  1. I'd have to absolutely agree. The sound design in Halo always created an immersive ambience which really pulls you in.
  2. Mostly places like Facebook Marketplace, Craigslist or Ebay or some other online platforms.
  3. I’d argue that gaming isn't a waste of time because it offers more than just reaction time improvements. It fosters problem-solving, teamwork in multiplayer games, and even critical thinking in strategy or RPG games. Plus, everyone deserves leisure time that makes them happy.
  4. It started out as a hobby for men so its not surprising that it's still full of men. Secondly, most women aren't interested in hardcore gaming unlike most men. They might play things like Flappy Birds and other casual games but nothing more than that and not for extended periods of times either.
  5. I completely agree. A good gaming community can elevate the whole experience. I think what makes it even better is when the community has clear rules and active moderation to ensure respect and inclusion. It’s amazing how platforms like Discord help gamers connect not just during the game but outside of it too, forming real friendships.
  6. Microtransactions in their current form feel unfair, especially when they’re tied to pay-to-win mechanics or gambling-like loot boxes. Gaming is meant to be an escape, but these practices often create pressure to spend money to stay competitive.
  7. Resident Evil 7 and Madison caused me to pause the game many times just because of how scary they were!
  8. For me, beating the Nameless King in Dark Souls 3 after countless tries definitely stands out for me. I almost quit several times, but the satisfaction of finally timing every dodge and landing that last hit was unmatched. It’s one of those moments where you feel unstoppable until the next challenge, of course.
  9. PS2 SNES PS1 N64 Xbox Sega Saturn Xbox 360 NES
  10. Yes, I’ve tried a few. Aside from the Wii, I’ve also played games like Beat Saber on VR. It’s an intense workout while being super fun. Motion-based gaming has come such a long way.
  11. Absolutely. Video games can develop a wide range of skills. For example, action games are often linked to improved reaction time and hand-eye coordination. Strategy games like Civilization or StarCraft enhance critical thinking and resource management. Meanwhile, cooperative multiplayer games promote teamwork, communication, and adaptability. It’s fascinating how different genres focus on developing different abilities.
  12. It's exciting to see Nintendo fully acquire Monolith Soft. The partnership has already resulted in some amazing games like Xenoblade Chronicles, and this could open the door for even more ambitious projects.
  13. If you’re into comics and haven’t tried X-Men Legends I & II, you’re missing out. They’re excellent RPG-style games with co-op and a huge roster of iconic mutants. Another great one is The Punisher (2005) - a gritty, action-packed game with some brutal mechanics that feels true to the comics. Lastly, Ultimate Spider-Man deserves a mention -it’s like playing through a comic panel by panel, with Venom as a playable character.
  14. I agree with Battle Royale - at one point, I used to play Fortnite all the time but then I started to dislike it and any other game of that genre and having to shell out extra money for battle passes every "season' made me dislike it even more.
  15. Was playing some Fire Emblem Shadow Dragon for the DS today and I enjoyed it! Now I remember why this was one of my favorite Fire Emblem games with Marth in it. Ironically, also one of my favorite Smash Characters as well.
  16. I normally look at walkthroughs only after I've finished the game to see what I might've missed. Otherwise, I don't use them - I prefer to figure out things on my own.
  17. With Microsoft's acquisition of Bethesda, the gaming world was shaken. While it promises exclusive titles like Starfield and The Elder Scrolls VI for Xbox and PC, some are questioning whether this move benefits gamers or just shifts the balance in the console wars. Did Microsoft make the right decision in acquiring such a massive studio?
