2020 was an underrated year for action games imo
killamch89 replied to NightmareFarm's topic in Gaming Forum
I did play quite a lot of MK 11 back in 2020 as DMC 5 and Doom Eternal. -
The Tetris one I knew about because it was in the news back then. Albeit, didn't get as much media attention given that gaming wasn't that popular back then. I also didn't know about the NES Satellite. Nintendo has created some of the most unique system that were way ahead of their time.

To be honest, I didn't even know this existed. I used to have the Sega Saturn and Genesis and if I had known this was a thing, I'd have asked my parents to rent me some games.
-
I did and although I don't remember the ending off the top of my head, but driving through Chicago was a blast!

Fight Night is one of my favorite sports games of all time and my favorite boxing game of all time. However, I'd much rather they not make another one because EA would ruin it and give us a mediocre experience.

It brings out a bit of nostalgia in me in terms of the old school Doom gameplay style and music. The graphics look really good but the game just seems to be pretty mediocre outside of that.

Based on the research I did, while it does seem like a decent game, I'm just not interested. The gameplay is somewhat unique in that you transform back and forth between ghost and human in combat but it just seems lackluster otherwise.

Rebel Transmute - New Metroidvania that looks heavily inspired by Metroid
killamch89 replied to Kane99's topic in Video Games
This game reminds me so much of Metroid fusion for the GBA. Honestly, it doesn't even have anything unique about it. It just looks like a huge Metroid ripoff. At least take Palworld's route and change up some things including the gameplay. -
Hard to say, we haven't seen enough gameplay. It's not that unique of a concept either and we don't know how a game will be received. If it has minimal bugs, the story is incredibly interesting and the gameplay is good, I don't see why it won't do well.

Outcast: A New Beginning - Coming March 15th, 2024
killamch89 replied to Kane99's topic in Video Games
Funny enough, I used to play the original Outcast on PC in the early 2000s and it was quite an underrated game in my opinion. Had some very unique systems that were way ahead of its time. I'd look forward to this one. -
Project Hornet - Upcoming PvE co-op shooter with some Spooky vibes
killamch89 replied to Kane99's topic in Video Games
It looks like a pretty interesting concept. Of course, we have to see actual gameplay first and personally, I don't even think it was that scary at all. I knew that when he saw the clock that he'd be ambushed from behind by whatever killed the rest of the soldiers. -
To be honest, I didn't even remember about it because MK1 and Street Fighter 6 were out at the time and I was playing the hell out of both games.
-
Years ago, I'd have had no problem with the idea but nowadays, most game studios tend to mess up remasters/remakes with Capcom being one of the few exceptions. You only need to look at the GTA trilogy that was released recently to see my point.

Animals overall I meant. Whether in captivity or wild.

Was playing some Palworld with my friends today. It's slightly addictive. I can't lie.

For anyone out of the loop, Isekai is a genre of anime where a character dies and is reincarnated into another world with new powers and abilities and basically become incredibly powerful. Some series do it really well like Overlord and Eminence In Shadow. It's just that the market is flooded with a lot of them and it annoys me because most of them are subpar in every manner. What do you think about Isekais?

Jujutsu Kaisen is an awesome series. Yeah, it won't even top the big 3 but the action, story and characters all make it a very interesting series.

Honestly, I haven't checked it out and didn't even know a new exorcist came out or maybe I did hear about it and just didn't care. I totally agree - they keep releasing sequels of old series because a lot of the more modern movie series are absolute garbage with unoriginal plots and horrible acting.

Movie Theater Snacks: Popcorn and...which candy?

That's what I've resorted to in recent years. Nobody's paying those prices for candy. -
