I used to sell Yu-Gi-Oh cards when I was in high school. I made about $800 in three months but spent the money on clothes (oh - the naivety of youth).

What's a Tumblr (sarcasm)? -
Games with the most innovative or unique mechanics
killamch89 replied to StaceyPowers's topic in Video Games
The Nemesis system from Shadow Of Mordor is pretty unique in that the ranks of the enemy army constantly changes throughout. Sometimes lower ranked ones killed off the generals for example and took their place. -
Currently working on my Skyrim Mod and making some good progress.

Abilities in games you ignore because they're annoying in some way
killamch89 replied to StaceyPowers's topic in Video Games
Illusion in vanilla Skyrim is very useless. Most of the skills only work on enemies up to level 30 - after that they are useless. -
Stupidly obvious things developers neglect

What game are you talking about and on what system? -
The Warhammer in Skyrim is the most useless weapon known to man. If the tip of the weapon doesn't connect, you will hardly do any damage at all - on top of that, swing speed is ridiculously slow and outside of power attacking, it is quite useless.

They are far more powerful than the current line of Intel processors and are cheaper too. On top of that, you won't have to be dealing with the hyperthreading exploits like Zombie among others.

Should microtransactions and loot boxes be banned?
killamch89 replied to StaceyPowers's topic in Gaming Forum
They should be completely banned out of existence. Loot Boxes and Microtransactions are the reason we end up with these unfinished games in the first place. -
Off the top of my head, I did fully complete GTA 3, Vice City, San Andreas, 4 and 5, Ratchet and Clank among a few others.

I'm going to say that Mortal Kombat Trilogy was my favorite fighting game of all time because the fighting mechanics, especially for combos, was so fluent.

I also mentioned the same thing some weeks back and he is bringing a lot of negative publicity to Gearbox Studios which could have an impact if this is continuous.

I'm also under the impression it is most likely Hammerfell but who knows?

WHO now officially lists "gaming disorder" as a disease
killamch89 replied to StaceyPowers's topic in Gaming Forum
The description is too vague - I can tell the requisite research wasn't done because the variety of gamers is too vast for this definition of "gaming disorder" to properly identify which individuals fall under this category. -
The plot looks ridiculously complex - I feel like even when you finish the game, you won't be able to completely understand it either. The visuals are amazing and this is a Kojima (creator of Metal Gear Franchise) production so I expect the story to be very good and full of plot twists as well as great fighting mechanics.

I look for a solid side story or addition to the main plot and unique characters/game features that add to the original game world. I also like seeing the alternative perspectives of villains in a game - all at a reasonable price.
-
Bioshock and TLOU have way more freedom than the aforementioned games though - I love a brilliant story but it must be balanced with some amount of freedom and action.
-
Well, to be fair, I did rush through RDR2 because I was interested in how the story ended.

Dude goes to jail for murder after losing game.
killamch89 replied to Jerlene's topic in Gaming News
It's true - this isn't anything new under the sun either. This has been around since the 90s and doesn't look that perspective is going to change anytime soon.
