I agree that the AI is pretty clunky to be honest. Also, the servers tend to randomly crash at times especially when lots of players are online simultaneously - but it is still a fun game to play.
I'm not sure who was the genius at Bethesda that thought this was a magnificent idea but you cannot pause the single-player campaign.
Hence why I said the AI co-op partner. Duke Nukem Forever is mediocre and Wolfenstein is far worse than that.
We know that but the point @The Blackangel was trying to make is that the reason FF7 was getting a remake was because of the popularity and success of the original game.
There's also star citizens which is a planet-travelling game where you can fight other players all over the universe. The problem is that the game has been in development for close to 6 years and shows no signs of being released anytime soon.
You can google the requirements of FTL and see if your computer specs meet the minimum requirements. If it does then the game should run smoothly on your laptop.
I think it also has to do with how well the objects and colors/textures of said objects in a gaming world complement and contrast each other. Also, the addition of well-placed landmark which has some significance to the lore can also add to the game's visual.
It wasn't the story that real led to the initial failure of Final Fantasy 14 - it was the fact that the developers focused heavily on graphical quality to the detriment of the gameplay.
