What do you prefer a computer or a mobile phone?
killamch89 replied to Matan_z's topic in Technology & Gadgets
Apple and Android tried to push this crap for years but as powerful as smartphones are, they just can't replace computers for now or in the near future. -
High On Life - Seriously, this game is the most hilarious thing I've played in years.

What game would you like to see in VR that isn't?
killamch89 replied to Shortie's topic in Virtual Reality
Mortal Kombat lol - no seriously - I just wonder what the Fatalities would look like in first person. Or even better, if you were the one who lost and experiencing a fatality. -
I wouldn't say it's a gimmick but VR is still going through a transitional phase of sorts to take it from an afterthought to something that can become a more integral way of interacting with virtual worlds.
-
Honestly, that looks like a lot of fun - killing targets in first person is a lot more immersive.

Welp, Meta is ending support for the original Quest VR headset
killamch89 replied to Kane99's topic in Virtual Reality
Typical Meta - they purposely do this so people are forced to buy the more modern versions. I wouldn't buy one of these as I have to log in with a Facebook Account. -
I didn't even know you could play this over VR. This would probably be entertaining...
-
Not really and that's because of how much time and effort it'd take to make and maintain it. Plus your hard work can be ripped off by copycat games and Google wouldn't care less.
-
I have played it a couple of times but the experience does feel quite lackluster on mobile devices. I have a very powerful flagship and my phone would occasionally lag during certain games.
-
Nope - I don't even fancy mobile gaming all that much. Outside of a few games, the rest are just endless money pits which will leave you in debt if you're not careful.

What are your thoughts on ads on mobile games? Are they too much?
killamch89 replied to Shortie's topic in Mobile
As @Kane99 said, I understand the nature of some free mobile games implementing ads but on a whole, most of them go way overboard with it. -
Do you feel mobile gaming will get better over time?
killamch89 replied to Shortie's topic in Mobile
Fantastic point and I totally agree with you - until mobile games stop being a money pit and demanding you spend more money to enjoy the game and put more effort into making games with fantastic quality, we won't see anything changes. -
I've also sold some and gave away some to friends since they also give me keys they get in bundles at times. What marketplace do you use? I used to use G2A years ago but they're a bunch of scumbags so I've moved away from them.

Just for the enthusiast in me, I'd probably get an I9. I'd like to see for myself how far I'd be able to push it and a high-end GPU in very demanding games.
-
Definitely Horizontal - that way I can't tip it over and accidentally damage it. I've never really fancied have them stand vertically for this very reason.

Have the money and constant access to high speed internet. -
Which version of the Playstation do you have? The original or PS4/PS5?

Sonic co-creator Yuji Naka arrested for possible Insider Trading
killamch89 replied to Kane99's topic in Gaming News
He should've known better as he'll be locked away for a good amount of time as it's a serious crime in Japan. Correct me if I'm wrong, but the length of time he could face is minimum 5 years. -
Key talent behind Forza franchise leave to start their own AAA studio
killamch89 replied to Kane99's topic in Gaming News
You do have a point about the world challenging system - I haven't played the 4th installment or any earlier versions in ages so I probably should take your advice and revisit them. -
Microsoft has 10 year commitment to bring COD to Nintendo consoles
killamch89 replied to Kane99's topic in Gaming News
Remember that Nintendo always tries to have this "family-friendly" image so a COD-inspired game isn't something they'd consider. Remember how long it took to get certain M-rated games on the Nintendo Switch. -
Nah - the whole game was an embarrassment long before it even launched. I remembered we were discussing this game and most of us said it'd flop. However, it's even done way worse than any of thought and with all the scandals from leaking ip addresses to numerous other issues, it should've been decommissioned long ago.

I've had a lot of these but I think one of the main ones was when I was sick with an unknown disease about 10 years ago and nearly died, it made me far more resilient.
-
Nope - I like to take my time and explore games to truly savor the experience. Can you really enjoy just skipping a huge chunk of the content just to finish a game?
