  1. Your guess is as good as mine. Maybe he was going for some weirdass record.
  2. I never had one, but @Rain Dew did. I've tinkered with hers, and it weighs a ton. It would definitely be comparable to several text books.
  3. I think there was also someone who, instead of running, tried backflipping everywhere. I don't remember if any of it worked out for them, but considering how OoT is designed, I highly doubt they got very far.
  4. Where do you fall in on this? I landed in the above average group, which is honestly a hell of a lot better than I thought I would score. Don't give away any of the answers to anyone, I want to see how everyone scores honestly.
  5. Do they even have any kind of power to dictate what American companies can and cannot do? It seems like severe overstepping. They have authority in the UK, but not here in the states.
  6. My favorite has always been fantasy. It's why I love Zelda, Castlevania, and most Final Fantasy games. There are one-offs like Dante's Inferno and Blasphemous. Here in the last couple years I've become a huge fan of horror games, especially psychological horror like Layers Of Fear. I've never been a fan of western games, despite me being all but obsessed with RDR2. When I was a kid, I had a bad case of tunnel vision when it came to games. Nowadays I'm willing to try just about anything. Obviously I'm still a classic gamer. Not as exclusively as I once was, but still play the old stuff that kids nowadays would never know what they were looking at. I mean, name me one kid of today's world who would know what the hell an NES is.
  7. Am I going to want this? I have HFW, but only because it came preinstalled on my PS5. I’ve never actually gotten around to playing it, but that’s just because everyone said to play Zero Dawn first, and I’ve never gotten around to picking up HZD.
  8. I saw this earlier today. It seems there’s almost a nationwide celebration of him getting canned. On a completely unrelated subject, @DC why the hell am I seeing hentai advertisements on here?
  9. Probably take one look at us and see us in the same way we see rocks. Though I doubt we would have much use as building materials.
  10. I personally haven't played any of these games, but I've seen a lot of you talk about some of these. Especially Fallout 76. So I'm really wanting to hear what you all have to say about all this.
  11. Once again, I have to say that the last game I played was FF8. What can I say, I love the damn game. I'm planning on getting on my N64 here in a bit, and watching some YouTube while I'm at it.
  12. Hatred is a good example of the games they want to ban. The only place it's even available anymore is on Steam, as it's been deemed "too violent" by the masses, and as someone who plays the game, I can definitely see why. All that said, the world has become so pussy whipped, that anything that isn't all sunshine and roses is going to have a huge amount of power hungry assholes with a superiority complex that think their opinion matters and should be taken as gospel. Manhunt may get made, but don't count on any kind of official release. There's a small chance that it could be "accidentally leaked" by someone at Rockstar. But that's nothing more than wishful thinking if you ask me. The following is from Wikipedia: On July 28, 2004, the game was linked to the murder of 14-year-old Stefan Pakeerah by his 17-year-old friend Warren Leblanc in Leicestershire, England. Initial media reports claimed that police had found a copy of the game in Leblanc's bedroom. Giselle and Patrick Pakeerah, the victim's parents, claimed that the game had influenced LeBlanc and played a role in the murder. The Entertainment and Leisure Software Publishers' Association (ELSPA) offered sympathy to the Pakeerah family but rejected any connection between the game and the murder. ELSPA also noted that the game was rated 18 by the British Board of Film Classification and was not intended for minors. Due to controversy, the game was removed from shelves by some vendors, including Game and Dixons. In response, Rockstar reiterated that it was intended for adults and denied any link to the murder. Media speculation of a potential ban on the game increased demand for it at physical and online retailers. Giselle Pakeerah stated her disappointment over the increased interest in the game. On July 30, 2004, American attorney Jack Thompson, an advocate against violence in video games, claimed to have warned Rockstar prior to the game's release that it could inspire copycat killings. On August 2, 2004, it was reported that the Pakeerahs had hired Thompson to represent them in a £50 million wrongful death claim against Sony Computer Entertainment (SCE) and Rockstar Games. That day, the police officially denied any link between the game and the murder, citing drug-related robbery as the motive and revealing that the game had been found in Pakeerah's bedroom, not Leblanc's as originally reported. The presiding judge placed sole responsibility with Leblanc after sentencing him to life. The Pakeerahs' case against SCE and Rockstar was dropped soon thereafter. There was renewed controversy after the announcement of Manhunt 2 in February 2007, with the Pakeerahs condemning its release. Rockstar's parent company Take-Two Interactive issued a statement that "the Judge, defense, prosecution and Leicester police" in the case had refuted any connection to the game. Jack Thompson unsuccessfully attempted to have Manhunt 2 banned, claiming that Take-Two had lied about the incident and that police were incorrect in asserting the game had belonged to Pakeerah. If you're hoping for another release, expect a shitload of backlash and fight against the game. With the graphical capabilities that we have now, the game would be deemed more violent and brutal than ever. There would be a full on war against it. So fiscally speaking, it wouldn't be a good thing for Rockstar or Take-Two to try releasing another one in the franchise. At least not until people regrow a god damn backbone.
  13. They would probably think the same thing I did the first time I saw @Rain Dew playing RDR2. I asked her what movie she was watching.
  14. I know this quote is a year late, but as I was reading the new replies, something stuck out to me. I don't know what the hell "TPM 2.0" means. Is it some kind of software? Is it some kind of hardware? Is it a rabid wombat? Is it a pierced anus? If it's software, what he hell does it do? WTF IS IT????
  15. Same. I'm currently studying for something, and that takes up the majority of my time. But I'll try to get on the board more to help get things going again. The forum is going to hit times when it seems like no one is here, and times when there's a million posts every day. it's the nature of the beast. So, I'm 100% sure it will pick up again sometime soon.
  16. FF8 I'm on what would be disc 2, and just got Garden mobile. At the moment I've been playing Triple Triad to gain cards that I need that refine into the items I need for weapon upgrades. I always take the time to do that. I can get Punishment, Ehrgeiz, and Shooting Star easily by doing this. The reason I don't go for Lionheart is because I want to keep my unique cards, thus refuse to refine Minotaur for the adamantines. Besides, I can easily just to go the beach by Dollet and get them there just as easily.
  17. I want to buy this man a drink. He speaks the brutal truth. Put them on the spot with cold hard facts in as brutal words as you can without resorting to vulgarities.
  18. I have never speed run a game, and have no plans to. It's just not something that interests me at all. I like to take my time with my games. Goofy challenges are fun to watch on YouTube, but speedrunning bores me. For example, I watched a video sometime last year of a guy who played and beat Ocarina Of Time without ever picking up a single rupee. If he did accidentally (sometimes it's just unavoidable), he would restart from his last save point. I don't remember how he got the Deku Shield without having the 40 rupees it cost, but it was intriguing to watch.
  19. The PS3 had backwards compatibility as well. The launch systems could play PS1 and PS2 games. But when running a PS2 game the system tended to overheat, so tehy released a second PS3 which was only backward compatible with PS1 games.
  20. I don't have the slightest clue how to create a video game all on my own. I don't know how to script, nor do I know where the hell I would get the hardware required to produce it. So creating a video game is way out of my feeble abilities.
  21. Hereditary and Smile were great films. Especially Smile. Some movies I would consider disturbing are Human Centipede and Don't F*ck With Cats. Don't F*ck With Cats is more of a documentary about a guy who got his kicks by literally torturing cats. Kittens mostly. I was disturbed by it then, and I'm still sickened whenever it pops up in my mind. DFWC is available on Netflix. But for the best horror movies, I just log into my Shudder account. They have the best and most obscure movies, and are almost exclusively horror, with a bit of thriller thrown in. If you have never heard of it, I highly recommend signing up for it. It only costs $5 per month. So if you're a horror freak like me, give it a shot.
  22. One thing the justice system isn't considering is that he is such a coward, he is likely to jet off to Russia, or some other place outside any kind of extradition agreement the states have. We can't extradite from a good number of countries, and he will settle in one of those. So there's a high probability that he will never face justice due tohim being a chickenshit.
  23. Zelda Links Awakening (Switch)
  24. After seeing this, they're running on fumes.
