Do you prefer to download PC Games off the internet or buy the DVD?
Empire replied to ZandraJoi's topic in Video Games
I personally prefer digital, although I do have a few physical copies, just that nowadys in todays world it makes sense to go fully digital, faster, sumple, less discs space in your room 😛 quite a few games where you buy physical, the full game gets downloaded. Then there's the patches, if they have them. Once both are done and you go start the game, then it has to install the game. I have a physical copy of Ghost Recon, after being downloaded from the disk, once I start the game for the first time, it takes up to an hour to install the game, from a freaking disk. At least with digital, the game plus it's patch gets dowloaded in one go. once it's done and installed, I don't have to go through another installation phase once I start the game. Also, for some games, they weirdly take up less space on the harddrive digitally than its physical counterpart. -
After watching that I still have no idea how to play. That felt like a sales pitch and it just put me off wanting to play. But does not really interest me

They always said about how bad and not a good idea regards playing GTA games, But turns out that I always been playing GTA 🙂 SInce a young age, but has not chnaged me at all. Other then playing GTA with mods to be a cop mostly, in RPing. All I can say that they have taken away Halo game from me, I spent so many long hours each day they got fedup with it.

Doom 2016 (amazingly optimized and can run 4k/60 on something like a 1080). Funnily enough I also replayed Crysis and played FC2 for the first time for a while, I had cpu drops to 35 fps on say the second level when the tanks come in, or in the final boss, where as the alien level thanks to all the volumetric lights had my gpu not pulling more than 90, this is without MSAA!! Half Life 2 with the Update mod (through Steam) and MMod (moddb.com). Update gives a general polish to everything, fixing bugs and improving some visuals, it even includes the better water and whatnot from the episodes. MMod gives a revamped experience of the gunplay, with updated weapon models, sounds, and mechanic; all of the changes are optiona

Moments in games where everything coincidentally is just amazing
Empire replied to StaceyPowers's topic in Gaming Forum
Yeah, I'm almost like that everyday by doing Flight SIms, HAve you all seen videos and whatnot from it? I do this in my 1440P 144 screen everyday. -
It almost like a clone of Mobile Legends! But its much better because ML often crash on my phone. 😛

NVME 2.0 Is Here And It Comes With Some Very Substantial Upgrades
Empire replied to killamch89's topic in PC
I kind of feel like manufacturers should experiment with zoned namespaces to see if they're able to get that at least onto some of their current SSDs via a firmware update. Not sure if it'll work or if it's even an option. But regardless, NVMe 2.0 sounds like an absolute dream. Also cost double then before 😞 -
If you are into it then YEAHHHHHHH, why not 🙂 You will have many other people that who do the same and can talk about it. Me, not into it and so not for me thanks.

I just went down the rabbit hole and read all about this, it's absolutely vile, disgusting and in my humble opinion Blizzard should be liquidated. This isn't "cancel culture" either, this is is serious and I cannot believe some of the things I read, they don't deserve to be in business anymore, period.

Would you rather solve world hunger or global warming?
Empire replied to killamch89's topic in General Chat
Theoretically, world poverty should solve world hunger, but poverty is a subjective concept that can be defined by countries' poverty lines, while we all can generally agree on what is considered world hunger, so I would say solving world hunger would be more beneficial. -
If I'm being serious, AI and nano-tech for medicine, I can see it being used to help boost the natural immune system, destroying viruses and bacteria that cause illness, and helping repair and maintain different systems and things like the circulatory system safely and cheaply without drugs. Other than that I'd work on self cooking non messy bacon.

Other option and savest, till you loos that 😛 HAve all passwords and information writing down in a book with pen and paper 😜 and then forget where you left the god damn book at.

Do you miss items even when you search rooms thoroughly?
Empire replied to StaceyPowers's topic in Gaming Forum
Playing the Raft you do have to look at every detail in the room or wherever you are to look for clues and pick up items. If you miss or bypass the items then at a near endpoint you then have to redo it again to look for that one single or two single items that you miss and can take hours in the game to find it. Has happened when I was looking for blue print and after 50mins of looking a find it. -
Mount and Blade: Warband. Take RPG mechanics and apply them to a medieval world where you command an army while also fighting your enemies on the ground. Here's a brief list of some things you can do in (unmodded) Warband: Take over the world Become a vassel to one of the rulers Support a claimant - For each faction there is an individual which believes he should wear the crown Be a bandit. Aid the various lords Marry a Noblewoman (or man) Add mods, and the game becomes even better. Freelancer mod, this allows you to enlist in a lord's army Prophecies of Pendor, a low fantasy themed mod in which you need to save the world! Diplomacy, a mod that improves the somewhat weak diplomatic options available There is no game like it, and Mount and Blade 2 is on its way, can't wait!

Even no internet. And so I always find away to make myself busy and not bored for almost good six years. while at school it taken my time yp, leave at 7.30am for school and get back home by 4.30pm. WHere I was living at the time the bus takes 40mins there and back.

Would you rather labor under a hot sun or extreme cold?
Empire replied to killamch89's topic in General Chat
Cold and damp, for I am from the North of England. Without the cold, a man cannot appreciate the fire in his hearth. Without the rain, a man cannot appreciate the roof over his head. Let the south have it's sun, flowers and affectations. We Northerners have home. Plus I hate the warm weather, makes me feel sick -
Are you sometimes unaware of when you have saved?
Empire replied to StaceyPowers's topic in Gaming Forum
This happened to me a few times. Whenever the batteries would die in my controller while playing any game or just playing so hard that saving doesn't even come to me. And usually it would be after a had been playing for a few hours and sis a lit of stuff. On that note, so used to playing games that ahve auto save on them LOL
