Apple's store is owned by APPLE, THEY choose what product they distribute on it, i highly doubt there's a reason to sue Apple for removing the game from the app store, It's like if you're a cheese brand trying to get your cheese to be sold at your local mall but they say no. Even if Apple hypothetically violated some law in the removal process of Fortnite, in the end they still don't have to ever allow it on their store again nor anything else by Epic Games in the future. So basically all Epic did was to show they're an unreliable and a high-risk business partner to Apple, other companies and investors. Apple's net worth isn't going to suffer from this at all, Epic's on the other hand

Doesn't usually happen for me, but last night I did, I couldn't move my body without using a keyboard and mouse (strapped to my right arm), I was a vampire, my dad was ozzy osbourne, I took a flying hearse to my graveyard school and to unlock my latent superpowers I had to inject myself with catnip, all the students of the school had some shitty AI pathing (walking into walls and shit). Was a really fucked up dream..

commander Keen on our old ass computer from the 90s that I had my go to game that I remember doing 😉

Many years ago, looking back 10 years. 1TB was enought, nowadays it's nothing and you really need 5TB if not more nowadays. Games are getting way to big. All my flight sims are on one single SSD drive and that's 600GB. 250GB for MSFS2020 alone. COD, new game is like 150GB 😛 Remeber that you do not ahve to have every god damn game installed, I uninstalled so many unplayed games and saved 200GB space. If I'm done with a game, I remove it. Remove things you not going to use. My PC has 6TB all up in drive space.

Do you get super impatient sometimes to play your unplayed games?
Empire replied to StaceyPowers's topic in Gaming Forum
I have about 200 games across steam, gog, itch, emulation etc. I know it's not huge compared to some people. I used to feel like I had to play something because I spent money but only 5 hr playing in one sitting. But what's worse that games that I buy ended up not even being played or not enought hours into the game. Plus if started ended up done finnshed. Now I just play what I want when I want and don't worry about the rest. I do try and branch out because I can find myself playing 100s of hours of MSFS2020 and nothing else so I delve. -
I wouldn't mind Bioshock 2 so much if the story didn't seem so forced and if it didn't tear apart the symbolism of the first game. Burial at Sea was super divided. I wasn't a big fan of the second half story wise, but I get the feeling that Levine wanted to prevent Elizabeth from being gutted as a character in later installments. A lot of the symbolism in Bioshock 1 was bastardized in Bioshock 2, so I get why he would be worried and why he ended Burial at Sea how he did. But it just makes the pill a bit easier to swallow, not actually improve the DLC.

Do You Think AAA Games Are Asking Too Much of Gamers?
Empire replied to PGen98's topic in Gaming Forum
I think it's a very mixed bag in both directions. Most of AAA is graphics, which is fine and all. The stories are cool, too. I'm more of an interesting mechanics plus game flow guy. And, you don't need superb graphics to be pretty, either. Most indie games frankly suck. They would, they're mostly by new devs. I like indies mostly. I don't mind sorting through a hundred crap games to find that one passion project where the dev has looked into every aspect of the game, like Stardew Valley or Vintage Story. In the end, I'd have to lean towards indies. AAAs are made by teams. I like my games to be labors of love. Just one dev, or a couple of friends putting their whole hearts into a world of their own making. -
Does anyone else game at night to boost immersion?
Empire replied to StaceyPowers's topic in Gaming Forum
I only game till around 10pm and after that I'm off for the night and watch films 🙂 in the DARK. Not often that I do play games in the dark room at night for atmosphere. Then depends on what you are doing. 100% of the time, I stream and so the lights are fully on and BANG. -
If you don't care about restoring previous file versions or restoring deleted files, replication/sync is better than nothing. I sync my data to local drive as well as BackBlaze cloud. Traditional backup has versioning allowing you to restore to a point in time. SnapRAID might be worth looking into as well, if your data grows to the point that you can't afford a 1:1 backup. It's not the ideal backup model, but at a certain point it's not practical or affordable otherwise. For my purposes it's just what I needed.

Why do I need to game on a large TV if I have a gaming monitor that's worth $1000 😛 My monitor is an 27" Asus IPS 165hz with all the gear that comes with it. PLus TVs are not meant for high speed gaming on them, and FPS will be so bad and time respones just poitless in CSGO games.

Games you disliked the first time, and liked the second time?
Empire replied to StaceyPowers's topic in Gaming Forum
Crusader Kings 2. The learning curve can be pretty steep, but once you figure it out it's an amazing game. I think I played for a good 50 hours before I finally thought, "Yeah, I'm kind of good at this game now." The depth of the RPG elements along with the sheer breadth of the timeframe covered is really impressive. Then once you've mastered the basic game you can take advantage of the many mods available. It's definitely worth the time to figure it out if you're into grand strategy/historical strategy games. -
It does happen to me, not always, maybe once in a blue moon 😉 While flying in MSFS2020, doing a two hours flight, and as I'm flying I'm rushing to get on the ground and close the simulator to get onto another game. At times rushing the game is not an good idea, you tend to miss things out and then you have to redo it again another time. When I rush, there is a point to why I'm doing it. Gotta be an reason on why.

I’m pretty sure Nintendo’s next system will be some form of enhanced Switch. Nintendo consistently engages in an iteration-innovation cycle. If a system is wildly successful, it gets a direct successor. It’s always hard to predict Nintendo, but this has been a fairly consistent pattern. And the Nintendo Switch is undoubtedly a wildly successful system.

Are they like doing a remaster of this game?

I did not even known about this game till now 😛 And so was it a good or bad game for it's time then. Seems it won't be my cup of english tea.

What is the equivalent of “normal” difficulty in TLOU 2?
Empire replied to StaceyPowers's topic in Video Games
Never even had the option to get the game and own and play and so I do not really know, I know that they have levels of what you wanted to pick. It's moderate I say. -
Unpopular opinion: The ending of Mass Effect 3 is good
Empire replied to StaceyPowers's topic in Video Games
The ending itself I’ve grown to accept, hell, even appreciate in some aspects. I think the criticism about the game not reflecting your decisions is valid, but I’d actually argue that’s more of a problem with the Priority Earth Mission. Had characters from the series and factions appeared in that mission, based on your choices, I think the game would’ve had a far better regarded finale. I very much applaud the Priority Earth Overhaul Mod for actualising this in many ways. -
L1/R1 all day. I really hope they give this option on TLOU2 and not just move it to L2/R2 like many game have done for shooting and aiming. While I know I can re-map the buttons on the PS4, I'm just gonna come out and say it. Its a bitch to re-map buttons because I don't wanna have to switch it back and forth whenever I want to play something else

Nice to see that even in this day and age, publishers are Still putting out trailers with graphics that will be notably downgraded in the released game, complete with astoundingly fake and inauthentic-sounding commentary that literally only exists in these nichest of niche trailers.

I can see that it's It's a decent game overall but it really is just an average game, combats ehhhh story is ehhhh, exploration is fun, the emo goth hair cuts and clothes really bother me. Make men, men. 😛 But not the game that I would spend hours on it 😛

This would be a lot stronger piece if you specifically referenced prior art. It would help tie the ideas down a lot if you examined games other people have interacted with and analyzed why it did or did not work. The references to Papers, Please! works well, but can't support the entire piece on its own.
