New Burnout game from Criterion? Maybe, but probably not for a while.
Empire replied to Kane99's topic in Gaming News
Sounds like the possibility of a new game is ever so slightly there, still, but it's such a small chance it might as well not exist. Yet, assuming it does eventually happen, I already see the sequel would be controversial, as there's people who want more open world and others who want compartmentalised tracks. I'd honestly prefer the track-based format. Open world Burnout felt... Generic, for me, as if much of the essence was sacrificed in favour of the sandbox setting. -
This better not be limited to only 4 players in a party. Four troopers in an open field against a swarm of bugs is basically certain death. If they want to really capture the vibes from the films, this should be a large group PvE coops experience. I'd love to play with all of my friends in one session.

Should all sports games jump to a live service model?
Empire replied to Kane99's topic in Gaming Forum
Path of exile, warframe, wow and most other mmorpgs at least in their prime theres plenty of good "live service" examples, they just never called it that. Its what these big publishers are trying to replicate but failing. -
Considering that both of the people that came to the same conclusion about the first videogame are an university professor close to Strachey and the co-founder of Lucas Film computer division, you ought to be proud of your research Stuart. I awfully regret not watching this video the day it came out, absolute masterpiece. very educational. very insightful. historic, even for the development of man kind. Tennis for Two is so elegant, it almost deserves the first in my view. It has movement, very natural and yet unique motion. Gr8 piece.

Phone recommendations for playing GTA San Andreas Mobile version?
Empire replied to joblessdude's topic in Mobile
True but what I'm saying that you do not need to spend $1500 or even $800 on a phone that a $300 phone can do the same amount 😉 -
what was it like at the time if you do a very little. ALso your ISP should support it nowdays I mean we all use 200gbs a day 😛

Games has came a very long way and it's getting better as technology grows around us. I mean we all love and to play games and have our go to games that we stick out for hours and years. We learn the good and the bad and learn from the passed and furture. Same are very bed experience and good. I always into GTA roleplaying and being a cop, but that was years back 😉 now for me I fly in flight simulators and I fly as realism and real as I can to the point that I fly study levels addons and aircrafts, that's just another level

Have you ever been on a date quest in a game?
Empire replied to Reality vs Adventure's topic in Gaming Forum
I have never own or been on the quest, however I seen people made love and been on a date in games like VR chat, I do not even see the point of that but it's no game. -
Kingdom Hearts, for as dumb as it is, has so many emotional moments and pointlessto say that are only amplified by a fantastic score. The best example of this is at the beginning of Kingdom Hearts 2. You play as Roxas, a kid not unlike you or me. Roxas just wants to hang out with his friends and eat ice cream, maybe go to the beach, as they live out the last days of their summer vacation but he's slowly losing control of his life by forces he doesn't understand. Roxas's portion of the game ends as he stands before Sora's sleeping body and reluctantly accepts his fate as a Nobody, saying "I guess my summer vacation is over." His theme song kicks up as the title flashes across the screen, signifying that Roxas's story has ended so that Sora's can begin. It gives me all the good feels every time. Another one that never fails is the opening to Ocarina of Time. The sound of the piano with Epona galloping never fails to take me back to when I first played it. I had never seen a 3d game before that and it absolutely blew me away. It's the reason I bought. It's the reason I'm a gamer. I owe a lot to that game and I love it to this day.

Do you have the habit of moving your arms/body with the game?
Empire replied to Kane99's topic in Gaming Forum
Depends on the game and whatnot, but end of the day nope. YET - funny enought when flying in MSFS I move my head up or left or right to see and yet I do not see it 😛 I move my head and not my mouse 😛 Only time I might move allot is jumping while in game at somthing that poops me. -
Silent Hill 1. The strange texture warping, the low render distance covered by fog, and the muddy textures really make it all the more creepy. In fact, it's not just the graphics, but the shit controls and poor voice acting also only serve to make the game scarier. Ironically, everything that normally makes a game age poorly, are exactly what makes that game timeless.

Dying Light has some horrible boss fights, for example the final boss is just like 4 QTEs, which if failed will still continue the cutscene like nothing happened for like 3 seconds with little blood smear filter on until it kicks you to you died, menu. For such an otherwise good game it's almost offensive how bad it is. Just think having NO boss in that case if games like that or any games had no bosses

I would like to see the RTS Warcraft make a return. The story from WoW, however, has gone so far without it that Blizzard would probably just have to reboot the franchise from Arthas ascending the Frozen Throne.

What is the difference between a “puzzle” and an “obstacle course”?
Empire replied to StaceyPowers's topic in Gaming Forum
Videogames have these kind of obstacles because they are somewhat static, if there are no obstacles all that fancy gameplay they have programmed will never come up. But at a table both you and the players can always improvise, the story can evolve on the go, there is nothing preprogrammed. By adding these videogamey obstacles you are actually taking away from the experience, rather than adding to it. -
Cloud gaming, just that all the data of that game is in the cloud that you play on rather then on your PC. Like nvidia game broadcast for PC people. You play it on any PC that you own, doesn't ahve to be powerfull and you stream the game while using a RTX 3080 from another country

Finding solutions before you find what they’re for
Empire replied to StaceyPowers's topic in Gaming Forum
There is no main gameplay, it's open world and you explore and live and build your bade and protect it, then you go out looking for frood and water to able to eat and live. -
As good as the game is, Xenoblade 2 has some of the worst character designs I've ever laid my eyes on. Not only is the design inconsistent as fuck because of the multitude of hired character designers, also most of them are just straight up bad and tasteless, this includes a lot of the work of main character designer Masatsugu Saito.

Is there an “ideal” number of hours for an open world game?
Empire replied to StaceyPowers's topic in Gaming Forum
As many hours as you can do untill you get so bored or nothing else to do. Open world games are might to last forever and it goes forever. Even when I get bored, it's still open to go back into the game and continue 🙂 -
Feds might investigate Microsoft takeover of Activision
Empire replied to Kane99's topic in Gaming News
This probably feels like a bombshell to anyone outside of the M&A space. This acquisition which is fairly unprecedented in size and scope was never a sure fire guarantee, and the high level of scrutiny and criticism it has attracted from regulatory and government bodies should really be unsurprising. -
Who still users classic steam groups anyway. I mean back in the day just about everyone used them and I myself made two, just became dead after awhile and with not much content going into them people forgot after awhile.

It’s exactly what I expended it to be, the exact same look just sharpened with better models, textures, lighting, and optimisations to the performance as well as gameplay aspects. Especially the water, looks much improved. But seeing the detail in every small model sharpened like the chess board pieces etc. gives me a feeling that even veterans like me with 1000s of hours invested will once again stop at every corner to admire this once in many lifetimes achievement in digital media, cannot wait to get my ps5 soon and sink back into this magical world.

Start small. If you have to, work for free to build a curriculum in esports. Sooner or later you'll be in the big leagues. Try and get to meet new people and see them gaming with you. I mean u may work in that location as not even a gamer but as a cool coffee maker 😛

Empire replied to StaceyPowers's topic in Esports & Competitive Gaming
