Would you rather humans go to the moon again or go to mars?
Empire replied to killamch89's topic in General Chat
People been to the moon and back 100s of times now, it's old and it's just pointless, Can't live on the moon like you can with mars π I rather try the next step in life and go to mars π -
Autumn is my favorite season of the year. To be completely honest, I fall for the charms of all four seasons. Spring, with its flirtatious colors and the first hint of longer days. Summer, seductive with its broad display of produce and extra vacation time, and winter, with its cozy clothes and generous sprinkling of holiday cheer. What Iβm saying is itβs possible Iβve said in some other answer that another season is my favorite. If so, chalk it up to my fickle nature and disregard it. Itβs all about autumn.

Hmmmm 1. Dota 2 (yee old life-devouring pal) 2. Gothic ( 2>1>3) 3. Witcher (3+dlc>1>2) 4. Life is strange 5. Cannot decide between: Fallout4, Darkest Dungeon, Splinter Cell Outside Gothic 1 and Gothic 2 there is really no cRPG that would really interest me. I liked Witcher 1 and Risen 1, but I don't feel like replaying these games.

10 years ago, Sony was the one wanting this during the 360/PS3 era due to low population numbers on some games. But MS had to turn them away due to legal issues and contracts for some of those games inc COD iirc that had Xbox deals for early content. But at least MS was open about why. Think of the kids is, not an open reason as to why.

What constitutes a good innovation vs. a gimmick?
Empire replied to StaceyPowers's topic in Gaming Forum
Often gimmicks are innovative ideas which aren't brought to their full potential. Many consider L.A. Noire's main interrogation mechanic gimmicky and disappointing. I can see their concerns, it isn't as intuitive as it needs to be which causes frustration. The 'three-pronged' approach (one of which has ridiculously random responses) is an example of this innovative idea hitting a bit of a road block. If Rockstar build on what Team Bondi created I think we could get something truly innovative. At the moment, yep, it's a bit gimmicky. But they get all the points for trying to move things forward. -
What mistakes do you make over and over when playing games?
Empire replied to StaceyPowers's topic in Gaming Forum
Picking a flight that's too long or two short π Or you rush onto things so fast that you choose or do something wrong. -
Funny how it's always your family and friends right, I mean it's always family members do it and then other have to clean your poop up. Younger as a kid yes they allow to not to do it. However if it happens to me then I clean it up myself.
-
If you do not OC right then, well pooped. However it's hard as some games do not like OC GPU. Well, OBS is always open when my gaming rig is on. Other then being off I'm on another PC π YEAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH BABY

What game have you been playing forever without finishing?
Empire replied to StaceyPowers's topic in Gaming Forum
Wolfenstein the new order. bought the game, half the data on discs and so I had to get another guy to download the rest since I have crap inernet at the time. Two storys 13 hours each. I have not even got the first story done, 12 hours in so far. Last played it back in 2014. Never played it since then. -
Do you prefer gameplay videos with or without commentary?
Empire replied to StaceyPowers's topic in Gaming Forum
Commentary. If I didn't want commentary, I'd just mute the video or play the game myself. If I watch, I watch to the personality that's playing the game, not just the game. I would say that commentary over dialogue sections in The Witcher or the Mass Effect games would take away, definitely. But Mass Effect? If you could say something super witty between conversational choices? That's where watching Let's Plays actually offers more enjoyment and entertainment besides just watching the game for me. My two cents, other's don't have to agree, that's just how I see it! π -
How do you rally when youβre about to die in a tough fight?

How do you keep your console cool in super hot weather?
Empire replied to StaceyPowers's topic in Gaming Forum
Cool location in your house, Mostly people so not worry about it as the system should able to keep itself cooler anyway. Like PCs the fans spins faster and whatnot as it gets hotter. When it's a hot day, My PC is off as it's in a hot room and as I turn the PC on I tend to fail in the warm first before the PC. -
WIndows 10 π otherwise nothing or linux MSI Afterburner, stock since when I did OC it pooped in same games and did not like it Iclue software, For RGB on everything that I have and sldo control the fans speeds and look at temps Chrome or edge, why not π always hets used more then anything. VLC for media player OBS for streaming/recording. Steam and Epic VMWare for Linux. TightVNC for Remote desktop. MalwareBytes, Solid anti-virus/malware program. If you have another you prefer, obviously just go with that. More than not, just have something in case you need to do a sweep. I'd recommend 7zip over winrar, it's free, open source, doesn't bother you to buy anything ever and most importantly, works on all the same file formats.

My WIndows even lag on 32GB nowadays when you doing more then just double the work and gaming.

Horizon Forbidden West - State of Play Gameplay Reveal June 27nth 2021
Empire replied to Shagger's topic in Gaming News
I really like that they've come up with an underwater mechanic with no oxygen bar, though I suspect acquiring the breathing mask will be an early quest. Likewise the upgraded climbing mechanic where the pulse shows you handholds rather than everything being covered in bits of rope. Is anyone going to talk about how the graphics are so detailed that you can see her peach fuzz?! -
Cool. I'm down. The first one is pretty frustrating but small teams like this deserve support from the Survival Horror community. They clearly are passionate and put in the work.

In what ways do you wish life were more like video games?
Empire replied to StaceyPowers's topic in Gaming Forum
I think it would be really cool if it were like an MMO with perma-death. Throughout life you gain experience, so to speak, by achieving things, helping others, etc. When you die, you are allowed to make a new character. Depending on what "level" you are (which is dependent on how much experience you have, and how many cycles you have gone through) you can choose different attributes for your next character. Intellect, looks, personability, starting region, family stability, etc. High levels mean you get more points to put into different attributes. -
I feel that it another business man is trying to take their money in another form charge extra or tariff taxes in business sense. Which cross the bottom line. Simple example is the internet some ISP have hidden charges or over prices cost. Their goal is max profit and hate charges while other profit more rich.
