Surprising/indirect ways games called you out?
killamch89 replied to StaceyPowers's topic in Gaming Forum
That's hilarious and kind of brilliant! I love when games subtly call out player behavior like that. It makes you more aware of how much the game is watching you just as much as you're watching it. I had a similar moment in Red Dead Redemption 2 where I accidentally shot someone I was trying to help, and the game just wouldn't let me live it down. -

The fact that half of the Zenin Clan's cursed tools are stored inside this curse makes it a win for Geto.

Was enjoying some Palworld earlier. It's been a few weeks since I last played it.

Wow, Castaway looks like a lot of fun! I'm loving the pixel art combined with the retro vibes.

I’ve always been fascinated by classic cars and wondered which one you’d choose if you could own any. Would you go for a sleek 1960s Ferrari, a timeless 1957 Chevy Bel Air, or maybe a rugged 1970s Land Rover? Share your dream classic car and why it’s at the top of your list.

I've heard the saying "school days are the best days of your life" quite often. Some people look back on their school years with nostalgia, while others can't wait to leave those days behind. Do you think this saying holds any truth? Were your school days the highlight of your life, or do you feel like your best days came afterward?

We all have that one drawer filled with random items we don't know what to do with. What's in your "junk" drawer? Share the most unusual or unexpected items you’ve found stashed away. For example, mine has old batteries, an array of gadget parts, a few spare keys, and a bunch of mismatched screws.

I want to know who everyone's favorite author is and why. Whether it's someone you grew up reading or an author you've recently discovered, I'd love to hear what makes them stand out to you.

Has anyone here held onto old tech that’s now considered obsolete? Whether it's an old gaming console, a vintage phone, or even something more obscure like a PDA or an early MP3 player, I’d love to hear your reasons for keeping it. Do you keep it for nostalgia, or does it still have a practical use in your life?

What’s a Technological Advancement You Hope Never Comes to Gaming?
killamch89 replied to killamch89's topic in Gaming Forum
Agreed. Ai-generated content as of this moment makes games feel so generic. Most of the content produced by it is just a ripoff of existing content and most of the time, it's very obvious. -
Agreed. Community events have definitely added a new layer to my gaming experience. They offer a sense of belonging and help build stronger connections with both the game and other players. Online tournaments, in particular, have made the gaming community feel more global and inclusive, which has been fascinating to witness.

How Did You Discover Your Favorite Gaming Genre?
killamch89 replied to killamch89's topic in Gaming Forum
It was more of a gradual process for me. I started with action games but slowly gravitated towards more story-driven experiences. Over time, I realized that RPGs were what I enjoyed the most, especially those with deep narratives and character development. -
What’s a Must-Play Game You’d Recommend to Anyone?
killamch89 replied to killamch89's topic in Gaming Forum
Absolutely, Ocarina of Time set a new standard for action-adventure games. The way it seamlessly blended exploration, puzzles, and combat was revolutionary. -
What are your pet peeves about buying from physical video game stores?
killamch89 replied to Kane99's topic in Gaming Forum
Facts. A disorganized store is a huge turn-off for me as well. It gets even more frustrating when the staff don't know where to locate the games either. -
What linear games would make terrible open worlds?
killamch89 replied to StaceyPowers's topic in Gaming Forum
I agree with you, especially when it comes to Portal. The tight, puzzle-focused gameplay relies on a controlled environment. Expanding that to an open world will dilute its core experience. -
How important is tactical control to you in combat?
killamch89 replied to StaceyPowers's topic in Gaming Forum
I completely agree. Tactical control really can make or break the experience. Do you think larger party sizes tend to dilute that control, or can they enhance it when done right? -
Do you feel removed from the action when playing in third person?
killamch89 replied to StaceyPowers's topic in Gaming Forum
It depends on some other factors as well. Little things like the screen slightly shaking or blurring when taking an action does tend to make third-person action more immersive.
