Used to back in the day, It was fun to setup and then while I'm away it would record onto the DVD or thumb drive. We even had a option to pause live TV and it will start recording to the drive. Those days stoppped now since we have better tech that allows as to watch programs that we mixed online or stream the next day option. I watch things no with stream on demand. Easy and fast and you get the full HD

I don't read books at all. The interest just isn't there. I often find myself reading without actually reading. I'd read each and every word on the page while not giving it meaning. Sometimes the interest dies half way through a page and I drag the remaining words. It's difficult for someone like to me have interests in books

I do not sidlike them, Yet I can't even ride them 😛 I might one day in the furture but UK weather is just so BAD 😞 cheaper then running a car in a long term.

Games that are simultaneously stressful and relaxing?
Empire replied to StaceyPowers's topic in Gaming Forum
World of Tanks is a slower paced game. If you play Self Propelled Gun, it can be even more chilled out. Yet, Final Fantasy XIV. If I just want to relax, I'll do some crafting or fishing or something. The player community is pretty non-toxic for an MMO, too. It has a generous free trial, if you want to check it out. -
When do you think these graphics will become the norm?
Empire replied to NightmareFarm's topic in Gaming Forum
We going to see a new ways of tech in the furture of gaming and PC hardware days. RTX have not been around that long and wounder what they wii think of next after the RTX. In principle games could get to a point very close to a level of photorealism close to current Hollywood productions. Current advances in real time ray-tracing with the latest graphics cards could point in that direction. However, it also gets more and more expensive to make less and less impressive progress. One thing is rendering. To increase the level of details you would need a lot more computer power to simulate realistic shading to Hollywood quality. You would also need a more man power, or at least better tooling, for creating that enhanced content. -
Sports games that feature more obscure sports?
Empire replied to StaceyPowers's topic in Gaming Forum

Most distinctive environments in open world games?
Empire replied to StaceyPowers's topic in Gaming Forum
I see open world games just as something that has a very high replay value. For example, if i play linear game, there's usually nothing to do when the game is completed, therefore, player just deletes it and looks for another game but in an open world game once the campaign is done, you still have side quests, collectables, outposts, roaming enemies, etc. If you liked the world, you can still live in it. The downside of all this is that open world games must usually have very satisfying gameplay and devs don't have unlimited resources - so, they usually sacrifice the story. Hence, we have such games like Assassin's Creed that have cool gameplay but meh story. -
I will never get over how superlative this radio station is, at least one of, if not the best in all of the Grand Theft Auto franchise, other than the customized/personal ones. It's so refreshing and wonderful to hear popular music not just from my homeland in America, but be able to enjoy and experience even the little bit here of the art of other cultures around the world in a cool way.

Dubstep. I've tried guys, I've tried. The sound just doesn't appeal to me. It's weird because I look at dubstep as sort of the heavier side of electronic, so if there was any electronic I'd like it should be that because I'm a big fan of metal. But no, it just doesn't work for me.

Imagine being such a good undercover cop that you can straight-up wear a police uniform in front of all your gang member buddies and never get caught. Wei Shen is the Chinese James Bond.

I'm gonna add in a more niche community - the Halo competitive community, specifically Halo 3. Absolutely atrocious people on there. God forbid you get on a team with 2 or 3 man squad, because then everything will be your fault. Is your team losing? Then you're trash and costing them the game. Are you losing but you are at the top of your teams scoreboard? Then you're a statting, selfish piece of shit baiter.

Aren't in-game addictions as regards buying DLCs in-game, most are from the third-party store from the developers 🙂 then you download and install them yourselves. PLus I have over 120GB in addons now for MSFS and for both sims, spent well over $1800

At least someone enjoys it 🙂 It's not for everyone but maybe Dying Light 2 be far more better then the first or worse.

Most underrated games that came out last year?
Empire replied to NightmareFarm's topic in Gaming Forum
Around 4 years now. Like Isaid it's just not that amount of hours into the one single sim, that's all the hours together in three sims that I have. MSFS is 1200 hours. No difference to other playing there go to game, I have people spent 4000 hours in Atlas 🙂 -
Titanfall 2. Don’t get me wrong sliding and wall running is cool and all but if not for the story I would have played 1 match before deciding that the game is boring

As someone who grew up with the PS2 (27 y.o. now) but loves Atari to death, I can say this: I find a lot of charm in its simplicity, and love playing arcade games for high scores. Also, the homebrews. A lot of amazing homebrews, and more coming out every year.

Gameplay reminds me of Salt & Sanctuary. Music already reminds me of NieR. Concept reminds me of Child of Light.

Nintendo has claimed rights for their own emulator for mobile platforms. So be aware that the legality of emulators is starting to phase into the red zone. Personally, I wish companies would claimed rights for the ROMs and not the emulators, we could then buy the ROMs and play it with already existing emulators.

Unpopular opinion but i tried Dying Light and it just wasn't for me, the whole parkour thing on an fps was just too weird for me and the whole zombie tematic just isnt something i like, i will say the online co-op system is pretty good tough. I feel like everyone has this one game where literally everyone seems to love but you dont, for me it is Dying Light

As for the new Samsung S22, I am not buying it. The bad side of this new S series is they did not include the charger. I cannot imagine why Samsung requires us to buy a charger for this new (Flagship) phone while everything around us comes with a charger?!? You are right, the charger could even be expensive. As a Note user all these years, I will try my luck this August which is usually when Samsung comes out with a Note Series.

Paul Blart 2. For some odd reason, I enjoyed the first Paul Blart movie as a guilty pleasure comedy. If I saw it on tv I wouldn’t mind to sit through it. BUT, this movie was a comedy black hole. All the charisma & (dare I say it) charm from the first was sucked out. During the screening, no one laughed, not even a short chuckle.

The man is 90 years old. He didn’t just compose this, he conducted the recorded performance. And they were lucky to get him, because his schedule is packed with other projects. I would love to be cast for Star Wars for no other reason than to have John Williams create a theme for my character. I'd probably do it for free.

Movies You Thought were Good but Critics Didn't Like
Empire replied to Jayson's topic in Movies & TV
Pain and Gain. I love that movie, and have watched it more than any other since it was released. Its such an energetic, overblown, tightly edited and shot satire on the American dream. There's so much humour in it. Awesome soundtrack too. -
Les Miserables! Saw it the day it came out. Christmas. I think the hype of it had me excited about it. Once I bought the DVD and actually sat down at home & watched it, I hated it. The singing was awful. Cast was completely off. I ended up selling the DVD on eBay.

Yakuza 0. If you like it then move on to Kiwami then Kiwami 2. If you're still invested, then play the HD collection then 6. As a side note I know plenty of people who aren't usually interested in turn-based combat but still end up loving Like a Dragon. It's a fantastic game and it's worth at least trying. Also it could be considered its own jump-in point since it's the start of Ichiban's story and is mostly isolated from the other games (except for the last 1/4th of the game).
