Would you have an android as a lover?
Empire replied to Reality vs Adventure's topic in General Chat
I use it YEAH, do I love using it, Nope. I would say I been using Windows for 25 years and still do not say I love it π -
I was so disappointed at how short it was. The creator said that there would be more game modes, but there arenβt. - NOPE

Mortal Kombat Advance (2001) for the GBA is STILL the absolute worst game in 2021. 11 year old me still hasn't forgiven myself, but in hindsight it was nice to have set the bottom of the barrel at such a young age.

Cool, let us know how you go with your new old toy π Take images and what games you have then?

Empire replied to killamch89's topic in General Chat
Unwind mostly by relaxing with a film and whatnot π Then again with me I mostly game till late then watch films in bed till even later then go and TRY and sleep π That sounded bad in away. -
Games that give you positive feedback/encouragement
Empire replied to StaceyPowers's topic in Gaming Forum
Valheim comes to mind that gets positive resuilts and reviews plus does encouraged people and users. I mean when it was released it was massive right LOL and they are always adding new updates. -
Why are there not more placement ads in video games?
Empire replied to StaceyPowers's topic in Gaming Forum
For a racing game (Forza, NFS Gran Turismo) it doesn't bother me so much, because racing events IRL are dependent upon companies sponsoring the races. So it doesn't really bother me when I'm coming out of turn 4 and I notice several billboards along the outer wall. Alright, cool. But it would aggravate me to see, let's say, the Illusive Man pulling out a pack of Camel No 9's and a Zippo lighter in every cut scene he was in. Crap like that would aggravate the hell out of me. It just seems like a shameless plug. -
I really liked the magic map from Far Cry 2. It feels like a good compromise between the convenience of a mini-map, with the immersion of not having one. Putting the map away in combat makes perfect sense. You also still get that feeling of exploration because its more like a paper map than a weird abstraction of every one's exact position.

Do you feel depressed as you near the end of an open world game?
Empire replied to StaceyPowers's topic in Gaming Forum
I'll admit it's happened to me. And it's, always a weird thing too. I couldn't think of a name for it until I found this post. It's like you start playing after work and all of a sudden you see the sun coming up you can't help but think "Wow...It's really that late now isn't it?" I always feel really cheap afterwords. -
Not another teen moive. Was on my fire stick looking at what I can watch at the same time being on my PC π And it was free to watch on prime and it was good, 2002 it was made.

I think lyric videos are great for super small bands who want to make a video, but don't have the funds for an actual music video. Looks better than the lyric videos you see on Youtube with a black background and a paragraph of words showing up at a time, and you get a chance to see some artwork while reading/listening to a band you've probably never heard before.

Doesn't matter if it's new or old or how it looks, end of the day as long as it feels nice to hold as you are gaming π also that end of the day you look at the screen and not your controller

Moments in games where a lack of soundtracking is impactful
Empire replied to StaceyPowers's topic in Gaming Forum
Looking back on when I played Saints Row the Third, the most memorable moments in the game for me were when a particular song would come on. What I Got, Power, You're the Best, and Holding Out for a Hero in particular. People who have played SR3 will know what scenes I'm talking about. -
Last game that I did last night was GTA doing FiveM, RP server. New Server that just been running for two days now and already a cop and to get the server promoted.

Do you enjoy external soundtrack when playing video games?
Empire replied to Justin11's topic in Gaming Forum
It usually depends on the music. In most games the soundtrack is just there to set the tone and keep you immersed and in the mindset of what you are doing. Most songs during battle are naturally blocked out. But if I was doing games that are little boring ot needs a punch, ETS or just any trucking to driving game or even flying on long flights in MSFS2020 then I put music on, From Chrome or spotify -
Is it also available for both PC and switch I hear. I read something about it. I can't believe that, of all things Nintendo, the NSO expansion pack trailer is the most disliked video ever, thanks to those disliker crazy bats.

Agree and still I'm so bad at the game series π I wish they made more though as it was a very good thinking game, like a good Puzzle.

Names/labels over NPCs on the screen: useful or irritating?
Empire replied to StaceyPowers's topic in Gaming Forum
I find them distracting at times, depends if it's on the point or pointless you know, If it's big you think say what, can't see anything else π THen again it can be very helpful -
Games where you can turn your enemies against one another?
Empire replied to StaceyPowers's topic in Gaming Forum
Doom2 has a really good level designed around that. Map 08 "Tricks and Traps". When you walk through one of the many doors there's a room with a bunch of Baron of Hell's facing away from you and on the other side of the room there's a Cyberdemon that is facing you. Naturally the cyberdemon aggros and shoots at you but the Baron's are all in the way and they all begin a fight to the death. You can try go guns blazing but its more practical to save ammo and just let them all kill each other off. -
Manifold Garden is a really nice looking game with fairly simple puzzles (unless you go for secret stuff), though you do have to be able to wrap your head around the gravity shifting mechanic.
