They are thinking about it the wrong way then, where is the enjoyment of gaming gone?

I rather read subtitles that listen to dubbed movies. I can't stand the voices overacting and overly neutral accents. Subtitled all the way

What a crap film video that I have seen, it's done with a simple $500 camrea phone. so so cheap made. no idea who the school play actors are.

really enjoyed "Big Miracle." Of course, Drew Barrymore is fun to watch, and the story is heartwarming. For me, the big attraction is that it's based on a true story, which I read the history of. Of course, in the movie, there are personal-interest subplots that are fiction. But the main events in the movie regarding freeing the whales are historically accurate.

I used many, but my very very own console has to be PS2 that I own. PS2 was the first console I bought myself. I think I was around 6 years old I think. I did play on NES and whatnot back then while they are still around, then again I did not own the device.

I think this generation of gaming will be much better than the last
Empire replied to NightmareFarm's topic in Gaming Forum
When I was getting into gaming and had an Amstrad CPC you could buy LOTS of games on tape for £2-3 each, so you weren't particularly limited for affordable options, and through the 90's demo discs on magazines and shareware titles were really widely available, so a massive part of my youth was either playing cheap CPC games (Zub, Dizzy and the like) or shareware or demos off gaming mags, often from a shared pool of discs between friends. We didn't have much cash so full-price games were fairly rare acquisitions, but there were still loads of options and, although you had to be cautious about viruses, freeware/shareware didn't feel anything like as predatory as "free" games do now. -
Depends what you into, I say DayZ - intowalking around and picking up loot. Then you see loot that are not based in the game as they are mods 😛

Why people always think that streaming and making money. Trying to earn money or even thinking about it is a bad idea and you will end up even worse. stream everyday or 3 times a week in a game that you love doing that makes you talk and answer the chat and think about your views numbers. even if you had eight people sub to your channel a month is better then nothing

Consistent armor/weapon/combat style choices you make across games?
Empire replied to StaceyPowers's topic in Gaming Forum
Improvised weapon fighting style would be cool, especially if it popped the damage die up from a 1d4 to 1d6.nI know that takes the wind out of the sails of tavern brawler a little but they gave unarmed fighting 1d8 damage so who knows what’s reasonable with power creep. -
Well Starfield is coming out this year and assuming that TES6 is next up for Bethesda then from this year I'd say 4 years of full development for a 2026 release. Of course, if you consider Fallout 76 to be a proper Bethesda release and not just a stopping measure for more Starfield development time then that was a three year gap so it'll be 2025. GTA V proper was released in 2013 and only small things and GTAO got development time and probably by smaller and newer teams with Red Dead releasing in 2018. Assuming that there has been some restructuring under Rockstar with Houser leaving and adding a f

Starting as a tank is a bad move, really. Tanks are party animals, and don't do well by themselves, due to their lack of damage output. Not that they die, but they take longer to kill things, which gets tedious. It's better to level as a somewhat more damage-orientated character, and transition to full tankiness later. Good tip that I can say also, Don't Rush. Take your time and enjoy the journey.

Godzilla and King Kong arriving to COD Warzone and Vanguard
Empire replied to kingpotato's topic in Gaming News
No one is saying the game play sucks. The hackers, cheaters, and bugs are to much to handle. Not to mention the sweats who do nothing but play all day everyday killing the casual gaming experience. It’s no longer about having fun it’s about being the absolute best of the best. -
Gotta be so good that the video is private. Nice job.

Electronic Arts & FIFA end 30-year Partnership
Empire replied to Withywarlock's topic in Gaming News
One often overlooked consequence: FIFA was a restraining influence on EA, who've been desperate to ruin the simulation aspect by integrating NFTs, MTX etc. into the base experience. FIFA demanding $300 million for nothing more than to use the word FIFA seems completely out of touch and delusional. It doesn't matter if EA could financially manage it. Its fucking asinine. And who would pay the cost to make sure the game is financially viable? The consumer. -
The Arkham games were one of my favorites, so detailled, good voice acting, dark atmosphere. So immersive, with the best combat stealth and traversal in the genre imo. I was hyped after the first gameplay demo of this one, but now I'm gonna wait for a sale probably. It looks flashy, clunky, slow and a bit dull to be honest. Coop with friends is nice but can take away immersion easily, like in Dying Light 2 for instance, especially when you're jumping around like a fool in an open world. It also kinda takes away free exploration when traversal is so easy. If the game becomes as polished as the Arkham series it might still be worth it

Do you avoid optional combat in games? Under what conditions?
Empire replied to StaceyPowers's topic in Gaming Forum
It depends on the rewards. My goal in any RPG is to get to the end of the story. If an optional boss will get me a more powerful weapon that will help make the end game easier then yes. If it’s just for fun or exploration then usually I don’t care. FF12 is a perfect example, the hunts are okay but I usually don’t do them because leveling up alone is usually enough to get to the end. On the other hand doing Anima in FFX is worth it because Anima destroys everything. -
I played Bioshock on Hard the first time, and tried to replay it on medium. The difference is night and day. On lower difficulties, you don't need or have to think about collecting items or special ammo. You don't have to think about laying traps against big daddies, since a few clips of incendiary shotgun shells or grenades will kill them outright. The advantages from cameras are just overkill. I say that all games that are hard that you never played before is hard 😉

Games where foreshadowing was really easy to miss
Empire replied to StaceyPowers's topic in Gaming Forum
FFVII is so heavily dependent on foreshadowing you basically need to play the game twice to fully understand it. FFXII is similar, almost every scene involving political discussion is absolutely laden with foreshadowing and subtext that can only be picked up on after you've played through the story once. -
it's the same thing over again with more action.

Godzilla and King Kong arriving to COD Warzone and Vanguard
Empire replied to kingpotato's topic in Gaming News
Only thing I worry about is that it's only going to be for warzone and the only vangaurd content will be the bundles. Which I have a very special distain for warzone and playing it just to see godzilla is gonna be something. New cinematic where Butcher is explaining the founding of Vanguard to the Cold War operators and then talking about Godzilla. -
As a kid back in 1992, I used to endlessly play Sagat's theme over and over and daydream about actually going to Thailand and find Sagat's stage so I could train in there and become a Muai Tai master myself.. But now that I finally found out the place actually exists, I'm a little too old and broke to go.. 😞

I use discor ever single day, Well, as soon as my system turns on discord starts up right away. I'm in over 40 servers and with that it's the place that I get my everyday information about anything that I follow, even from day to day news that people post. It started as a place for gamers to come and talk with others and game and share, nowadays it's just more then that. DIscord can do allot now when it was first around.
