It does remind me of the old Rayman games on the PS1. It has that vibe and graphical style.

I am somewhat familiar with this anime series and I must say that I like the graphical art style. It really does suit this game well - as for the gameplay, I'm not sure what to tell you because there was hardly any in the trailer.

How Does Your Cultural Background Shape Your Music Taste?
killamch89 replied to killamch89's topic in Music
I grew up in a violent neighborhood so hip hop, dancehall, Reggae and Rap all resonated with me from a young age. At some point, Rock and Roll, Soca and RnB got added to the mix as well. -

We all have that list of Xbox games we’ve been itching to play but just haven’t gotten around to. What games are on your must-play list? Is it a matter of time, cost, or just never finding the right moment?

If you could only play one Xbox exclusive game for the rest of your life, which one would it be and why? Think about gameplay, story, replay value, and how it resonates with you. Would you choose a classic like Halo: Combat Evolved, an RPG like Fable, or perhaps a newer title like Forza Horizon 5?

Do you think your perspective changes based on circumstances, or is it a fundamental part of who you are? Share any experiences that shaped your view whether optimistic or pessimistic. How do you navigate situations where it’s hard to see the “full” side?

Playing with friends or strangers, which is more fun?

I much rather play with friends to be honest. With strangers, you never quite know what you're going to get when in a random lobby with them. -
Imagine your favorite games developed in a different genre
killamch89 replied to Reality vs Adventure's topic in Gaming Forum
Another thing I’d love to see is the original Halo turned into a deep RPG. Imagine Master Chief leveling up, building relationships, and making moral decisions. Your choices could influence the entire fate of the war with the Covenant. It’d be like Mass Effect but with even more space politics -
He totally deserves that too. I think I remember that whole thing with Faze but it was vague. And then he had the nerve to cry on camera about making an "honest" mistake.

What ifs scenarios completely changing a game
killamch89 replied to Reality vs Adventure's topic in Gaming Forum
That’s an awesome idea! Mortal Kombat could blend its brutal combat with RPG-style exploration. Imagine finding hidden lore in each realm, interacting with NPCs from the different factions, and even making choices that affect alliances. It could really expand the MK universe in an exciting way. -
10 Video Games We All Played WAY Too Young
killamch89 replied to The Blackangel's topic in Gaming Forum
You know what confuses me about this list? Why would Zelda be on it. It's probably the least violent or graphic of the games listed in the video. -
This is such a fascinating part of gaming culture. Before voice acting became more standard, we were all left to our own devices to figure out pronunciation, so it’s no wonder there’s so much variation. For example, ‘Ultimecia’ has a Latin-inspired root (ultima meaning ‘last’), which could lend itself to multiple interpretations. And with Seifer, it’s likely influenced by ‘cipher,’ hence the hard ‘S’ sound. It’s interesting to see how regional dialects and personal experience shape the way we say these names.

I completely agree that storytelling plays a pivotal role in games, adding layers of meaning and emotional engagement. A well-crafted narrative can elevate even simple mechanics into something profound. Games like The Last of Us and Red Dead Redemption draw players in, not just with action but through the deep, relatable characters and intricate worlds they create. It's fascinating how games have evolved to allow players to impact these stories directly, offering a level of immersion that books or films can’t match.

Yeah, I remember those days! It's wild how video games have always been an easy target for moral panic. Mortal Kombat and GTA definitely shook things up back then, but I always found it interesting how games like Zelda and Castlevania were pulled into the same conversation.
-
I also had a similar experience with a game called Limbo. While it technically has an ending, it left me with the same feeling of "Is that it?" It almost feels like a betrayal of your time and money, especially when the devs leave it feeling unfinished.

Well, this is a reflection of the current economy where companies are closing studios left and right because of the cost to keep them running while they aren't bringing in adequate income. I was curious what they were working on - I wonder if that project will be passed to one of their other studios.
