What gets you hooked on playing a game?
JennyorAlice replied to StaceyPowers's topic in Gaming Forum
That's a big reason why I read a lot as well. Reading can do the same thing. It helps me to relax after a long hard day at work. -
I agree. Having your health is very important. Money can buy a lot of things but if you don't have your health.....then that can make things worse.

I'm a big horror fan as well. I was thinking of something that involved Michael Myers from the Halloween franchise. I am also a fan of the Paranormal Activity series but I'm not sure how that would work out into a video game. The tv show NOS4A2 (which is based on the book of the same name by Joe Hill) would be a good video game.

If you had to work for a game developer, which would you choose?
JennyorAlice replied to StaceyPowers's topic in Gaming Forum
I would also choose Nintendo. I started out with the NES as my first ever console and I've been a Mario fan ever since. I think the GameCube and the Switch are the best consoles that they've produced so far, purely for the games that have come out for those consoles. -
I can't say that I have. There may be games I don't play anymore because they are forgotten.

Do you wish they'd make any games that included your favorite horror characters? Which games do you want to see come to fruition?

What book series could become a future AAA game series?

The Inheritance Cycle by Christopher Paolini This is something that I would love to play if someone would just make them into games. -
What gets you hooked on playing a game?
JennyorAlice replied to StaceyPowers's topic in Gaming Forum
If the game has a good enough story that I get lost in it....... That's what gets me hooked. That's why I stayed hooked when I was playing Hogwarts Legacy last year. The other part was the fact that I am kind of a Harry Potter nerd. -
What game have you purchased the largest number of times?
JennyorAlice replied to StaceyPowers's topic in Gaming Forum
My hubby calls me a Harry Potter nerd. I've read the entire series and watched all the movies. My hubby hasn't read any of the books but he normally watches the movies with me. I was really looking forward to this game when it finally came out last year. I have heard rumors that they're making a sequel and I hope they're true. -
I think I am careful about what I eat, if I'm eating anything at all. There are too many things that are just messy and I don't want that all over my controller. If I'm going to drink juice, I'm going to go with white grape peach. It's really good. You should try it if you are a juice person. If I'm going to drink a hot beverage then I'm going a hot chocolate. However, I don't drink this all the time. I normally only do this when it's cold out.

What video games did you put off finishing?
JennyorAlice replied to StaceyPowers's topic in Gaming Forum
It was. I felt a sense of accomplishment when I beat the game but at the same time I was sad that the game was over. I still wanted to keep playing....... -
I'm glad you're not in that abusive relationship anymore. Life is hard enough without someone making it harder than it needs to be. I just play video games in my off time. It's a form of entertainment for me. If it didn't entertain me any longer, then I probably wouldn't do it anymore. But I don't see that happening though.

Are you happy with the amount of time you game?
JennyorAlice replied to StaceyPowers's topic in Gaming Forum
I am enjoying it so far. I've been limiting myself to playing it on my days off, which I'm fine with. By the time I get home from work, I only get to sit down for a few minutes before I have to cook dinner, wash the dishes after eating dinner, taking a shower, brushing my teeth and drying my hair. By this point, I'm too tired to do anything else so I just read some before going to bed. Reading helps me to relax before going to bed and I also don't want to get amped up playing a video game before going to bed. -
I played some Paper Mario yesterday on my day off. I was able to beat the Twilight Trail level yesterday before I had to start making dinner.
-
It's bringing back some memories from when I played it on the GameCube. I am enjoying it so far but I've only been able to play it on my days off from work.

I don't think gaming has had an impact on my life one way or the other. It's not affected my life in a negative way, that's for sure. I don't let it keep me from going to work and doing the things that I'm suppose to do. I don't know......it's just something that I do to entertain myself with during my time off from work.

What video games did you put off finishing?
JennyorAlice replied to StaceyPowers's topic in Gaming Forum
I don't think I've ever dreaded putting off finishing a game. I think that I was sad when I finally beat Hogwarts Legacy last year. There were so much I liked about that game that I didn't want it to end. But I didn't dread it coming to an end......just a little sad that I had finally beat it. -

JennyorAlice replied to StaceyPowers's topic in Gaming Forum
Hogwarts Legacy I have purchased 2 copies of this game........one for my PS4 and another for my Nintendo Switch. I have never purchased more than one copy of a video game before until last year when Hogwarts Legacy come out. -
I thought about doing this when Hogwarts Legacy came out last year. I was on the fence about it for the longest time. I finally decided not to do it because I didn't want to burn through all of my vacation for one single video game and not have time for something else.

The only free to play games I play are on my phone. There are two that I play and I normally play them during my lunch break at work, once I'm done eating my food obviously.
-
I'm still playing Paper Mario: The Thousand Year Door on my Nintendo Switch I haven't stopped playing it since my hubby bought me this game as an early birthday present.
