It also Turns Out that you DO OWN DIGITAL GAMES
UleTheVee replied to UleTheVee's topic in Gaming Forum
Who even cares if you have a physical disc copy?! Didn't you read the starting post of this thread? YOU OWN THE GAME EVEN IF YOU DONT INSTALL IT ON YOUR DRIVE. Those nearly 300 games I have on my steam library are MINE even if I don't have a physical version of them -
Oof, sorry to hear man Team practice with Smash on Saturday, I go to the Smash League on Sunday, it's gonna be fun
-
Aw that sucks man... But it's still not that strange considering what happened over at the first game
-
I don't think it was a matter of taking it seriously, he literally just didn't want to lose at a game

The real question is why the hell are no FF characters in there.

Like.. Seriously, that's rough

It's a problem that only gets worse the worse your system is actually. A lot of people don't realize but plugging in a bluetooth receiver and hoping for the best is not exactly a good thing. It actually can cause some strain to a computer during the game. Not to mention, the longer the distacne is between the device and the radio receptor, the higher the input lag will be. There's just too much to take into consideration that it stops being worth it.

Are User Reviews A Reliable Metric Of A Game’s Quality?
UleTheVee replied to DylanC's topic in Gaming News
I'm going to say what I think here. I won't pretend like people know what they talk about most of the time because it's been proven many times that not even us critics know.. If critics who are supposed to know about the media they are criticizing aren't competent enough to do a good review. Then why would a random user know what they're talking about? A lot of people either tend to be consumed by their own hype and tend to be blinded by the truth. Much like how @Alyxx pointed out: Opinions change a lot and a lot of people don't take certain key aspects into consideration while making their initial judgement. So you'd think I would be more lenient towards criticism made by media outlets.. However. This is the ideal that people have begun to be drawn to when it comes to the subject of "User Reviews" or "Reviews" in general. A lot of people think that an Influencer tends to be part of someone's payroll in order to review the game, as seen below: So, what's the best conclusion someone can draw from this? Well, obviously read the reviews from someone you trust and let your own experience be the judge of whether or not you can actually enjoy the games by yourself. Users don't really know much about what they're talking about because most of the time, opinions can change and people only look at face impressions rather than something on the long run. Some professional reviewers don't take multiple audiences and the long-term gain into consideration either. As such, I always tell people to trust whoever they think will give the adequate judgement and to make a judgement of their own regardless of whatever any critic has to say. If you enjoy the game, it's a good game. Nobody will take that away from you. However, people also should learn that enjoying something doesn't make it good automatically.. That's why we have to reach a common consensus based on opinions drawn by the masses and critics alike. -
Are User Reviews A Reliable Metric Of A Game’s Quality?

You didn't. You just decided to make more claims to pass off as fact instead. Not only that but you aslo put words in my mouth yet again by stating that I thought that the AVGN was "The god of video games". Not only that but you also dodged the original question and didn't expand on it in a worthwhile manner because like I said before, the examples you showed off were purely wrong. I even challenged you with an example of my own (Sonic 06) which you also didn't respond to. So yeah, for an expansion that was pretty lackluster. -

I'm not attempting to sound superior. I'm telling you to do your research instead of making claims and passing them off as fact. I'm also glad that you dodged the first question i made.. Which was -

I just brought who was at the forefront of the community calling SF2010 shitty. Not only that but just because a game has a cult following doesn't mean it's good. Does the fact that Sonic 06 got a remake by a dedicated fanbase mean the original vanilla game is good? Definitely not. I also didn't imply that AVGN was the god of games.. So that's your opinion like how you implied I was a Nazi. I mentioned the Zelda Skyward sword argument because you said that people in the Zelda fandom liked Zelda II. Which is one of the most despised games in the series with some critics on YouTube and outlets coming out and defending it. So yeah. -

I'm aware. But people have been saying that you don't own games for quite a while until recently. -

I think the reason why people were so upset is the whole "You own a partial license and you can't resell the game you own" or something of the sort. -

A lot of console peasants and Physical purists often said that you didn't own anything in your steam library. That you were supposedly "Renting it" -

Hey bro.. I don't mind the word nazi. Bu7t see, there's a difference between someone saying the word nazi and someone implying or downright CALLING ME a Nazi. -

UleTheVee replied to DylanC's topic in Gaming News
Yeah, but they asked you about whether or not USER REVIEWS were good. Also, what are you talking about? The FF fandom consider FFVIII to be trash while critios gave it score of 90% Street Fighter 2010 is the same story, the community has torn this game apart. Not only that but the Angry Video Game Nerd was among the people who said the game was awful. Same deal with Zelda II and MKM SZ. The community at large considered these games to be godawful. What? are you going to tell me that people's favorite Zelda game was Skyward sword? I'm glad you have your own independent thoughts but if you're going to talk about common criticism, know what you're talking about. -

Alyxx is kinda right. In the PC gaming world. We refer to the people who give dumb excuses as to why "PC Gaming sucks compared to Console Gaming" as Console Peasants. Console gamers are fine in our books so long as they don't berate us for preffering PC over consoles.
