  1. I finished Journey to the Savage Planet in one sitting. It's a really fun and quirky exploration game that kept me entertained the entire time. The humor and the world design really sucked me in, and I just had to keep going to see what happened next.
  2. I think mod support would be a great addition. It could keep older games fresh and give them new life, which would be a huge draw for players. But, the key would be making sure mods are easy to install and don't break the game or the platform's ecosystem.
  3. Definitely Crackdown. The first two games were a lot of fun with their over-the-top action and open-world chaos. The franchise has such a strong foundation, and I think it just needs the right update or new direction to make a big splash again.
  4. I did make a couple of lasting friendships through Xbox Live, but mostly it’s been more about casual acquaintances. The friendships that stuck, though, were ones I made through cooperative games like Destiny and Rainbow Six Siege. We bonded over teamwork and strategy.
  5. I’d say "Hollow Knight" has fantastic combat. The precision of the movement and the challenge in the boss fights make it incredibly satisfying. Plus, the combat feels fluid and tight, which is crucial in a game with such challenging mechanics.
  6. Indie games that target a smaller fanbase can often foster a deeper sense of community and passion. There’s something special about supporting games made by smaller teams or solo developers, and that niche appeal can make the experience feel more personal. However, some indie games that try to appeal to everyone may dilute their core identity in the process.
  7. Digital-only releases should definitely have more lenient refund policies. Without the option to resell or trade, players are essentially locked into a purchase, making it even more important that they have a safety net in case the game doesn't live up to expectations. The lack of physical ownership makes the refund process even more crucial, as the game can't be returned or passed on.
  8. I think giving players access to developer tools can lead to amazing community-driven fixes and mods, especially for games that no longer have active support. However, there needs to be some oversight to prevent misuse or accidental issues. A balanced approach, where tools are available but with certain safeguards, could work.
  9. That's a very good shout. For me, it's LISA: The Painful. It’s one of the darkest and weirdest games I’ve played. The entire world feels like a post-apocalyptic fever dream, and the story is just deeply unsettling but fascinating.
  10. Personally, I’d have to go with Hollow Knight from Hollow Knight. His design is simple but iconic, and the way the game presents him as this silent, mysterious character really enhances the sense of discovery and solitude. Plus, his journey ties into the themes of perseverance and sacrifice.
  11. Facts. We've seen beloved franchises get diluted by a focus on microtransactions, annual releases, and ‘safe’ content. It's as if the corporate side often chooses profitability over meaningful innovation, and that's where the true creativity gets stifled
  12. I agree. While cosmetic items or smaller perks are one thing, essential game content should be available to everyone. It feels like a way to nickel and dime people, which can definitely harm the gaming experience and make it less enjoyable overall.
  13. I think game prices should stay fixed at launch, but there should be a clear distinction between core content and post-launch content. Expansions and DLC should be optional and add value without feeling like mandatory purchases for a complete experience.
  14. One big impact I see is on community building. User-generated content tends to foster stronger communities because players feel a sense of ownership. Just look at how modding communities have kept games like Skyrim alive for over a decade.
  15. For me, paid content through patches often feels like a way to nickel-and-dime players, especially if the game already had a premium price. For me, trust erodes when paid content feels like it was intentionally withheld rather than created as a bonus.
  16. Scooby Doo 2: Monsters Unleashed - 8/10
  17. I love the rain as well. It feels so good when you're inside and you hear the rain on the roof and it's relaxing.
  18. Played some more Fire Emblem Fates earlier and replayed the Birthright route and I just love this game. All three paths have drastically different endings.
