Sega might be next in NFTs, but they're looking into it first
Empire replied to Kane99's topic in Gaming News
There has been too much violence, too much pain! None here are without sin, but I have an honorable compromise. Just walk away. Leave the NFTs, the monkeys, and I will spare your lives. Just walk away and there will be an end to the horror. -
I would argue that for most people hardware wallets are NOT more secure. I see way more people losing access to their wallets because of forgotten seeds than being hacked. So I guess depends on your definition of secure.

I wasn't that kind of a kid ๐ I was loving the 8 hours drive at one point ๐

Linked not working, Can be excited to see all the cars come available in the used car dealer to see what I get to explore with. But yoo, 2 things that surprised me, the amount of paint jobs you can do, and the realistic colors from car brands they have .. it's insane. Andd the photography mode, broo, the amount of locations they let you shoot at, is wildd.

I played Double Dragon II with a friend over netplay the other day, and the sprite flicker was pretty bad. I can now see why they made the first game one player becasue there's next to no flicker here. I mean, I would have preferred a 2 player mode, but I''m just saying that I can see their reasoning now. It's still a great game either way.

Steam Passes 28 Million Concurrent Users, Setting New Record
Empire replied to Kane99's topic in Gaming News
Even with these inflated prices, you still save money on a PC because of the cheaper game cost, longer lifespawn and not paying nearly as much for games, mod access to make certain games last much longer than on console, as well as not having to pay for console online (lol). Plus, it's a PC. It's not just worthless 90% of the time and collects dust after your games are done, you can use it for anything, I use mine for work 8 hours a day. This is less of a bonus now that so many people use their smartphones so much, but it's still there. -
Sony Interactive Entertainment CEO "Expect More Aquisitions"
Empire replied to Crazycrab's topic in Gaming News
All these studio acquisitions are great but how long before they start closing studio's down when new games underperform, its happened before with Driveclub and The Order 1886 Sony is relying on physical media sales while MS is buying to build up Gamepass which will help fund and keep these studios making games -
Just a side note I feel like Nintendo should put some of the 3ds games on the switch because yโknow the 3ds got discontinued and not a lot of people have a 3ds but thatโs just my opinion. This came out on PC, hopefully it's good on any platform

Nope, I tend to listen to things when I'm doing something that's worth having on, while trucking in a game I put music on or soemthing. I do not often play music around. Not even in the car going to day to day places.

Linux v MacOS v Windows - Which do you prefer to use daily?
Empire replied to DudeThatsErin's topic in PC
Windows user here ๐ - always been using it ๐ I have used many otehr OS but always stick with Windows -
I usually don't play super hard stuff or I'll over-level a character to get gud. I'd say it's getting out of Cairo station on halo2 on legendary. I love the game is the only reason I stuck with it but the checkpoints were kinda long and the elites were just bullet sponges. Real piad

They're making deals with the developers of those games. Most of the games being given away are done in conjunction with those developers releasing new DLC/sequels/versions for those games or have been out for a fairly long time and the developers aren't making much money at the moment on them anyway

That's the gaming media in general. Microsoft and Xbox are always seen as the imposters of the gaming industry and can't do anything to make their products desirable while Nintendo and Sony get preferential treatment and leniency. It's because the gaming media see the growth of Nintendo and Sony as organic while Microsoft are the big bad corpo with the American dollars trying to take over. I bet certain media personalities are crying into their pillows right now, the irony lol. This wouldn't have happened if the Xbox brand was given a fair shake.

This whole chip shortage thing, in addition to my 5700xt having driver issues, has made me way more productive than I was planning on. When scalping has become an unethical yet legitimate career option. What a wonderful time to live in.

I feel you, the best online gameplay was on PS2 when we had to "hack" our ps2 to get online play for pes. I mean they are the days, I never did get into the game though, was not for me.

What are your thoughts on trophies/achievements?
Empire replied to NightmareFarm's topic in Gaming Forum
I think they're great tbh. I'm not an achievement hunter by any stretch but games like TF2 and Payday 2 have fantastic achievements that in my opinion make the games more fun to play. -
I recently got Human Fall Flat on sale and I've been playing it through on co-op. Its been a lot of fun and I would highly recommend it! Also, Firewatch is a must if you're a sucker for art style and good voice acting.
