People are still using ARMA 3 to fake war footage
killamch89 replied to Kane99's topic in Gaming News
With the kinds of people I see on social media, I'm not surprised they fell for this. I mean, they'll follow some of the dumbest challenges on the internet such as the crate challenge so they'll believe anything. -
Not if Konami's the one making it - have you seen Metal Gear Survive? To be fair, most of us still don't understand the story or the game universe. Why do they need to strap babies in sacks to themselves? Maybe the movie can give us more clarity but as I said in a previous reply, I'd be far more interested in a Metal Gear movie.

Not surprised really - If I remember correctly, weren't they accused of something like this a few years back? And the predatory practice of gaming companies targeting kids has been a thing in the industry over the last decade.

How quickly do you forget (some) video game content?
killamch89 replied to StaceyPowers's topic in Gaming Forum
Same - if it's a game I didn't particularly fancy or take a liking to when I was playing it, it usually takes me a while to remember how the game works. -
Which game release was the biggest letdown?
killamch89 replied to aerodynamik's topic in Gaming Forum
Same - I was so hyped for Cyberpunk 2077 and it totally flopped. It's a good thing I didn't pre-order it - I was so hyped for it due to CDPR's prior track record but what we got was crap ton of bugs and glitches that two and a half years to even iron out. And then you had the hacking incidents as well... -
Nah - I'd much rather die when my time comes. There's no way I'm agreeing to that - yes, I may claim you'll "live forever" but in reality, there are certain things that cannot be uploaded no matter how much technology advances and that's the emotions of a person and how they'll react to a situation.

What games do you play at Christmas with family or on your own?
killamch89 replied to Shortie's topic in Gaming Forum
With family, it's usually something like Mario Party, Mario Go-kart, Smash Bros, Need For Speed, Gran Turismo or Fifa (hate this game in recent years but it's what we grew up playing). -
What has been the worst in game purchase you made?
killamch89 replied to Shortie's topic in Gaming Forum
Star Wars Battlefront 2 2017 - I pre-ordered it too and the game was such a mess. It's what made me stop pre-ordering game permanently - the game at launch was repetitive, buggy and there were lots of microtransactions in-game as well and it cost $60 too... -
Do you change your button mapping to suit your gameplay
killamch89 replied to Shortie's topic in Gaming Forum
The only game I remember changing the button mapping for was Rocket League and that's because the default button layout was difficult to use for me. -
What are the most guilt-inducing moments in games?
killamch89 replied to StaceyPowers's topic in Gaming Forum
Especially the scene where the burnt corpse of a mother holding her child was horrifying to say the least. I may have my savage tendencies but I'm not that crazy. -
I don't really hate any systems at all - I love games on every system. That said, I'd love a few of the PlayStation Exclusives on PC like God Of War Ragnarok and Spiderman with Myles Morales.

I used to have lots of Metal Gear action figures with Solid Snake, Liquid Snake as well as Gray Fox otherwise called "the Cyborg Ninja". I also had a couple posters of Sniperwolf from Metal Gear Solid as well as Solid Snake and Gray Fox.
-
GTA Online usually has one and when I used to play Fortnite, they had one as well. The GTA Online ones in previous years had wicked bonuses for cash and experience.
-
I used to play on the Perfect World private servers after the official game went down years ago. The server is still up but it's been a while since I've logged in.
-
I remember going to Japan and seeing them playing it in the arcades. They were way better dancers than I was.

Do you remember Tennis Ace on the Sega Master System?
killamch89 replied to Shortie's topic in Gaming Forum
That'd be out before I was even born - the first Sega device I owned was a Genesis. -
True - did you hear about the drama with Bayareabuggs and Polecat. To be fair, most of the DOJ community seemed to not like Polecat at all.
-
I've seen a few home-made ones on YouTube but not many I know of officially made by the companies. I've seen a Nintendo 64 portable designed many years ago on YouTube - I don't remember the channel or if it's still active.

What was the last purchase you made in a game?
killamch89 replied to Shortie's topic in Gaming Forum
That must've been way back in the late 2000's/early 2010's in some MMO - I really don't remember to be honest... -
Same - Also, the fact that a lot of them do plastic surgery just lessens the appeal for me.

Do you judge a person you first meet right away or do you give it time?
killamch89 replied to DC's topic in General Chat
I wouldn't say judgements but I do make a few notes about how they act among other things and then after subsequent interactions, I draw conclusion. -
It was extra long too - it's almost like she wanted me to hang myself with it...

Does the Internet need controls or censorship?
killamch89 replied to Nebulous's topic in General Chat
I'm not sure - I've been seen all kinds of crazy stuff happening in the US like a kid identifying as a cat and her parents pressured the school to put in a litterbox so most of these things aren't that surprising to me. I mean, you can be sued for ridiculous reasons and may very well lose. -
Hmmm...I'd say an HTC phone I had back in the early days of Android. It was laggy, the UI was a mess and overall was an absolute crapfest of a phone. It's no wonder they stopped selling phones.

Maybe she doesn't have the console anymore and getting her hands on a working one without getting scammed/ripped off is a challenge within itself. I mean have you seen the prices for older consoles on Ebay? A good deal of them cost more than a PS5. That being said, it's still possible with enough persistence but she can also install an emulator on her PC or tablet if that doesn't work out.
