  1. I totally agree - Spec Ops is so underrated, it's not even funny. It's one of the first games that really made me reconsider just killing every NPC in sight and that White Phosphorus scene really took me aback. Mind you, in Fallout games I've used dozens of nukes to wipe out the Fallout NPCs and I couldn't care less. I wish more modern games were as well written.
  2. Animal Crossing is a great shout - It never came to mind because I've only played one or two games.
  3. Agreed - I usually wait for the review of games before I buy any games. The last time I pre-ordered a game, I still regret that decision to this day.
  4. As long as videogames have been around, the media has always been trying to blame them for a lot of shortcomings in society - Politicians always try to blame videogames for violence when 99.9% of gamers never re-enact in real life what they did in games. If that were the case, we wouldn't shoot up schools, we'd end the world and everything in it. Almost everything in this video is so overtly exaggerated and the worst part is, you have brain dead idiots that'd readily believe anything on a Youtube video.
  5. Used to but I haven't in almost a decade - I miss gaming magazines too with all kinds of cool game exclusive cheat codes among other content but sadly, that ship has run its course.
  6. The Nintendo one is kind of mandatory for downloading games to the Switch and having online access in most titles. Gamepass gives you a whole host of games for a relatively affordable price per month. I don't use EA Play for obvious reasons and if Ubisoft or any other of those companies have one, I still wouldn't get it either.
  7. ummm...GTA npcs can be aggressive for no reason at all - just look how they run you over when trying to cross the road. These are all good shouts - I haven't played Fable in quite some time so it didn't cross my mind and Pokemon has a lot of friendly people outside of the antagonists like Team Rocket and even they can be somewhat friendly.
  8. I heard that Minecraft with mods is where the real fun begins...
  9. I mean they did purchase the licenses and have had them for some time so it's not like anyone can get them to relinquished it just like that. Plus they make lots of money off those games annually so they don't have any real impetus to improve the quality of them.
  10. Yeah, it'd be more stealth based in certain scenarios like when you're trying to gather info so Bond would use some sort of tech and he'd have gadgets that can duplicate passes and stuff like that. But then you'd probably have things like car chases which would be very action-oriented.
  11. I'd want this to be a success but because Konami is the one developing it, I'm keeping my expectations pretty low and I know I'm still going to be disappointed afterwards. Now if it were someone like Kojima or Capcom...I'd be through the moon about this as the Silent Hill series is something I grew up playing as well.
  12. The only thing saving them is that they have the odd banger like RDR2 and they've hardly supported the game since release. Ubisoft and EA (I'm just temporarily leaving out Activision because they've been bought out by Microsoft so we need to see what they doing going forward) are the only companies I think are possibly worse than Take Two. You're right - sorry about that. We've seen plenty of consoles fail since the 90's - in no way shape or form is the PS5 a failure. It's more overpriced and I totally agree but a failure doesn't sell that many consoles so much so that nearly 3 years later, some of us still can't get our hands on one.
  13. Nobody would buy it though...NFTs have been rightfully demonized by gamers so that'd probably not be the best medium to sell it.
  14. I can see them pricing it similarly but maybe a little bump in price here and there but I don't expect them to increase the price drastically in the second release. Further down the road, when the Steam Deck has become more mainstream, they'll do that.
  15. I was just about to say it this exact thing - they've had Splinter Cell in limbo for close to a decade if not more. I love Splinter Cell and remember playing a lot of it on the original Xbox but with Ubisoft's recent track record, It's going to flop big time.
  16. State of Decay 2 is a fun game to play with friends and acquiring bases and building them up is so much fun. I wonder how they plan to expand on that aspect of it?
  17. I also agree that Sony is very good at spotting talented companies but the modern Sony worries me with their stupid decisions. It's a brilliant move to acquire FromSoftware games but what happens when they don't produce a hit, how will they be treated then. It has happened in the past but I can't really think of a situation where it stayed this way for long. Eventually, one party bought the other's share and I can see Sony doing that down the road. In some sense, it is enjoyable to watch but what happens when only Sony and Microsoft own all the major studios? I'd prefer if some stayed independent to provide some competition.
  18. But most of us knew Facebook didn't come up with the idea in the first place - they were just trying to position themselves as such.
  19. You're not wrong - ever since the pandemic, I've notcied a lot of people seem to lack the basic social interaction skills and etiquette. I mean it was noticeable before but the Quarantine period has affected a great number of people's social skills.
