  1. I wouldn't say I hate it, but I've played Microscope three times and didn't find it fun. I love the concept, the fiction we created was great and creative, but the actual gameplay experience was just ... lacking. I think not having any recurring characters from scene to scene and so not caring about any of the characters is what kills it for me - the stuff that happens in the game is cool, but there's no reason to care about any of it.
  2. I thought of this whilst playing Mirror's Edge, which has one of the worst designed control-systems I've seen in a game. I don't want jump to be mapped to my xbox360's useless non-responsive shoulder bumper button. I want to be mapped to A. But oh no, it won't let you alter the controls. Why?! The Orange Box is one of the only console games that allows you to remap as you see fit. Most others give you a few choices to choose from (standard, left handed etc) and that's it. Not good enough, says I!
  3. None, I end up playing games that I always do 😜 all year round 😛 My people are not into gaming and they are not even into tech
  4. I usually get caught up in the Rockstar game hype and buy them at full price, knowing full well that i would prefer to play on PC and that i will stop playing after getting about 1/4 of the way through. I also pre-ordered Battlefield 3 based on how much fun I had with Bad Company 2. I uninstalled the game after 1 hour.
  5. We or I end up doing our own private servers and only have people that have the game and who we know about, but it's been 8 months since we last even had a eco server. We get bored after awhile in a game and end up not playing it again for awhile and the server gets shut down
  6. Crypto. His kit covers offense (best offensive Ult in the game?), Defense (drone as tripwire left behind, or watching one of the entrances, also sometimes defensive EMP), team support, risk free scouting, respawning teammates risk free, assists for Ranked. Also cool animations, voicelines and heirloom

    High on Life

People trashing the gameplay have only played for like an hour lol. The metroidvania aspect of it makes it more interesting as you go along. Power sliding, jet pack, rope swinging and each gun having multiple uses for combat and puzzles- it has a surprising depth to it.
  8. Graphics only matters if you are trying to sell a game. Average consumers tend to judge the appearance of games is somehow equal to the quality of the game. Good luck trying to sell a retro style looking game for full $60. But end of the day your only can do what your PC can able to run the game at. I can play games on high and other games not on high.
  9. Nope, never even played the kids game 😛 ANd not even giong to. It's died off big time anyway.
  10. Honestly? I'd say XY. It's really easy so he won't get stuck on battle mechanics, and there's still a traditional gym experience. I personally hated Let's Go, and Sun and Moon might have too much pointless talking in them for a younger kid. I know I put the game down for months bc they wouldn't shut up lol. It depends on what console he has access to, though
  11. Dunno how good it is quality wise, but DoA 3 was the last fighting game my brothers and I played together and we had a ton of fun playing two of us vs the AI, and the times we beat each other up. Gonna have to go with that one.
  12. It's incredibly wild that after going through the trouble of purchasing both Crystal Dynamics, and the Tomb Raider IP, Embracer wasn't willing to fund the next game on their own. I can't begin to understand why they bothered to buy the old Eidos assets, if they're not planning on using the most valuable pieces.
  13. This is the weirdest game to make a movie off of to me. It's pretty dense and in some cases it's the closest thing to a movie in games. I just don't see how this is the game that needs a movie, it won't work nearly as well as the game itself.
  14. Would be EPIC if the movie is actually done (and has been for a while), and they decide to release it as a surprise on Netflix, Hulu or something! Like how Scott used to release some of the games; they can say someone "hacked" their computers or something and released the movie...
  15. I like or want them to make something that is more of a video game and less of an experience. i want scares plus cool combat and exploration.. We will see
  16. Imagine being that guy, who puts in a quest and waits for someone to pick it up. Theres not alot of traffic, not since the ghouls took up residence in a nearby area, so we dont get many visitors. I did see a witcher come barreling through while his horse was on top of a house, and he was looking at my quest, but he has yet to come to me about the details of my missing pan.
  17. Hell Let Loose really makes you glad to have next gen. Just being in the wheat fields hearing footsteps all around and bullets whizzing by you is anxiety for sure. Don’t think the one could handle all that. But not slow if your PC can't able to do it... depends end of the day
  18. It honestly depends on what you are playing. Controllers with the playstation layout (8birdo pro 2) work great for retro gaming / 2d side scrollers and have programmable buttons on the back. For 3rd person games, I've always felt the Xbox controller was a better layout (personal preference). If you do go the Xbox controller route, make sure to get the newer controller that has Bluetooth support. Older controllers did not have this and required a USB adapter If you are playing FPS, stick to mouse and keyboard
  19. I'm gonna get downvoted for this but if gaming is your only hobby or one of your only hobbies and that you play multiples hours a day, almost everyday, it's an addiction. Gamers don't like to hear this. The addiction is further reinforced by playing online with people who are also addicted and the behavior is normalized. I'm willing to bet a huge proportion of online gamers are addicted to it. I could be projecting because I've been addicted to gaming most of my life but I've met and played with so many people like me and in my experience gamers are in full denial of it. It doesn't make them bad people or worthless. Gaming is not a worthless hobby in and of itself but when it's got a hold of you, you miss out on so many other great things that can bring you so much more than the dopamine rush you get by doing the same shit in front of a screen for hours on end. I've come to realize this about myself and i'm trying to change because life is passing me by. If any gamer is reading this, I get that the initial reaction is to get defensive about it.I get that it doesn't necessarily apply to you. But if you identify even a little bit to what I wrote, there's a good chance that it does apply to you.
  20. I just end up keeping parts of my PS2 when I had that back in the day to remind myself how epic it was back in the day 😉 But end of the day as a PC person it's the same as you replace old arts with the new and maybe if that old PC hardware part is still worlking you end up selling it so that you get the money to go towards other things.
  21. I remember games being $40-$50 in the 1990s. That’s >$100 today. Prices go up because of inflation they’ve always been expensive. Yet with how we live now and what the world is like at the moment, everything is going up and up. that being said PCs gaming desktops are still far far costly then to a console

    Let's Sing

Nope, I have sing while playing any game 😛 even ATS or ETS...... XD
  23. The Grand Theft Auto series. Most of my friends love those games, but I have only finished two of them and that was GTA5 and GTA4. And to be honest I pushed myself to finish GTA4. I loved GTA3 but that was a long time ago and there was just nothing like it at the time it came out. Did not really give a shit about the story back then either. But as I got older, story became more important to me in games. But what makes GTA as it is, the fact that you can mod it out so heavy and play as a cop
  24. Maybe not the best ever but for me it's my 3ds xl. I got it as a birthday present a few days after release and it's pretty beat up but I have a lot of memories from it. Also somehow the batteries are better than they were when I got it so that's interesting
  25. Can anyone explain how to play two player at home? Bf and I both have the game, CANNOT switch players. Somehow only able to have them play as guest. So annoying it makes me not even want to play, back to just dance 2022. The new songs are OK I guess
