I think I need to find/play Grim Fandango... I remember hearing a lot about it around 2000, so maybe it's time. Anyway @Alyxx stole my answer. It was The Curse of Monkey Island. Escape From Monkey Island is good as well.

Okay, we'll leave it there per your comfort. 🙂 That's interesting that Norway remains Christian. I will say that of Sweden, Norway and Denmark - Norway is the only one I haven't visited and equally the one I know the least about. Maybe more Norway questions... I'll have to think.

As a Muslim myself I have I ask you what would be wrong with a Muslim running the country? And controversial traditions? It'd be be cool if you'd elaborate on that was well. 🙂 Is Norway still a Christian country for real? I though Scandinavia as a whole was more secular on the national level...

Tips for beating performance anxiety?
MegaphoneStallone replied to StaceyPowers's topic in Gaming Forum
Agreed. The best plan is to realise it's just a game, has literally 0 real world consequences or stakes, and just get on with it. That or turn it off for a while and rejig yourself. 🙂 -
If you could become the owner of one gaming company?
MegaphoneStallone replied to Cabrelle's topic in Gaming Forum
Oh, you guys and your obsessions with certain companies. My only criteria is, what company is making the most in profit. That is my company. -
Cute but nasty monsters from video games

I think it helps that they are literally bugs, but the Pikmin universe has some good ones... -
The OLDEST video games you remember playing on a PC?
MegaphoneStallone replied to The Overseer's topic in Video Games
I would say it's probably Ragnarok/Valhalla (1992). From memory.. I'm probably wrong though. I've almost definitely played games from the 80's. I just can't for the life of me name one. -
I could not think of a single thing that sounds more boring than this. I don't think I'd enjoy putting a PC together IRL, let alone some online version of such a mundane task. Hard pass.

I have much older brothers, like 12 years older than me. When I was little, they played - and from there I learned and just kind of fell into it entirely organically. It really was part of growing up/my childhood for me.

I feel like it was probably some Mario GameBoy game or Tetris.

Lion Air crash: Tragic find shocks distraught families RESCUERS in inflatable boats retrieved human remains, pieces of aircraft and personal belongings from the Java Sea yesterday after a new-generation Boeing jet operated by an Indonesian budget airline crashed minutes after takeoff, killing all 189 people on board. Distraught family members struggled to comprehend how the Lion Air plane that was just two months old crashed in fine weather with experienced pilots. They gathered at crisis centres set up by the authorities at airports, hoping desperately for a miracle. But a top search official, citing the condition of the remains recovered, said no survivors are expected. Games that get better as they go along?
MegaphoneStallone replied to StaceyPowers's topic in Gaming Forum
Really? Fair enough. I'm the opposite to you on this one though. Diablo I was great, and it's all downhill from there. I disliked Diablo II and have never even bothered to play Diablo III. -
Sounds like me on Sim City. Love Sim City 3000, hate Sim City 4. I haven't played the Sims 4 yet, I'm skeptical too. It seems too modern for my liking. I will admit, you are right. The Sims 2 is highly superior to The Sims 3.

Two one handed weapons. One in each hand. And body armour. I've been playing too much Goldeneye, maybe.

How you decide to buy a new video game?
MegaphoneStallone replied to The Overseer's topic in Video Games
For me, at the moment, Nostalgia dictates. If I remember a game from my childhood for N64. I buy it. Simples. -
Wow. Looks interesting. I'm not sure it's something that could hold my attention. But cool.

Oh. Weird question, but one I'm curious about - many Muslims in Norway? I always hear about/meet online Muslims from Denmark and Sweden...But never Norway.

How close are we to deep dive/full immersion VR
MegaphoneStallone replied to Obsessed With Gaming's topic in Gaming Forum
Sure. 100%. Such advancements, if they actually do improve quality of life are worth paying for. Paying in monetary terms, absolutely. Not paying with our rights, humanity and dignity though. If you're paying with those things, you're giving up some quality of life, to gain a separate kind. @Alyxx (tagged cos I forgot to quote.) -
Where in the world do you live? What are the pros and cons of living there?
-
Do you prefer to live alone, or with family/room mates/whatever? Personally, I have never lived alone and don't know that I could. I was looking to move out of my parents house (I was literally looking at places to live at the time) when I met my wife, but I wound up getting married and moving in with her. Looking back, maybe living alone would have been bad for me.

'We love history': Kentucky father defends wearing Nazi SS officer's uniform and dressing his son as HITLER for Halloween A father from Kentucky has been forced to apologize after he dressed his son up as Adolf Hitler while he wore the costume of a Nazi soldier for a family photo to celebrate Halloween. Brant Goldbach said he regrets dressing his five-year-old son as the dictator, while he was wearing a Waffen-SS uniform. But he initially attempted to justify the idea saying his son loved dressing as 'historical figures' Goldbach posted photos of the outfits during a local trick or treat event on Thursday and condemned those who approached and threatened him and his son during the party. Read on: https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-6324457/Father-forced-apologize-dressing-son-Hitler-Halloween-photo.html Oh, god. The mental gymnastics and the way he tries to rationalise his choice to dress his son as one of the worst genocidal dictators history, by comparing it to people dressing as works of fiction. Sorry dude, loving History is no excuse. Maybe dress as something less malignant next year. Yuck. And his poor son, even watching an easily episode of South Park would have warned against this stupidity.
