I used to read GameStar for five years, the free games on CD were quite appealing. Quit buying those as soon as I got regular internet DSL speed. I collected the magazines, never threw one away until I moved many times in my lifetime. something little died inside me that day, not sure if its because of the magazines.

Video game moments that surprised you the most?
Empire replied to StaceyPowers's topic in Gaming Forum
One time, I was the only team member left, against almost half of the enemy. Around six of them, My team was so bad that we are just losing. Anyway the shocking part that I killed them all and won 😛 I was like Sayyyy What! people where going ctazy in the chat that made me laught. -
Anyone had Vanilla ice cream mixed with ketchup. 😛 Add that together 😛

I think that respawning enemies generally suck especially if there are a lot of them. A lot of games have respawning enemies and they can be frustrating and cruel because of it. I think if as long as the enemies are thoughtfully placed you can add a fair challenge to the game. CSGO for example, enemies will respawn in a odd location near there allies but at times their placement is so thought out that they just feel like natural obstacles, they feel like a key part of the level. It definitely made me rethink respawning enemies because I always thought it wasn’t something you could do properly. Yet again, You! when I respawn, I get to die right away in my respawn point in games that you die and reload again.

What do you think about console makers raising the price of new games?
Empire replied to m76's topic in Gaming Forum
Depends on the game and how demending you are in wanted the game 🙂 I mean I was so hyped up about Microsoft Flight sim that I brought it for £80 🙂 And even brought another £50 worth of gear to go with the flight. But end of the day if the money is lacking than again when I see the game I try and ge tthe best and cheapest deal, by waiting for sales or getting the game from other thired party game stores, like HRK and or key stores. £30 game can be get at £20, £10 off 🙂 -
What's the Best Modern Urban City Scenery In Game
Empire replied to Reality vs Adventure's topic in Gaming Forum
Probably one of few things Assassin's Creed games actually do well, is creating live, pretty towns/cities, that are just nice to look at. Not very interactive, but pretty and atmospheric. Also Watch dogs 2. Every NPC has their own little story you can get when you hack them. A lot of random stuff is happening around you, even without you interacting with anything. All the little details makes it feel alive. -
I would say GTA seriers and RDR 🙂 I mean Rockstar always had that option from the start and they made it good to able to play with no problems, In fact, it's far better than the first person in GTA. Yes, the first person you can able to walk backwards.

Stupid mistakes you’ve made in games that cost you big?
Empire replied to StaceyPowers's topic in Gaming Forum
I was playing Dead of Winter and had successfully shepherded the colony through the apocalypse, and we were about to finally make it out of the dark. The traitor was neutered, morale was high, all is well. I give myself an extra survivor just to make my party feel that much more complete. Comes around to the end of the game, I flip my objective card and realise I totally forgot that my secret objective required me to attach a weapon to each of my survivors. I was the only loyal player that lost, and boy did that one sting. -
How do you feel about enemies sneaking up on you from behind?
Empire replied to StaceyPowers's topic in Gaming Forum
I do it all the time, I try and knife them to death 😛 Well in CSGO it's fast movments and you have to act fast and at times I see them walk pass me then I knife them in the back. It's funny watching the replay of them dying. -
And that's that then, what's your go to game 🙂

What book universe would make a great game series?
Empire replied to StaceyPowers's topic in Video Games
I always thought the Mistborn series would make a good videogame. The combat is already so gamey. I would like for the team that made the Legacy of Kain series to do it. Or maybe Rocksteady. -
It’s like scanning Netflix’s library for 30 minutes than picking nothing. With an increase in choice, it gets harder to pick something. There’s a name for this somewhere. I have this same issue. Too many games, have over 200 games in my library and so what I am doing now is planning for the future. Right now Sales are on and that RDR2 drops. I have planned to play that game everyday, and is it true? nope. Before then I have avoided playing any games in a similar genre. And I am trying to knock out personal projects so I don’t feel so guilty. End of the day we all stick to out most played games 🙂 We all have out number one most spent hours games don't we?

Nope, never. I wish that I did. I mean it be amazing. Never to late to start.

Does anyone still play arcade games in an actual arcade?
Empire replied to Zak's topic in Gaming Forum
Other than people wanted to try and build there own custom arcade system in there home where they eat and drink and poop and sleep. As my years of childhood, I rarely went, in fact, it's something that you do not have back in Australia, not like the United Kingdom. As I said in another topic, Yes and no, they are still around and yet they are only open once a season. -
Nintendo Forced Cancellation of Near-Finished Goldeneye 007 Remake
Empire replied to Kane99's topic in Gaming News
Surely a contract was agreed between both parties before development began? If not, and Microsoft spent its own funds remaking GoldenEye then it's a highly disappointing outcome but you can't build a game on a promise. -
Yes. I play a lot of games with no goal in mind. Amnesia is more about the atmosphere and getting immersed, and Minecraft was didn't really have a goal other than to build things. If a game could successfully create as much immersion as both of those, then I would play it even though I heavily value story in games. Several people have brought up Oblivion, which has a clear goal but does not force you to follow it. The success of Minecraft is likely to be a good indicator of the viability of such games as the entire premise is to give you a wide open world in which to do whatever you like.

Racing games require you to have a good fast speed wheel that's not a G29 or G27, you know? I personally have G29 myself and it's a good wheel that you can use for all games but it doesn't have the racing feel. It's like for normal speeds classic driving style.

Is there drug testing to join an esports league?
Empire replied to Kane99's topic in Esports & Competitive Gaming
I do not even know, I mean that if you feel like you play better, do you actually win more games tho? I mean do I get a drag test for streaming on twitch live to five people 😛 It usually goes like this, there are no rules against it, some players start taking performance enhancing drugs, more players start taking it, there is made rules about it, someone ignores the rules and does it anyways, drug tests becomes a thing. -
Damn, glad that I do not have the game Either way, I imagine people who want to use mods with 2077 should be a lot more careful. I can foresee hackers making code changes to include other malicious content.

I've been asking for this for a long time, and I was expecting Epic will make something like this, this is revolutionary for indie devs, now all I hope is they make a separate market for it just like Daz so creators can make all kind of clothes and sell it on that market so we could buy it. and a ready character made too just like Daz.

There are endless police games already. Flashing lights is kown as a very good game. Then there is "Police Simulator: Patrol Duty" that the reviwers are mixed. 1013 is stil on going, I mean I remeber when they first went public back in 2012 and the dev at the time did not like me 😛 and till this day it's still being worked on and still not out and end of the day people just gave up and said flip them. They are good, they made FIreFighter sim 🙂 and Construction Simulator 2015, even that it's not supported and crashes in multiplayer . Game is added to my wishlist and I'll follow the game to se what the endless reuilts are.

I only play the beast of the best 😛 But I do not spend hours each time in the games. I listed my games that I do that is based around World War. -World Of Tanks -World of warships -Hell Let Loose -BF1

Probably not as Rainbow is still getting new updates and new operators every season. Also the game is still one of the most played games till this day since the time it got released. They have stated they want anywhere from 50 attack and defense to 100 attack and defense. They have also stated they want to have it last 10 years if I remember correctly.
