  1. Non-linear storytelling has become a popular technique in films, with movies jumping back and forth in time or presenting events out of order. Some people love how it adds complexity and depth to the narrative, while others feel it can confuse or distract from the story. How do you feel about it? Do you think non-linear storytelling enhances a film, or do you prefer a more straightforward narrative?
  2. I’ve always wondered whether watching a movie in IMAX is worth it compared to the standard 2D experience. Some people swear by the larger-than-life visuals and sound, but others argue that 2D offers a more comfortable and focused viewing experience. Do the extra effects in IMAX enhance the movie for you, or do you prefer the simplicity of 2D?
  3. We all have those movies that get trashed by critics or have a cult following for all the wrong reasons, but somehow, they hit different for us. Whether it's the quirky characters, an underrated performance, or just pure nostalgia, what’s a film that most people can’t stand but you still adore?
  4. I’ve noticed more TV shows lately that break the fourth wall, like Fleabag and The Office. Some people love it for the humor and engagement, while others feel it takes them out of the experience. What’s your take? Do you enjoy it when characters talk directly to the audience, or do you think it disrupts the immersion? Any shows you think do it really well (or really badly)?
  5. Caribbean music has undeniably shaped global pop culture, from reggae's rise with Bob Marley to the influence of dancehall and soca on modern genres like hip-hop and pop. Artists like Rihanna, Sean Paul, and Shaggy have brought Caribbean sounds to the mainstream, and we hear its echoes in today's chart-topping hits. Do you think this influence has grown over time? How do you see Caribbean music impacting the future of pop culture?
  6. With technology advancing, video game music has come a long way from 8-bit chiptunes to full orchestral scores. Do you think the shift towards more cinematic, orchestral soundtracks enhances the gaming experience, or do you miss the simpler, iconic tunes from older games? How do you feel about the use of licensed music in modern games, and where do you think video game music is heading in the future?
  7. I'm always in awe of singers who can effortlessly hit both high and low notes. Who are some musicians you admire for their impressive vocal range or technical ability?
  8. Music has always been a powerful tool for conveying emotions and messages, but when used in political campaigns, it can be a double-edged sword. Does it enhance a candidate's message or manipulate emotions to sway voters? How do you feel about songs chosen for rallies or ads? Are they effective or just another marketing tactic?
  9. I’m curious about your experiences with long music events - concerts, festivals, etc. What's the longest music show you've attended, and how did it compare to your expectations? Did the duration feel worth it, or did it drag? Would you recommend it to others, or would you rather have shorter events next time?
  10. Totally agree with you! Jak & Daxter holds such a special place in gaming history, and it’s a shame the series has been dormant for so long. With the success of Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart, I feel like there’s definitely room for a Jak & Daxter revival. Even if Naughty Dog isn’t involved, another studio could bring a fresh take while staying true to the original. AstroBot’s nods to classic Sony IPs give me hope we might see something someday.
  11. I’d say it met my expectations, but it didn’t completely exceed them. The adaptive triggers and haptic feedback are amazing, especially in games like Astro’s Playroom, but I think the battery life could be better. Still, it’s a huge leap forward from the DualShock 4 in terms of innovation and feel.
  12. For me, the God of War series stands out as the definitive PlayStation exclusive. The evolution of Kratos as a character, from a rage-fueled demigod to a father navigating his past, is unmatched in gaming. The 2018 reboot elevated the series with its Norse mythology and deeper storytelling, blending incredible visuals with emotional depth. The gameplay especially the Leviathan Axe mechanics set a new standard for action games.
  13. Personally, I have tried it, but it didn’t really click for me. I found it awkward to use, especially in slower games like The Last of Us. I think it depends on the type of games you play and how you hold the controller.
  14. Same here. I think the next big PlayStation exclusive will be a new IP, possibly from one of their lesser-known studios. PlayStation has been great at taking risks with fresh ideas (like Ghost of Tsushima before it launched), and I’d love to see a bold sci-fi or fantasy game come out of left field.
  15. It was a cool idea, but honestly, the execution left a lot to be desired. The browser was slow, clunky, and didn’t handle modern web pages well even back then. YouTube was borderline unusable without some workarounds. I mostly stuck to gaming and media playback, which the PSP excelled at, but the browsing felt more like a gimmick than a feature I actually used.
  16. Same here. I’ve also got the HyperX Cloud II, and I’ve been loving it. The sound is crisp, and it’s comfortable enough for marathon gaming sessions. The mic’s decent for talking with friends, though I’ve never used it for anything professional. I’ve had mine for over three years now, and it’s held up great - no real issues other than a bit of wear on the ear cups.
  17. For me, it’s Heavy Rain. Finding out that Scott Shelby, the private investigator, was the Origami Killer the whole time was such a jaw-dropping moment. It recontextualized everything I thought about his character and made me replay the game just to pick up on all the subtle hints I missed.
  18. The theory that Journey and Shadow of the Colossus share a universe also blew my mind.
  19. For me, it’s Carmelita Fox. She’s such an interesting character because she’s constantly walking the line between antagonist and ally. Her dynamic with Sly is packed with tension, but also mutual respect, and that makes her role in the story so compelling. Plus, her determination and no-nonsense attitude balance out Sly’s charm and playfulness perfectly.
  20. LOL! I knew I had too much of my mum's christmas cake. What I meant to write was in reference to Zelda's A Link To The Past. The house with the unique roof design in Ocarina of Time’s Mabe Village is a direct reference to the same location in A Link to the Past. It was appreciation of the earlier game by the devs and highlighting the connection between the two games. I knew something was off when I left my PS5 controller in the fridge yesterday. She always puts too much rum in this cake.
  21. Agreed. I don't mind historical accuracy but if I wanted an interactive history lesson, you can sign up for those online. Throwing different POV of an event with slight tweaks here and there can make more historically accurate games entertaining.
  22. Same here. I even have a permadeath mod on Skyrim for certain playthroughs - it makes them far more challenging. It's like my liking of games like Dark Souls and Elden Ring, I hate the inability to pause the game AT ALL. But I like how challenging it is even if it frustrates you at times.
  23. I would also go with Zelda Ocarina of time - it's a game that is timeless and can still bring you lots of joy. Plus you can encounter things that you hadn't noticed in your previous playthroughs.
  24. I agree. Gaming should be made to cater to everyone, no matter your level of commitment.
  25. Skyrim, Fallout 4, GTA 5, FF8, Metal Gear Solid and DMC 5. Those are the games that I could write whole lectures on.
