Is there a game for you that isn't "just a game?"

Skyrim is life and without it, Talos will curse thee! 🤣 -
Lines from video games you say constantly IRL
killamch89 replied to StaceyPowers's topic in Video Games
I remembered this one line and I think it was from Bioshock(I have never really played the game before but this line struck me) - "A man chooses; A slave obeys". -
I always wondered what Skyrim would be like as a movie but then one of my favorite YouTubers made a fan movie.

I'm kind of waiting on Cyberpunk 2077 to be released because it looks like a really quality game although they are having some issues at the moment. They are taking their time with it so they can release a fully functional game which I fully support.

If I had that weapon, I'd just resort to knifing people if I can't find another gun in time...I mean it seems you stand a better chance trying to engage someone in close quarters combat than using that thing.

Home Alone - 10/10 (been binge-watching older movies since last week).

I'd never try something like that although I have skateboarding down a hill via the sidewalks. Spoiler Alert: I dislocated my shoulder and got quite a bit of bruises.

VGR Weekly Recap #9: Death Stranding, Gaming Disorder, and More...
killamch89 replied to Matt Morgans's topic in Gaming Forum
I agree with you completely - I'm not sure what Kojima is going for here because I have way more questions. Being that Kojima is the creator of the Metal Gear Series, I'll tend to give the game a chance because Kojima usually delivers. He tends to be able to find a good balance between gameplay and storytelling so I won't jump to conclusions just yet. Another thing we are guaranteed is that the game will be completely functional from Day one. -
I strongly disagree because gaming especially online allows you to socialize a lot more without being judged or subjected to social prejudice. The issue is when gaming is your main avenue of social interaction, then you may have issues interacting with people face-to-face.

As long as it is playable and flows smoothly without any stuttering, then I don't care about the framerate. It's one of those things I feel is overtly prioritized when 60 fps is all that is required for almost every game currently.

I am kind of familiar with the ARk games (never played them myself but know of them) but I didn't know about PixArk. I look forward to hearing the interviews because you always make quality content.

Skyrim does the same thing especially in dungeons but it isn't quite as well done though...

Contact customer support for help and also try to go through some of the forums online like the nexusmods Skyrim community or Reddit to see if you can find a solution to your issue.

Alien Isolation is a great survival/horror game because you had to pretty much had to deal with enemies that adapted to your habits throughout the entire game (Aliens). The music and ambiance are unreal especially when you are detected and the Aliens start chasing you.

Video games that were banned in your house when you were a kid
killamch89 replied to StaceyPowers's topic in Video Games
That was my household as well and thank the heavens for that. -
How do you name your open world characters?
killamch89 replied to StaceyPowers's topic in Video Games
It depends on the type of game, type of character and sometimes, it depends on my mood. For example, if I'm trying to troll someone in-game I'll add part of their name "killatrash" or something along those lines. My vampiric battlemage's name in Skyrim is Drakul. -
Precisely why I dislike the current mobile gaming industry. It had the potential to be great but now it is just a grim reminder of what happens if we don't do anything about the ridiculous amount of microtransactions in-game.
-
I dislike battle-royale games as well because they are so unoriginal for the most part. Fortnite at least adds some ridiculous gaming feature such as airplanes but most of the rest are straight copy and paste. As for trends this year, It seems to be unfinished games with patches to fix the game after release - just look at Fallout 76 and Anthem.
-
Broken Sword: The Shadow Of The Templars for the GBA and subsequent sequels are an absolute joy to play and I usually hate these kinds of games. It has a crazy plot that starts off with a simple murder but turns into a crazy conspiracy that involves World Leaders among other things. I implore you to play this game because you will come away quite satisfied.

"Never should have come here!" - Skyrim

Yeah and most of the time, you tend to miss. Out of all the two-handed weapons in any games I can remember playing, It is the most pointless one. That is a pretty horrible weapon but I'm not surprised an EA game would have such a ridiculously useless weapon. You'd have to be like Vash Stampede from Trigun or Bullseye from Daredevil - both of whom possess God-like accuracy with projectile weapons to kill anyone with it and you'd have to mainly aim for your opponent's head and neck. I bet those pellets spread out the further you are from your opponent which makes it extremely useless.

How long does it take you to adjust to a new game?
killamch89 replied to StaceyPowers's topic in Video Games
That's one of my caveats with Skyrim's caves - they are extremely linear most times. I'd like to get lost in a cave just one time...It away from the excitement of exploring caves.
