Which Gaming Companies Are Doing the Most for the Community?
killamch89 replied to killamch89's topic in Gaming Forum
Riot Games is a good shout. Another one is Digital Extremes, the creators of Warframe. They've been doing some great things for the community. They've raised millions for charity, including mental health initiatives, and they actively engage with their player base to create a positive and inclusive gaming environment. -
Excellent story-driven games that go overlooked?

Have you tried Disco Elysium? It's a narrative-heavy RPG where your choices genuinely shape the story. It’s critically acclaimed but still flies under the radar for many gamers. -
What are some of your unpopular takes about video games?

I believe that not every game needs a multiplayer mode. Some games are better off as single-player experiences, but developers often feel pressured to include online components that end up detracting from the overall quality. -
The Ornstein and Smough fight from Dark Souls still haunts me to this day. The sheer difficulty, the intense atmosphere, and the feeling of relief after finally defeating them are unforgettable. That was the moment I realized I had a love-hate relationship with the game.

For me, The Last of Us and God of War are at the top of the list. The storytelling in The Last of Us is unparalleled, and God of War just nails the combat mechanics and epic scale. Both games offer intense action sequences that kept me hooked from start to finish.

I totally get why you love Horizon Zero Dawn. The combat in Devil May Cry 5 gives me a similar rush. Pulling off crazy combos with style, switching weapons mid-fight, and watching everything unfold. It makes you feel like a total badass.

Super Meat Boy is one I distinctly remember. The precision and timing required in some of those levels made me question my life choices. I remember spending hours just trying to beat a single level, only to get stuck on the next one.

Was running some Need For Speed Unbound and enjoying the new update which featured the police chases from Most Wanted.
-
Yep. This is one of the games I've been looking forward to playing. I'm currently enjoying Black Myth Wukong and I hope this game also delivers.

The idea of being stranded on an island and dealing with threats sounds intense! It’s a shame that it's not available on Meta Quest yet. You might want to keep an eye on the developer's updates. They often announce new platform releases as they get closer.

Compound - Randomized rogue-lite shooter for PS VR2
killamch89 replied to Kane99's topic in Virtual Reality
The fast-paced action is really what makes the game stand out. The retro graphics definitely add a nostalgic charm that appeals to a lot of players. It’s great to see the community so engaged and excited about it. -
Absolutely, the nostalgia factor is strong with Arcade Paradise VR! It’s amazing how they've managed to capture the essence of classic arcades in a modern format.
-
Multilingual support sounds intriguing. How well does the game handle different languages in terms of voice acting and text? Are there any new languages added in this update?

Are you going to buy PS VR 2 for PC when the PC adapter releases?
killamch89 replied to Kane99's topic in Virtual Reality
Nope. It's way too expensive for what it offers. The Oculus and others have far cheaper offerings. -
I'm curious about the songwriting experiences of this community. Have you ever written a song? Whether it's a personal project or something you’ve done professionally, I’d love to hear about your process. Do you start with lyrics, melody, or a specific instrument? What tools or methods help you get inspired? Feel free to share tips, challenges, or even snippets of your work.

We all have that one song that hits us right in the feels every time we hear it. Whether it’s the lyrics, the melody, or the memories it brings back, it never fails to bring tears to your eyes. What’s the song that gets you every time, and why?

I'm curious to know which artist or band you've seen live the most times. What keeps you coming back to their shows? Do you have any memorable experiences from their concerts?
