the remakes of 2020. The latter actually has a graphical update and enhanced puzzles. But some charm is actually lost in translation. -
Ideas for game mechanics that you’ve never seen used in real games?
Button replied to StaceyPowers's topic in Gaming Forum
I wish there is Emotional Resonance, which is a game mechanic in which NPCs have feelings for the player based on the experiences, thereby affecting narrative. -

Button replied to StaceyPowers's topic in Gaming Forum

SuperPlay has a good story to tell. It was established in 2019 and being purchased for $1.95 billion is a big profit . This is the kind of growth we need to see in indie dev.

Nintendo sues Palworld for copyright infringement.
Button replied to Kennysplash's topic in Gaming News
I don't need to wonder that Nintendo is quite aggressive when it comes to IP protection. Palworld’s developers should have seen this coming. This lawsuit will have some repercussions in development of video games and in the laws of copyright. -
PlayStation Network was down for hours last night, anyone here deal with it?
Button replied to Kane99's topic in Gaming News
Yes, it was a bother that PSN was offline but, all the same, I used the time wisely. Spend some time with some offline campaigns and watched some YouTube videos. The problem clearly shows Sony need to ensure there are no further outages. -

Nintendo now going after YouTubers that show their games being emulated
Button replied to Kane99's topic in Gaming News
Nintendo’s actions will definitely hinder creativity and ensure emulation goes deeper under the surface. The reviews which Retro Game Corps provided were both informative and fun. Emulation is useful in the gaming community and Nintendo needs to think twice -
Did your school have an after school video game club?
Button replied to Kane99's topic in Gaming Forum
I sincerely understand the plight of the parents and i'm not trying to justify irresponsible gaming either. But there are lots of opportunities in the gaming world now. For instance, educational games can be used to improve our cognitive abilities. That's just one of them.
