Dogs, cats, rodents, and horse are just a few animals that are nowhere near the menu for me. I had horse meat once when I was little, but that was almost 40 years ago. So I honestly don’t remember what it tastes like.

I’ve had rabbit before. It’s actually pretty tasty. But due to so many people having them as pets, I no longer eat them. I now see them as companions, not food. My best friend has them, so out of respect for her, I won’t eat rabbit. I’ve also had frog legs hundreds of times, and even had escargot once. If you can get past the fact that you’re eating a goddamn snail, it’s surprisingly really good. Another thing I have had is sea urchin. If you like snot with sand in it, you’ll love urchin. To me, it was so nasty that I literally puked. Don’t get me wrong, I love sushi. But that shit was beyond disgusting.🤢🤮 One thing I do want to try however is rattlesnake.

For me, the jury’s still out on whether or not alien life has come across this planet. If it had, that could explain a good amount of things in which the knowledge has been lost over the millennia. For example, we no longer possess the knowledge of how and why Stonehenge was built. There’s a myriad of theories, but it’s been thousands of years since its construction and creation. Considering the size of the stones, modern man can’t figure out how primitive man was able to move and erect the stones. The most puzzling question about its construction is how they got the cap stones up on top. So if alien life had the technology to visit, maybe they had the technology to assist in building it. And that’s not the only example. As for natural examples, Bear Tower in Wyoming is a major question. A single plateau, not close enough to the rocky mountains to be a part of the mountain range. The native people have their legends, but others have decided to say it’s a landing pad for aliens. I don’t straight out say that alien life has never been here. There are too many things that don’t add up for me to flat out deny it. But just because one civilization hasn’t been here doesn’t mean none have.

Disclaimer: PART OF THIS STATEMENT, INCLUDING THE“100%” COMMENT IS PURE OPINION AND NOT PROVEN FACT BY SCIENCE. THE LIGHT YEAR NUMBERS HOWEVER, ARE PROVEN BY SCIENCE. ************************************** What is your belief about extraterrestrial life? While I have no rock solid evidence or proof, in my opinion alien life is a 100% fact. There IS life out there. Whether we meet them or not is irrelevant. With the universe being infinite, and there being an infinite (or at the very least uncountable) number of galaxies, planets, and stars, it’s not only irresponsible, but also arrogant and narcissistic to say that life is contained to this rock. In the grand scheme of the universe, we don’t even exist. Think a quadrillion to the quadrillionth power to the quadrillionth power to the quadrillionth to the quadrillionth power. That’s a ridiculous number as it is in absolutely no way anywhere NEAR close. In the microscopic amount of the universe that we can see and study, sure there’s a count. The nearest galaxy to the Milky Way is the Andromeda galaxy which is 2½ million light years from us. If you have a decent enough telescope, you can actually look at and see the entire galaxy. To put that distance in perspective, light moves at 186,000 miles per second. Now consider how big a distance that is for light to take a year to travel it. That distance is a light year. So all that information now known, who in their right mind could possibly believe that life is contained to this insignificant ball of nothing? Not that it affects anything, but I wanted to add a “Do you believe yes/no” poll on this, but can’t find that option on my phone.

Call of Duty Named in School Shooter Lawsuit
The Blackangel replied to Bilita's topic in Gaming News
More often than anyone wants to admit is when parents use a television as a babysitter. They convince themselves that the kid will be fine because they will just stay there and watch TV. That’s what leads to more difficulties in the real world. Some children develop extreme difficulty dealing with other people, and severe depression because of it. This can lead to twisted world views, and extreme issues later down the road. But parents who use a TV as a babysitter don’t care to recognize the signs that their child needs professional help, and the results are all too often deadly. Parents who actually take proper care of their children will end up with adults who are much more well adjusted. Now I’m not saying that every problem a kid has is their parents’ fault. Some people are born with emotional and mental issues that aren’t anyone’s fault. What I AM saying is that bad and good is often in the eye of the beholder, and that we all know right from wrong. The problem with that is that some people don’t care if it’s right or wrong. They do it anyway. Osama bin Laden thought that killing over 3,000 American people on 9/11 was a wonderful thing. The rest of the civilized world felt differently. -
You’re going to get a lot of differing opinions on this, strictly due to cultural norms. For me, things like pork, beef, chicken, turkey, and other wild game are animals that are fine to eat. There are some cultures that view dogs and cats the way I view hogs and cattle. To me, dogs and cats are companions and family. I refuse to even say that I “own” a dog. They have a pulse, personality, and desires, just like you and me. Being a dog person I can’t fathom the mere thought of ever harming them for any reason. If I have to starve so they can eat, then so be it. I’ll go hungry. It does sometimes seem hypocritical to say one is ok to be used as food but another is perfectly fine to eat. I’ve gotten several domestic dog of skulls from the bone subscription that I have, as well as several cat skulls. They went straight to the vet school. I donate them because they’re a valuable teaching tool, and I just can’t bare to keep them. Dogs and cats aren’t the only animals that I can’t keep. So a good amount the skulls i get go straight to the vet school. The world is a severely screwed up place with double standards and wildly different standards. I honestly think it all comes down to culture and circumstance.

I’m 100% a hockey fan. My team is the Detroit Red Wings. I’ll never abandon them. Yeah, I’m bummed when we lose, but I’m not going anywhere. It seems weird to a lot of people, because I’ve never even been been TO Michigan, let alone lived there. Coincidentally enough, the team I absolutely despise is the St. Louis Blues. I live roughly halfway between KC and StL and I can’t stand the one team in this state. It’s an unwritten rule in Missouri that if you’re a sports fan, you have to be a fan of a team here in Missouri. Football fans are required to be Chiefs fans. Baseball fans are required to be Cardinals fans unless you’re from KC the KC area. Then you’re allowed to be a Royals fan. Hockey fans are required to be Blues fans. Basketball fans are the only difference. They’re pretty loose who they’re fans of. I’ve noticed that race typically tips the meter. For example white people are typically Boston Celtics fans, and black people are typically LA Lakers fans. When i was into basketball as a kid I was neither. I was a Chicago Bulls fan. I’ve since lost interest in basketball. I’ve loved hockey for as long as I can remember. The problem when I was young was finding a game on TV so I could watch it.

What was the best meal you’ve ever eaten?
The Blackangel replied to killamch89's topic in General Chat
Probably Gramma’s biscuits and gravy with a side of bacon. But then anything that either Gramma or my sperm donor cooked. They were grandmasters in the kitchen. -
Is the Glass Half Empty or Half Full? A Perspective Check
The Blackangel replied to killamch89's topic in General Chat
Half empty. It is never half full. That’s a sorry excuse to hide from reality. If you want to see the world as it is, you know that it’s half empty. -

How Does Your Cultural Background Shape Your Music Taste?
The Blackangel replied to killamch89's topic in Music
When I was little I liked country music. I grew up on a farm, and it matched up with the kind of life I was living. In my teens I lost interest and started gravitating to metal. I always loved rock/metal as I’m a child of the 80’s. Now it’s rap and metal. They talk about the life I have lived since I dropped out of high school. I can relate to these songs, and understand what they’re saying in the lyrics. -
Something else I’m wanting to learn is a couple languages. They’re what the people of where my heritage comes from spoke/speak. I’m wanting to connect more to my heritage, as heritage means everything to me. I’m not naming them here because I can already see someone rolling their eyes and saying “You Americans always think you live here right now.” or something similar. Which is sadly more common than people realize. For example, a boy came here on a student visa and was actually from Ireland. He had lived there his entire life. He met a girl in school and they became really close. She brought him home to meet her family, and here’s where the problem started. Her family had it in their heads that they were the epitome of Irish people. If you wanted to meet someone Irish, your only option was to visit them. Well, they hated him pretty quick. Obviously, he spoke with an Irish accent. They decided that he was mocking them and insulting them all because they were Irish, and he wasn’t. They wouldn’t even listen to him or their own daughter when they tried to explain that he was from Ireland. If I remember right, he ended up thinking that just because of how stupid and pathetic they are, it was actually funny. I don’t know what happened to him and the girl, but that’s what I can see a lot of people saying when Americans talk about heritage.

More or less, just a personal homepage. No specific “theme” if you will. When I take it live, I’ll mention it.

What’s the Most Ridiculous TV Show You’ve Ever Binge-Watched?
The Blackangel replied to killamch89's topic in Movies & TV
The Big Bang Theory. I think that’s pretty self explanatory. In case it’s not: Sheldon is beyond obnoxious, Leonard is a jackass, Raj is a coward, Howard is nowhere near as smooth as he thinks he is, and Penny is a first grade moron. The characters are some of the worst I’ve ever seen, but for some misbegotten reason, I actually bought a bunch of seasons and binged it a few times. That’s a good number of brain cells I can never get back. -
What’s One Thing Movies Always Get Wrong?
The Blackangel replied to killamch89's topic in Movies & TV
Historical inaccuracies. Things that are easily fact checked, but the company making the movie decides to bastardize it anyway. Just ask @Shagger and @Crazycrab about Braveheart. I know that movie REALLY pissed @Shagger off, and I would bet that @Crazycrab feels just as violated. I feel the same when they intentionally fuck up American history. I mean Abe Lincoln: Vampire Hunter was bad enough, for a pure bullshit story. But when they screw everything up without a care about reality, they’ve gone too damn far. The Patriot was a decent enough movie if you know nothing about the Revolution. But if you know anything about it, they may as well have had aliens fly in to win the war for the Americans. That would have been a hell of a lot more believable than what they put in the movie. -

That’s not break dancing. That’s a seizure. -
Roughly 32 hours on RDR2. I think I took 3 bathroom breaks. I had no idea I had been playing it for so damn long. It wasn’t until @Rain Dew came in and showed me what day it was that I realized how long it had been. I was up at 6:00AM the day before, and it was a little after 2:00PM when she pulled me off of it. From there I went to bed and slept almost 20 hours straight. That was when I realized that I was truly (and still am) addicted to RDR2. But I would rather be addicted to a video game than to be using again.

Share Your Streaming Channel and Videos in This Thread
The Blackangel replied to DC's topic in Gaming Forum
@Rain Dew and I are planning a livestream coming soon. We have a few things to get ready and setup, but it’s hopefully going to happen this month. It will be her playing, and the two games topping the list of which to play are FFXIV and Tomb Raider. Rise Of The Tomb Raider I think. There’s so damn many Tomb Raider games that I just can’t keep them straight. I have no plans to do a livestream anytime soon, so for the time being, all livestreams will be @Rain Dew streaming. I hate the sound of my voice on recordings. I sound like a stoned man. I’m a 42 year old woman. Until I sound like a woman, I’m not posting ANY videos with any kind of narration. I can post videos without narration, but no one would want watch that. Besides, the channel deserves better, even if no one ever sees it.
