That's a valid point actually. In most games nowadays, the consequences of failure are absolutely non-existent. If I were to put a game on this list, it has to be Dark Souls. The checkpoints are few and even if you pause the game, the game itself continues so if you were getting murdered and thing you could take a break, the pause button won't save you.

I agree. It's probably why most of the players in Monster Hunter World tend to be extremely friendly because the boss fights are extremely challenging and requires a lot of teamwork.

Best Character Customization You've Ever Come Across In An MMO
killamch89 replied to killamch89's topic in Gaming Forum
That's what I've noticed. For some reason, I was expecting something with 2-D/3-D graphics but it's a good call nonetheless. -
It depends on the environment you're exploring. If it's like some of the creepy dungeons in Skyrim with traps at every turn, definitely not. If it's just roaming the landscape or checking out a brand new area with no immediate danger then it can be.

Favorite Daedric Monster/s in the Elder Scrolls Universe
killamch89 replied to killamch89's topic in Gaming Forum
The Lurkers remind me of something out of a freaking nightmare. They'd fit perfectly in any horror show - hell, they could even pass for another alien species. -
One other racing game I wish they'd make a new version of is Twisted Metal from the original PS1 & 2. It was a game where you rode around in vehicles with guns and it was a fight to the death with the last man standing being the winner.

Speaking of...I've seen that EA plans to release a VR Medal Of Honor game in the near future and it's going to be fully interactive. You can pull grenades with your teeth among other things. I might just check it out.

The Witcher 3's storyline is too long according to devs
killamch89 replied to m76's topic in Video Games
I've player the prior Witcher games and I'm going to say I do agree with you that it's a hard story to digest because there's so much going on but most people haven't read the books (the lore is extremely complicated and somewhat contradictory in some aspects). I've read a couple of chapters of the book and the amount of information feels...overwhelming but at least I learnt where some of the monsters originated. We also learn that Geralt sucks at using signs and only knows the basics...- 17 replies

I heard about this game as well but I just thought it was a bit bizarre. Using poop isn't exactly my idea of a good time whether virtual or not and most farming games kind of bore me. I'm down for action - even a bit like a turn-based rpg.

Bioware Boss & Dragon Age 4 Executive Producer Quit!
killamch89 replied to killamch89's topic in Gaming News
But EA/Bioware has never managed to properly replace the original Dragon Age team or the Mass Effect one. It's one thing to get a replacement but to get a replacement that understands the original vision is very rare. -

At my previous job, we used to play Fifa 21 on lunch breaks and when work was almost finished and it was time to go home. It was a pretty good stress reliever to be fair and it also proved that my Fifa skills didn't wane after all these years.

Do PS5 scalpers have any legitimate defense for their actions?
killamch89 replied to StaceyPowers's topic in Gaming Forum
There's no real defense of their practices because every one else is also being affected by Covid. I think most retailers need to start implementing captcha (the difficult ones) among other strategies to limit the scalper's business and make it time-consuming and ineffective. Then again, most retailers only care about the money they receive so... -
No way! I'd just wait for a couple of months until the supply catches up to the demand and purchase it for the original market price. Consoles aren't an essential item so I can do without it for a few months.

I remember I used to sign a song by Lou Bega - Mambo 5 as a kid. It wasn't until I reach my early teens that he was talking about sex. How about you guys?

Most Unusual Recipe you've ever come up with when hungry
killamch89 replied to killamch89's topic in General Chat
I'm sorry but I just fell off my chair! Thanks for the laugh. No! I want to see if someone will top that.(Highly unlikely but still...) That's more or less lemonade. The craziest meal I ever created was a mac & cheese sandwich (That's right! Mac & Cheese between two slices of bread). -
Human Revolution wasn't a reboot though. It was indeed the sequel and undebatably the best game in the series in terms of story and gameplay by many players including myself.
