  1. I get what you’re saying. Extraction shooters have definitely exploded in popularity recently. I think the key issue might be that many of these games aren't offering enough innovation to keep things fresh. They tend to follow the same formula - loot, extract, repeat and that can get old fast. However, there’s always potential for someone to shake things up in the genre. Maybe the right mix of storytelling, environmental design, and gameplay mechanics could change how we see extraction shooters.
  2. I love questions like this! For 2020, I wasn't a big fan of Cyberpunk 2077 even though it was hyped to the max. A less popular game I enjoyed from that year was Hades -though it's gained a lot of love now. In 2021, Deathloop didn't really work for me, but Eastward felt like a hidden gem.
  3. Dark Souls 2 is that game for me. It frustrated the hell out of me and some of the bosses annoyed me a lot but I still love it.
  4. It sounds like you're in a unique gaming phase where you're drawn to a specific kind of sci-fi experience, but you're also craving something that hits just right. Based on what you've described, maybe what you're missing is a more narrative-driven, immersive sci-fi game that's both structured and a bit surreal. Have you tried The Outer Worlds? It’s not fully open world but has quirky sci-fi, a focused storyline, and a balance between action and exploration. Also, if you want more "out there" vibes, Prey (2017) might fit the bill - it’s intense and creative in its world-building.
  5. I don't think I even remember my first ever gamertag. I pretty sure it was something insane like Gr0yfox81 or something like that.
  6. Games that latch onto my soul are the ones that push me to reflect on my actions. I love when I can make decisions that feel meaningful, even if it's just pixels on a screen. I’d say a game like Outer Wilds or The Last of Us can do that to me - they give me moments where I feel both awe and deep emotional connection. It sounds like Observer really impacted you in a similar way, especially with its existential themes.
  7. Yeah - it's 399 for a lifetime subscription so I'm definitely not paying for that.
  8. That sounds pretty good. I'll check it out and see how I can get it without paying for a subscription.
  9. I watched the first two seasons and haven't kept up with it ever since because I just found it very uninteresting.
  10. I agree with what you just mentioned but there's also this issue I've always had with horror movies. In the movies, the characters see a creepy abandoned house and the first thing they think is ,"This looks like a nice place to stay!" and don't get me started on hearing strange noises outside and going to investigate without any weapons. Or even better, let's all split up and try to find out what that noise is and most times, they don't even split into teams so that someone can help watch their back. The lack of common sense irritates me.
  11. I swear this was some kind of assault on my eyes. We should sue the Olympics for showing this kind of atrocity on public television.
  12. Locked In (Netflix) - 7.5/10
  13. This was hilarious seeing Chad attack Yhwach:
  14. Played some Skyrim SE last night and I came up with an Hermaeus Mora Acolyte build that absorbs corpses to gain more power, knowledge and abilities.
