I’ve always been a fan of the handheld Pokémon games, especially the nostalgic feel of playing on my Game Boy or 3DS. The portability and classic style just hit differently compared to the console versions. But with newer releases on the Switch, the visuals and mechanics have evolved. So, do you still prefer the simplicity and nostalgia of handheld Pokémon games, or do you find the console versions more engaging?

I’ve been getting into homebrewing on different Nintendo consoles and was wondering what’s your favorite system to mod and why? Whether it's for custom firmware, running emulators, or accessing hidden features, I’d love to hear about your experiences. What made the process fun or easy for you, and what are some cool things you’ve been able to do with it? I did my 3DS recently and honestly, I'm wondering why I didn't think of this sooner.

What are your feelings about NFTs and gaming?
killamch89 replied to StaceyPowers's topic in Gaming Forum
The worst comment there and I had to respond the other day was them criticizing Starfield as a buggy mess. Yes, Starfield has its flaws but it's a workable game that is released and is stable and you can mod it at the very least. As a matter of fact, I'd go as far as to say Starfield has done what most of Star Citizen "set out to do" (They are never going to do most of what they promised). I lost brain cells in that subreddit. -
How Do You Feel About PlayStation’s Investment in SSD Tech?
killamch89 posted a topic in Playstation
PlayStation has put a lot of focus on SSD technology, especially with the PS5's custom SSD, which has dramatically reduced load times and enabled new gameplay possibilities. Do you think this was a smart move that sets them apart from the competition, or would you have preferred they invested more heavily in other areas like graphics or VR? How do you feel about the impact this tech has had so far? -
With so many amazing games in their catalog, what genre do you think PlayStation should double down on going forward? Should they invest more in RPGs, platformers, multiplayer-focused games, or something entirely new? What’s missing from their current lineup that you’d love to see them focus on?

The PSP brought console-quality gaming to a portable device, offering games like God of War and Final Fantasy on the go. It also introduced features like media playback, online connectivity, and stunning graphics for its time. Do you think the PSP played a key role in making mobile gaming more mainstream, or were other devices like the Nintendo DS or early smartphones more influential?

Do you think it’s doing enough to support indie developers? Have you discovered any hidden gems through it? Or do you feel like it’s more of a marketing push than a meaningful effort?

What are your feelings about NFTs and gaming?
killamch89 replied to StaceyPowers's topic in Gaming Forum
I've always hated NFTs - always! It's like my hatred for Star Citizen. I mean, have you been on the subreddit and see how some of their players delude themselves? NFTs have always felt like a scam and is a scam and will always be a scam. -
Games you were briefly obsessed with, and then bored by?
killamch89 replied to StaceyPowers's topic in Gaming Forum
This is a good shout. I was one of the early adopters and I grew bored of it after a year of constantly playing it and haven't touched it since. -
What’s the Key to a Successful Online Multiplayer Game?
killamch89 replied to killamch89's topic in Gaming Forum
To be fair, Sony and Nintendo are just as guilty of this with Nintendo Switch Online and PlayStation Plus respectively. I mean, they are trying. It's just that there's cheating software always coming out that's more advanced than their anti-cheat software so game developers are always one step behind. -
What’s Your Favorite Retro Video Game Console?
killamch89 replied to killamch89's topic in Gaming Forum
Personally, mine would probably be the PS1 just for what it did to gaming at the time. It brought about so many legendary franchises such as Resident Evil, Metal Gear, Silent Hill and Crash Bandicoot. -
Exactly. I'm not sure why you'd hang it under.

What’s the longest amount of time you’ve been awake?
killamch89 replied to Heatman's topic in General Chat
After my 40+ hours awake, I think I slept for like 20 hours the day after. I'd rather not want to do that ever again. -
Would You Prefer Working Abroad or Studying Abroad for a Year?
killamch89 replied to killamch89's topic in General Chat
More or less what I said. You'll have a little capital working abroad so you could put aside some and indulge in exploration of said country. -
What's the big thing you're currently saving up for?

I'm glad I got my car with full cash when I bought it because car loans are such a pain! -
The only mishap I ever suffered on a motorcycle is getting hit off one and I'd have suffered more serious injuries if I didn't have good enough reflexes. I was lucky to only suffer a sprained knee.

We have something like that in our country but the practicality of it in ours isn't there so you either are good enough at hand-to-hand combat to restrain someone or you might have to go the vigilante justice route. Law enforcement is pretty useless where I'm from.

From what I've read, it takes up a bit of time and the ingredients have to proportioned correctly or else the bread won't form properly. I bake things like cakes for myself and other stuff but bread is one I haven't tried before. I mean, I've made banana bread before but that's more of a pudding than actual bread.

What is the largest unexpected bill you ever received?
killamch89 replied to Heatman's topic in General Chat
Wow, that sounds incredibly stressful. I can’t imagine getting hit with such a huge bill all at once. Did the company offer any assistance, like a repayment plan? It seems like their mistake put you in a tough spot. -
Personally, I’ve also handled a snake before when I was in Cambodia, and it was less intimidating than I thought. Their scales are smoother than I expected, and they usually stay calm if you’re gentle and also stay calm.

Same here. I keep my coins in it and go cash it all once the bag is full.
