I would really love to see naughty dog make a new IP for their next game (after the multiplayer one coming this year) but I’m afraid after seeing TLOU show do so well that they’re going to play it safe and make TLOU part 3 next 😕

Do you think scalpers will buy up the PSVR2 as well?
Empire replied to Kane99's topic in Playstation
Scalpers probably gonna be a big chunk of buyers with the expendable income to buy it or those that can justify it lol But I see them doing what they do best they they won'y stop -
The thing is, VR sets have an incredibly high return rate. There are genuine flaws with the hardware or people have buyer's remorse because or whatever. With the first PSVR, even, there was a HUGE amount of variation from one LED panel to the next so some people were just cycling through many trying to find ones with acceptably low levels of OLED mora.

By looking at the gameplay and the sick beats, this game looks promising, I can't wait to play it, but just remember that we still need The Evil Within 3 or a sequel to The Evil Within 2

I remember reading an interview with a developer (possibly Naughty Dog) where they said its incredibly hard to do split screen because essentially you have to program the game for two really weird sized resolutions since most games are now built for widescreen HD TVs. Before, they were able to split a screen for a fairly square SD TV and it was easier.

Yeah, but they has to be a third-party addon that works with the game.. Twitch does not do anything like that. Even that I can do that for MSFS, with Vatsim or live traffic with realism on. I can't have that option on.

WWE 2K23 new trailer featuring John Cena Showcase mode
Empire replied to Kane99's topic in Video Games
There are gonna be some obvious exclusions but so many great matches and arenas will be unlocked here! The old Smackdown fist, RA Raw, Wrestlemania 23 and 28, One Night stand, Summerslam ‘08, and hopefully more from the Ruthless Aggression era. Also I’m so glad they included Wrestlemania 23. That’s the mania that really hooked me as a John Cena fan. -
Been waiting for this game in anticipation since the first teaser, and it still looks just as wild and crazy as the initial gameplay snippets. Reminds me a lot of Dead Island, except with robots instead of zombies. And pretty ironic to me that both Atomic Heart and Dead Island 2 are coming out this year.

Nope, Yet other people that I know have played the game.

If you want a switch, there is no better time like now. We have being hearing about the “switch pro” for like 3 years now, and Nintendo have said that the switch have reach its half way point it’s life time, so I would guess where are not gonna see a new switch not before 2024.

Very unlikely. Phones have pretty much taken over that space, there's not enough of a market for dedicated handhelds today. Even during the 3DS's lifespan it didn't perform nearly as well as the DS era, and had a sharp drop towards the end as phones really took over. Nintendo saw the writing on the wall and pulled out instead of making a successor.

There aren't any retro FPS with online multiplayer as far as I'm aware. In terms of retro FPS, there's Turok with couch coop but it does not have an online component. Your best bet would be a game like Doom (2016) or any other modern FPS on the console.

There are many cool options that can get the chat going an dgetting into things, Most are from the third-party more then anything. We all haerd of marbles on stream right? something that chat can play and see there ball to get to the finnshing line. Just not long ago there is a add-on for MSFS2020 that allows chat to type in a command that takes control of my aircraft as I fly it 😛 like !engine and the engines goes off or !close and that close the sim down XD

Made a film based right? I just think Uncharted works so much better as a game. It’s like if they made a Call of Duty film it would just be a typical action war film. Or with GTA a film version would be nothing special. Yeah the Uncharted film was decent but they probably just have just directly adapted one of the games’ story

This feels like this game was never meant to be a open world but somewhere in production they got forced to turn it into an open world. It shows you they didn’t have any clue about world building and just thought fantasy world building required little effort.

Yeah. but like I also mention that the CPU that you got now, whatever it is? can be able to OC and able to puch as much as you can 🙂 and then see what you can get out of it. I have seen last gen CPUs able to OC far more better and higher speeds then the gens that they ahve going now XD

Yeah, as it would have to be om WIfi, and Wifi isn't the best regards cable. So it needs to have the fastest Wifi speeds that you can even get. GAming Router 😛

No idea it's late 2023 or into 2024. But no idea. SOmething that you have to google and get information yourself.

Vulgarity In Video Games, Especally NPC Prejudice/Bigotry
Empire replied to The Blackangel's topic in Gaming Forum
The way I see it, reporting is no solution; muting, especially, is no solution either. Telling people to just "ignore the comments" is like telling them to ignore the problem itself. What we'd need is a cultural change within these gaming communities: Racism, sexism, anti-semitism etc. should no longer be perceived as being acceptable, as being something you just have to put up with if you want to play online games. But how do we achieve this? To be frank, at the moment, this all seems rather utopistic. Cultural changes always need time – especially within communities which are as diverse as gaming communities, which encompass people from all over the world. In my opinion, however, that shouldn't keep us from trying though. -
Was expecting this to come sooner or later, after the last announcement that Eidos, Crystal and Square Montreal acquisition by Embracer Group. And given Square Enix's adamant commitment to NFTs, it's no wonder that they'd barely have resources allocated to continue the venture of brand new western IPs. Heck, the recent decisions with their successful japanese IPs are already starting to become questionable as well.

Were in a video game crash like 83 but not for the same reasons. The industry has completely lost all touch as they push for online live services. Babylons Fall, Stadia dead, 343 failing again, unfinished games, NFTs, mass layoffs, buyouts etc. etc. Its reminiscing of a crash. But unlike 83 its likely going to be longer and more painful since the studios involved seem to big to fail and will continue to produce garbage. Indie games and mid budget studios seems to be doing well though at least.

What game would you like to see in VR that isn't?
Empire replied to Shortie's topic in Virtual Reality
I'd love a survival sim where you're dropped into an open-world with a pre-existing set of NPC communities where you have to take a plot of raw land, build a basic fortification, use a weapon to hunt with but then branch out into the greater world, make friends with locals and grow your fortification in a post-meltdown scenario.
