  1. Gaming itself isn't an issue at all. I used to play games such as GTA Vice City and San Andreas, Mortal Kombat and Twisted Metal(for ps1) and it didn't distort or in any sense affect me that much. Parents need to establish clear limits as to how long they play as well as to educate their children that the things they witness in these games are wrong and overly exaggerated. The parenting of this generation is pretty poor - the things I see most kids and teens are able to get away with nowadays is mind-blowing.

  2. For me, it's definitely ethernet because the connection will always be stable and consistent. Wi-fi can be disrupted by a good number of machines in your house such as the microwave. To extend it's range you will need a wifi expander or several wi-fi expanders if your home is huge. Yes, the lack of mobility is a disadvantage but considering that I mainly game on my desktop which is also stationary, I don't that much of an issue.

For me it's Clash of Clans. I have been playing this game for a lot of years - maybe 4 or 5 with some pauses. But in general this is my favourite mobile game.

I have heard about this game before but I've never really tried it. Could you tell me what is its most enjoyable features?

In relation to the style, I also think you have to be slightly smart with how you play as well. Whilst, you can play well by having good reactions and being in good control of the actual controls in the game, you have to be smart with how you play. Don't just shoot at someone when you see them if they are far away. Use your head, try to get closer and then start shooting. You have to think about when and when not to shoot.

Excellent points and also you have to try predicting your opponent's moves.

    Any advice on cold-pitching?

Find the correct department that can utilize your skillset and when messaging them, try not to sound desperate and also I forget to mention this before but have some kind of side-project that you do that shows off your skillset. For example, I post small animation videos on FB almost every day ( except when I am extremely busy like now.). It can serve as a type of portfolio which will benefit you. Most importantly, don't take the rejection too personally and don't get discouraged - take it as a learning process.

Not only will it have the disadvantages like not having the publisher support that other developers have, I presume that it will be extremely expensive. There's no way a small developer (compared to Sony, Microsoft and even Nintendo) will have the resources to cheaply make a console with such big promises. The prices for this console will be absurd especially when compared to the next generation of consoles which will probably have similar prices to what the PS4 and Xbox One had.

Very good points as well and they will have to send a ton-load more money on marketing because they do not have the publicity and reputation that the Big Three have. As a matter of fact, if Sega was to make a console right now, they would probably outsell the Mad Box console just on their reputation of making consoles in the '90s so, I am not that confident that they will even be able to compete with the Big Three.

  7. My current platforms are a custom-built desktop, a gaming laptop(although I use it for work mainly, I hardly game on it.), a tablet and on very rare occasions my cell phone. I have been a gamer since I was around 2-3 years old and my dad got me into gaming when he bought me the original Nintendo.

That's an amazing story. Something like that would be close to my worst nightmare. I imagine that recovering from something like that and evolving would do a lot to boost your confidence. Now you know you can rely on yourself to adapt.

What were some of the changes you made to how you do business which helped you start over successfully?

I started using better software for animation, accounting etc. and I was a bit bolder in my approach like messaging Youtubers, companies like Google etc. I also stopped paying for sub-standard services such as: Dropbox.

Most valuable life lesson learned in 2018?

The lesson I learned was sometimes you have to take it to the chin. - About March this year, my original website and a couple other accounts got hacked and taken out by a hacker - leaving my business I had been building for close to a decade in ruins. I had to take a couple months off and just had to re-invent my way of doing business and incredibly, I bounced back within 3 months after starting to do animation again in August. Something like that would have completely destroyed most people and that was my initial response but in reality that hacker did me a favor - he/she made me re-evaluate everything I was doing up to that point and made me even more hungry and determined.

Practise. I mean, you can try checking out some tips and tricks online but ultimately it comes down to the player. A lot of these "tips" are from professionals or semi decent players that are already good at the game so these tips work for them. If your aim isn't great, then those tips are going to work. You have to keep playing and practising to improve.

You also have to develop your own style of playing. I find that by developing my own style, it gives me a competitive edge where my moves are unpredictable to my opponents and I end up destroying them.

Happy New Yer @killamch89 and @UleTheVee! Killa, Hope this works out for you. How do you plan on reaching out to more customers or clients? What's your freelancing business about and what are your current POS - Monthly sales? What's a realistic regular income you are now hoping for?

I am a Freelance Animator/video editor and I just go out and find clients via sites like craigslist etc. or message the media department of a company with a proposal. I work by contracts that I draft up and I am hoping to break the $8k US barrier this year.

  13. lol. That'll be like in the next 3-4 or God knows when. By that time Sony and Microsoft would have likely developed consoles that can play at 60 fps at 4k resolution so it is just an empty promise. On top of that, they lack the publisher support that Sony, Microsoft, and Nintendo have so I am not getting my hopes up at all.

I can agree up to a point. I find it very enjoyable with friends... I think the sole purpose one should buy it is to play it with their friends, otherwise, it might get both frustrating and boring.

It was just a cash grab by Bethesda and a lot of the things they promised would be in the game, they haven't delivered on. It is one of the reasons I have really started to dislike Bethesda - they put out unfinished games and depend on their modding community to patch the problems while charging you a premium fee for the game.

What's your computer brand name? Would you recommend the setup? How much did you pay in-total and where could I buy a platform like yours for a cheap price? I'm looking to upgrade my current machine.

I built my machine from scratch and yes, I would recommend the setup although I am going to change my setup to the next set of AMD processors and graphics cards that will be announced at CES. I had bought the parts individually and it took me one year to accumulate them all so I would have to check how much it cost me at the time but a pre-built budget PC from a company like Cyberpower PC will run you something like $700-800 US. You can find discounts on the parts on Ebay which would cost a bit less so I would recommend building from scratch. There are plenty of tutorials on Youtube that can show how to do it easily and effectively - that's how I learnt.

  16. I have never really tried gaming on Linux but from what I can tell, Linux lacks a lot of the integration that Windows has when it comes to drivers for certain graphics cards so I wouldn't consider the notion.

Hopefully, although it's probably just a lot of noise from the various governments. I seriously doubt much action will be taken around the world. I'm not 100% sure if it Belgium but I know only one country has so far done some things to try and stop the microtransactions in games. Unfortunately for us, these developers won't take this lightly and will just come up with other ways to make money or spend less time developing the games.

Hawali also came up with legislation for loot boxes and few other states are drafting up legislation for them as well. I do believe other countries are doing their own investigations and if their research proves micro-transaction items like loot boxes are a form of gambling, I do think the Government will come down pretty hard on them.
