Do most people not like Tetris? I always thought it was a beloved classic. I figured I'm the odd one for not getting into it.

I know some people who didn't like Tetris either so no, it's not just you.

I have to confess I never got into Tetris. It doesn't frustrate me or anything--it just fails to captivate me. It presents an interesting optimization problem though, and I suspect I'd find a technical discussion on it fascinating.

Everyone has their own personal tastes so you don't have to like it and I can see why most people wouldn't but I always liked it.

There are prophets who claim that they are god in the flesh. Is that true? Absolutely not, they are just charlatans who want to sway the masses.

But much like how we are defensive when gaming gets associated with mass shootings, we have to undersatdn that the malefactors in religion are definitely not the representatives of the morale and ethics that religion pushes.

I understand what you are saying but take into consideration that in most religions tend to try and cover up the ills of some of the people who use their powerful positions to prey on the weak and vulnerable. All that does is to convince the masses that they are more interest in preserving the image of the institution rather than dealing with the issue in a transparent manner.

I feel like Forums are better ways to get involved with other users and their opinions. Especially because it's an open space where you can choose where you can participate and under what circumstances.

    Well said!

My native is English. In primary and secondary, I learned the basis of French only understood the basics of the language to this day. As much as it's frustrating at times, it's really interesting to be taught about different ways of speaking around the world. I'm planning on advancing my knowledge and improve my french speech skills.

I had an ex that spoke French and I couldn't quite tell what she said but I thought it sounded very romantic...

Forum all the way for me. Personally, I feel a forum allows users to connect at a personal level and It also allows you to build up a community where your members can share similar interests and meet new friends online. I started running my forum on 2014 and I'm still managing it to this day, I'd highly recommend a discussion board if you have the member base.

Forums all the way although Blogs do have their uses.

I know how to speak fluently in English and a tiny bit of french. It's fascinating to learn how a language actually works.  I'm planning on taking tutoring lessons to improve my french speech as I'm thinking about re-visiting France again. Speaking in french could help me around their country.

I went to Cuba a couple times and the bit of Spanish I knew really helped me out during my time there so I agree with you about learning a new language because of travelling to countries that mainly use a particular language.

EA won't learn. They'll keep doing it until there is a law preventing predatory microtransactions or an absolutely massive backlash. They have some good game titles and series' and players will always buy microtransactions in certain games and as long as they do that, they won't change. The problem is that only a small portion of the players have to spend money to make EA massive amounts. For example, with FIFA, the YouTubers spend massive amounts of money on FIFA packs and that won't change no matter what. And because of that, casual gamers suffer.

I agree with you there and EA is the only company trying to fight the law in Belgium that is mad to regulate loot boxes. I really do want them to tank hard - they are like a cancer to the gaming industry.

Aye, Dark Souls is an apt comparison. I played it back on PS3 as well. Put about 10 hours into it but it didn’t click with me. Still, I’m willing to give it a second shot. I do love playing RPGs on the go.

Well my cousin loved the game and he is a pretty hard person to please but I agree, it didn't quite click with me either.

There was an even better one a while back before I joined this community so I couldn't share it. There was a skin that came exclusively with new PS4 consoles called Royale Bomber. But there was a controller bundle recently for £34.99 that had a PS4 controller and a code for that skin. If you didn't want the skin, a good thing to do was to sell the code on eBay for around £20 so you basically got a controller for around £14 😄

Console players get all the good things. 😭

Nice to see another ARPG coming to Ninty’s burgeoning handheld/hyrbrid platform. https://www.polygon.com/2019/1/8/18173687/dragons-dogma-dark-arisen-nintendo-switch-release-date

Nintendo has really been on fire the past year. Dragon's Dogma is a game I vaguely remember playing for the PS3 and it kind of reminds me of Dark Souls a bit but that is mainly due to certain gameplay mechanics.

In general, I am not a huge fan of puzzles in video games, but there are exceptions. I really enjoyed Myst back in the day on PC. While it could be frustrating, most of the puzzles were fairly interesting, and the settings/story were fantastic.

What are some awesome puzzle games (new or old) on any platform which y’all can recommend?

Tetris and I know it is an absurdly simple game but it was the only puzzle game I liked.

It's clear why I'm getting annoyed... I'm trying to be positive and not be super down on the game. Like I said above, I ain't played it. I just don't like being super negative, especially about something I haven't played yet. It could surprise us.

Like I've already said, I'm disappointed that it's a mobile game. However, there are some AMAZING mobile games like FTL, Monument Valley etc.

It could have something hidden up its sleeve that *could* blow us away.

There's nothing wrong with being HOPEFUL for a game.

Being constantly questioned about the same thing is incredibly boorish and rude....

    Ok, I get your point.

I think the two DLCs for Witcher 3 were the best I've played as far as how much content they added and the quality of that content.  Frozen Wilds for Horizon was also great.

My one gripe with playing witcher 3 is the optimization and while I do love the story and gameplay, it causes my machine to overheat on ultra settings.

I don't mind a few, too many can get tedious.  I like when they are worked in well and used for world building, like they give you an opportunity to learn about the town you are in or the NPC who assigned it.

Or a grindable quest to make some loot to buy acceptable gear and equipment so that you can survive the initial stages of a game.

    Mine is Little Caesar's.

It's cheap and their pizzas do fill you iup pretty well. My second favorite would have to be Pizza Hut because of the fact that they have pretty good pizza tastes.

There is a good pizza joint near my apartment but they tend to be very unreliable when it comes to delivering pizzas on time and their customer service is garbage. However, they do make pretty good pizzas.
