People out here saying CD Projekt Red doesn't deserve this over Cyberpunk but like... nobody is saying they deserve it because of Cyberpunk. People say they deserve it because of the way they treat their workers and manage their company. I don't agree but I can follow the logic.

What factors make you skip a quest or leave it incomplete?
Empire replied to StaceyPowers's topic in Gaming Forum
If it was a side missions then you do not even have to start it, in fact you can skip most of the side missions and just do the main story π -
The original Doom. I appreciate its importance in video game history, but I find it unplayable and have never summoned the will to get past the first level. OK, it's from 1993, but it's just too primitive for me. I do like the theme music, concept and art style though. I feel as though it took a few years for actually enjoyable 3D games such as Resident Evil (1996) and Half-Life (1998) to come out.

Valve and five PC games publishers fined $9.4M for illegal geo-blocking

EU, I hate that name. EU likes to get there hands on everthing and get as much trouble done. Who is to blame here. One option that glad that the UK left the EU. -
It is, I think they looking at how cheaper it is LOL and how many more people can able to join π

You have the PC od cyberpunk? and what's your thoughts pn that game, I mean you did not get your money back π

I donβt know about this year but I would be shocked if it didnβt come in 2022. The only thing that could possibly cause any conflict is using the actors likeness but I honestly donβt think it would be an issue.

I absolutely adored Alan Wake (past tense because it has been a while since I've last played). The gameplay was fine to me because it wasn't so much the shooting itself that I looked into for variety, than the situation I was put in. Sure, the shooting and dark/light/shoot mechanic doesn't change much, but the scenarios and context are what changes up. And the taken being able to show up in seemingly any object adds to that terror of the unknown and unexpected. I cared less about the gunplay because I valued the game more as a horror/thriller experience, than anything. The amount of times I felt sheer anxiety about escaping my situation, or rushing to my objective because I was that invested in it, made the game so memorable. The shooting mechanics were just a vehicle for that experience.

Indian Gambling Companies Want to be Categorised as Esports and Gaming
Empire replied to Tool920's topic in Gaming News
Why, I mean I wouldn't even gambe on gaming games like that. Not a good idea. Idian style crap. Wish they they do not go head wit this. Unless it's in the talks and soon eought they will be put down. -
Virtual events are now common, Soon enough they might do it more often as it's cheaper and also anyone can join from different locations. Then again not the same as going there in person. Anyway what are we going to see this year π anything good. Even flight sim event is virtual this time around.

I don't really thought that that really, I mean would I buy t-shirts and whatnot? Nope. Save the money to buy games and hardware to run it. After a while you not going to keep the merch. Not going to get anything back from it. That's my thoughts anyway π

To many, I just can't say the number one of all time since the answer for each post is going to be differnt. If I was to pick then anything that deals with flight sims π

What do you think about Mafia: The City of Lost Heaven?
Empire replied to Tool920's topic in Gaming Forum
It's pretty bad I think, much worse than Mafia 1 or even 2. It's been good number of years since I played them. Mafia 3 worst aspect is too repetitive gameplay. Your only motivation to continue is to get to next cinematic, and at that point you could as well watch a movie or "mafia 3 movie" on youtube to get all that story without suffering repetitive gameplay. -
Yes, I do not do it myself but rather have a online based servies that links to the RSS feed that sends out tweets to all social media sites. You can say it's cheating but saves me time rather then being on trying to get the word around. Does hastags π

Do you wait until after early access to get a game?
Empire replied to Kane99's topic in Gaming Forum
I have over five games on steam that are still in early access π Just that games and most devsjust tends to be in early access for months to years. Does it make them cheaper? well if a game is been early access for five years at Β£25 then no. Eco, Great games, out two years and it's still early access. Point saying that they become early access for YEARS. way to long. Golf With Your Friends is a great game that was released back six years ago has been in early access for the same amount of time and price is the same. -
Outlast is great, and cheap. Cheapest high production and has a real unique feel. Resident Evil remake fine, also cheap, not the scariest, but it is the closest to a true "survival" experience, it's a true classic if you never played it. Alien Isolation is probably one of the most tense and nerve racking of all. Really great game, but a lot of stress. Dying Light also a great game to get, it isn't all that scary, except for at night. But it is thrilling, tons of tomfoolery to get into, tons to do and scavenge for. There's Last of Us, supreme game if you haven't played it. Its a must play, but not the scariest on the list. Last is The Evil Within, I liked this one, it really had that fucked up feeling you'd get when playing Silent Hill, but a huge difficulty and a few other things keep it from being as amazing as it could have been. I'm a huge horror fan, haven't missed any titles for the PC so far.

I thought there was a topic on this already? then again I can't remember π Been on so many threads. Anyway most hours that I spent on a game is mixed on GTA series like GTA5 then Flight sims. With all the flight sims together, it's around 3400 hours. GTA is far less then that, around 2000 hours just under.

Do you still have any retro game stores in your area?
Empire replied to Kane99's topic in Gaming Forum
Closest one near me is at Stockton-on-Tees and that's like 30 to 40mins drive away. And if Covid19 have not hit them hard they might be still open. Then again they might have been Ripppped. -
If you are the age of 1 to 13 years old then talking to strangers is a bad idea and you break your own mums of all rules π hear that al the time π But if you work in retail and you have to serve people then talking to strangers is on going everyday, not a big deal. Meet now people that way. MAybe get a girl to have fun with in bed π

My connection isn't super fast, however, at least I'm on fibre π even that it does make a little difference. I'm maxed out on what I got available in the street, but able to stream and download and play games and stream on twitch at1080P with no errors and downtime. My ISP is good, they are god uptime and never had any big drama

It's available right now for that that want to go ahead and do it. Nvidia point of viewer itis though there platform. But is it a long road future? We as a person have no idea what the future will be like, No idea what technology will give us. Do I like the idea yes, Do I want to do it, No π I do not even have the Internet that's super fast, I have good connection but not 500 upload and 500 download. As I said that we don't know what the internet of the future will look like, but I guess at some point it will be good enough to stream games. Problem is, you be even less of an owner of your games than you are now. I think the tech is cool, and I utilise it in my house already with an always on desktop streaming to a rPi with steamlink under our TV. As long as you have a wired network at home the experience is great.

You brought it or you brought the parts and build your PC togather and what made you get that PC? was it new or secondhand. Not bad specs, but I would go with newer hardware like the 3000 series, then again cost factor so 1600 series.

Mount & Blade Warband. Basically, you start alone in a small village. If you want to create your own army (not a modern army though, think of an army full of horseman, bowman and such) you go to villages and recruit. Then you can go to war and conquer castles. As you expand your army you win fame and so on. I think it is the most underrated video game. You can even play the game only for the war scenes. You feel like you're just in the middle of a real war. So exciting and enjoyful.
