What improvement do you want most to your gaming space?
JennyorAlice replied to StaceyPowers's topic in Gaming Forum
I would like to have all my video game consoles attached to one tv. Right now, all my consoles are spread out all over the house. I've got 3 tvs in my house and each one has at least 2-3 consoles hooked up to them at the moment. -
Have you ever made a decision based on Trailer?
JennyorAlice replied to Kennysplash's topic in Gaming Forum
I can see myself doing this if I'm on the fence about a particular game. If I know I'm going to get the game (like Hogwarts Legacy for example) then I don't have to worry about it. -
Are you happy with the amount of time you game?
JennyorAlice replied to StaceyPowers's topic in Gaming Forum
When I was playing Hogwarts Legacy last year, I often wished I had more time for gaming. Right now, I'm okay with the amount of time I have for gaming. Normally I can fit in a gaming session (with the exception of Hogwarts Legacy). -
Do you have any gaming clothing? How often do you wear it?

What should a game trailer’s purpose be?
JennyorAlice replied to StaceyPowers's topic in Gaming Forum
Yeah, I get that. That bugs me because I want to see more and I feel like they're just teasing me. -
Same here. I'm more interested in the game and whether it's fun or not.

Have you ever broken something on accident? What did you break? How did it break?

How do you feel watching other gamers rage?
JennyorAlice replied to StaceyPowers's topic in Gaming Forum
I don't understand that. The controllers are expensive enough.....but breaking a console? That's too much rage for me. -
How do you feel watching other gamers rage?
JennyorAlice replied to StaceyPowers's topic in Gaming Forum
I'll get mad once in while when I'm playing a game but I don't go into a rage when playing. I know some people who have gotten so mad that they have broken controllers before. If you're that mad, you need to take a break to calm down. -
What should a game trailer’s purpose be?
JennyorAlice replied to StaceyPowers's topic in Gaming Forum
I would think that the whole purpose of the trailer is to sell that particular game to the general public in order to entice as many people as possible to purchase their game. I would like to see a little more game play during the trailer to see what I'm getting into, especially now that games are at least $50 to $60 a pop these days. But I guess they don't want to give too much away in the trailers. -
What is the biggest problem with online games?
JennyorAlice replied to Yarik's topic in Gaming Forum
I don't normally play games online so I wouldn't know first hand. If the other players online were cheating and whatnot, I could see where that would ruin the fun of the game though. -
Have you ever made a decision based on Trailer?
JennyorAlice replied to Kennysplash's topic in Gaming Forum
I normally only play Mario games and Harry Potter games. The trailers for them don't have to really do anything to sell me on the game because I already plan on buying the game in the first place. Now, there was one game that I wanted to get a few years ago because the trailer made the game look really good. I didn't end up getting the game because the game is only available digitally. But, now that I've been reminded of the game, I'm thinking of changing my mind and getting the game. Especially now that I've played Hogwarts Legacy enough to get that game out of my system enough that I can play some other games. -
Does anyone else get stressed when you can’t save manually?
JennyorAlice replied to StaceyPowers's topic in Gaming Forum
Well, I think manually saving a game would come in handy when you've reached a really hard level or reached a really hard spot in the game. Because then you can save at that point instead of having to go back to the spot where the game automatically saved for you. There were some games that I didn't feel like they automatically saved often enough and it irritated me. -
If I start missing a game at some point or nostalgia hits me at some point for a game, in some cases I can go back and still play that game depending on what console it came out on. I still have some older consoles still hooked up to a tv somewhere in my house so there are some games I can probably still play.

Do you sometimes engage in binge gaming?
JennyorAlice replied to Kennysplash's topic in Gaming Forum
When I played Hogwarts Legacy last year, there was no such thing as a quick session. I played that game all day long on my day off because it was easy for me to loose track of time on my day off while playing that game. -
If my hands or wrists start hurting, it's usually from playing a game for hours on end. If I start experiencing that, then I'll give the gaming a rest and relax for a while.

I'm normally playing some type of Mario game or some type of Harry Potter game.

Do you still play local multiplayer with anyone?
JennyorAlice replied to Kane99's topic in Gaming Forum
I use to play games in person with my brother when we were all kids. It's not something we've done recently because we don't live under the same roof anymore. The three of us still live in the same state, at least, but we're not living under our parents roof anymore. I don't really have anybody to play with anymore. I'm usually playing video games by myself when I am playing. -
Have you ever taken time off work to play a new game?
JennyorAlice replied to Kennysplash's topic in Gaming Forum
I was really looking forward to Hogwarts Legacy when it finally came out last year. I didn't take any time off from work to play it although I had thought about it. See, I had been limiting myself to only playing it on my days off because I was really bad at watching the time when I was playing that game. I got so lost in that game that it was easy to loose track of time so I only played it on my days off from work. I was afraid to start playing that game and would be really late for work.......so I made sure to limit myself. If I was unable to do that, then I would have handed the game off to my spouse and would have asked them to not let me have it unless it was my day off. But back to the topic at hand, I had 3 weeks of vacation time at my previous job and I had thought about just taking some time to just play the game but I didn't want to burn up all of my vacation time on a single video game so I didn't do it. I did end up taking my vacation time before I started my current job so I did get spend some of my vacation time playing that game and getting it out of my system before I started my current job. -
Do you miss playing games when you are far from home?
JennyorAlice replied to Kennysplash's topic in Gaming Forum
I don't normally miss video games when I'm far from home. Not usually. With the Switch, you can take your video games with you as long as you have a way to re-charge it at some point so that kind of solves that problem for me. -
So far I have..... PS4 Switch X0Box 360 (this is my hubby's) Wii U Wii GameCube All of these are still hooked up to a tv somewhere in my house. When Hogwarts Legacy came out last year, I started out playing it on the PS4 and then I played it some more on the Switch so those where the only two consoles that were used last year. The others still work as far as I know. I don't get ride of my consoles, I've kept them so far because they still work just fine.

For some reason, I've started Luigi's Mansion 3 a couple of times but I've not progressed passed a certain point. Every time I've started it, something else has come up. This last year, I've been focused on Hogwarts Legacy and nothing else when it comes to playing video games. Since I've gotten that out of my system, I've thought about maybe giving it another go....

Do you have a set schedule for your gaming? Like, do you have a set amount of time set aside for you to play video games? If so, what is it?
