Panasonic Toughbook G2 review - Most durable laptop around
Empire replied to killamch89's topic in PC
These were the go-to deployment laptop back when I was in the military. Loved working on and with them, despite being a tad bit slow. Thank god solid state storage is common now because I vividly remember paying premiums on HDD's for these things back in the day. -
I saw a video of a guy breaking down the time required to achieve end game to a similar point in D3 and how much pay to win is in the game and how Much they are trying to exploit people into MTX. I instantly deleted it. I only played it for a night and got to level 29. That was enough for me.

Well, in that case play whatever you want that you do like 😛 Even try valheim, but not me your cup of tea, but you ahve to build and try and keep alive and whatnot, it's only 2gb game size and yet it's very good to get your hands into

Dammit Dave is someone who meet with the group in DOJ or they came acorss him while RPing one time. Dammit Dave been with them since then, I mean he doesn't upload as much YouTube content like the others do, Yet he's growing fast 😉 Then again he doesn't put much into his videos. You have to think that Dammit Dave does run those FIveM/FivePD servers

Reasons why games are unfinished unless you get a DLC?
Empire replied to StaceyPowers's topic in Gaming Forum
All about making money isn't it, make or made the base game and then make money by having DLCs and yet the base game depends on how old the game is can be cheap. The only way I'm ever ok with this is if it's clearly advertised as being in early access, like many games on Steam. I mean I'll even occasionally see AAA games that run/play WAY worse than even games that just dropped into early access recently. -
What open world games have the best voice acting?
Empire replied to StaceyPowers's topic in Gaming Forum
Dragon Quest VIII: Journey of the Cursed King. JRPG on the PS2, which has since been ported to Android, iOS, and 3DS. The protagonist you play as isn't voiced, but everyone else is, at least in every cutscene I can remember. -
I'm not really into sports games, although I loved playing the old ones with my friends growing up RBI baseball, He had the NES, but I was a PC gamer with F1 series games. I have played F1 2016 and 2021. But they aren't new or old. But never lpayed anyhting older if I'm aware

I don’t allow metagaming but I am also a roleplay heavy GM/player. I would explain it as Tabletop games typically have a role playing aspect and trying to probe a monster’s weaknesses adds to the the fun of combat and even the threat of combat. For question 3. It depends how u wanna approach it You can say okay you wanna look up the stats, then “swap” the stats and abilities with a similar creature or even just swap the vulnerabilities to different ones. You can also approach it as a discussion for the whole table and let the player know that doing that can ruin the game for the whole party because the game isn’t played alone, so the other player’s opinions and feelings matter as well.

I hope this release is better than the clown show SkaterXL was. But we will see right 🙂

FH4 was the first horizon game I played, and I was really hyped for FH5. Once I booted it, I got immediately upset by the lack of innovation over the last 3 years. Same awful cutscenes, worse music, beautiful but lifeless world, no story, no progression, not mentioning all the technical issues. It just feels soulless (to me), it just lacks character. It's fun to play, but 7/10 at most.

Not sure if that's entirely true. Every economist knows every action has a trade off. The time spent optimizing for Series S that could have been spent beautifying the X version if there was no S. So it probably is true that the S was built with scaling down in mind and it shouldn't be hard to achieve. But at the same time, the game won't look/run as good as it would if only Series X existed.

BREAKING NEWS: Bandai Namco unannounced games for 2023
Empire replied to kingpotato's topic in Gaming News
Well, only had Little Nightmares and so maybe that be arlight 🙂 You really can't go off the visuals with Fire Emblem. Three Houses is an ugly game but people loved the story and the gameplay. -
NFTs got a bad rep since it was a bubble that made it popular and morons bought ape images and made them "worth" millions. But now you start seeing companies like Ubisoft saying that they're decommissioning an entire lineup of games so even if you dropped $60 2-3 years ago you can't play it anymore after September.

Red Dead Redemption 2 fans are planning a funeral for Red Dead Online
Empire replied to Kane99's topic in Gaming News
Even if they make new game, it just won't be the same. The Houser bros have left and so have Leslie Benzies and Lazlow. Basically the core team behind the GTAs are gone. I still have hopes for GTA VI, but I wouldn't be surprised if it ends up being a very generic action game. -
Man, as long as nothing gets delayed we're really about to have a dope AF stretch of games from Sept into next summer. TLOU, GoW, Callisto, Dead Space Remake, RE4 Remake, Crisis Core Remake, FF16. I'm sure there's others I'm forgetting. Gonna be great.

I hope that was some translation error, since I played this for the first time on the PC running it at 4k/60 and the cartoony art style they took made the game age very well graphically. The only thing that really made it feel aged was the camera controls, since you can't independently control the camera when moving the character.

He had stopped doing character designs for the anime(s) after VRAINS, and its never felt the same since. The first 3 Yugioh series have some of the most unique and memorable character designs for me. Let alone memories as a kid, waking up early just to catch an episode of Duel Monsters, GX, and 5Ds throughout my school years. RIP

I'd agree with Mass Effect 1. Some people say 2 was a step down from 1 in its combat, but I totally disagree. 2 is uninspired but functional at worst. 1 just feels clunky and sloppy, and I love ME1. I hate Kotor's style of combat. I don't know if it's fair to call it bad but I much prefer something fully turn based or a proper action game. I enjoyed talking to the ship mates and the twist is pretty great although I didn't get to experience it first hand

Videogame Franchises that outstayed their welcome?
Empire replied to Yaramaki's topic in Gaming Forum
DmC was like that for me. I could've gone with maybe around 5~ more missions, but the amount I played was very enjoyable, the combat was awesome and the story was decent. I enjoyed the boss fights and even the normal combat, and was genuinely happy with the purchase and length, if not left very slightly wanting for more. On the opposite end of the spectrum there are quite a few games that I really enjoy playing a relentless amount, like Dark Souls or Monster Hunter(hundreds of hours invested across them and could still play them even after "finishing" them). -
Top 10 Hated Video Game Companies Fans Used To Love
Empire replied to The Blackangel's topic in Gaming Forum
Game companies need to understand: the days when they can stay secretive are over. Mistreatment of employees and crunching game makers (only to lay them off after a game's release so the upper echelon can keep all the profits) won't fly with players anymore. We know and see all of it now. -
Yes, in fact not to long ago 🙂 I'm a flight simulator, that means I do flying and more flying and put in hours in the flight sims. So much hours that at times I do over 100 hours a week. ALso I stream it all on Twitch and make content for it 🙂 Why fly when you can share and fly, right..? Anyway, bad week, putting in six to eight hours of streams in a day, making myself doing 24 hours of streaming in less then three days of two streams, with people or viewers being pooped at me at the same time, it can BURN YOU OUT. I'm overkilling myself at times doing overkill times

Lets get this out the back first, it's not a game it's a simulator 😛 I have like 1600 hours in MSFS202 and another 1800 hours in FSX and that's not even talking about other sims that I put my hands into. 😛 Yes the best so far is MSFS2020 - If it works LOL others you have to buy software
