Simplest Answer - Konami happened. The same thing can be said about Contra - both iconic series in the 80's and 90's, Konami has been too busy building gambling machines for casinos to make great games anymore. That's the reason I keep saying that they should sell the IP to the Devil May Cry team at Capcom because they'd give us a great game for sure. Konami has a whole treasure trove of great IPs that are going to waste such as: Castlevania, Metal Gear, Silent Hill, Contra and more that I can't quite remember.

Wow - to be honest I'm a terrible sleeper as well and that's due to growing up in a violent community. If so much as a pin drops near me I instantly wake up. If my dogs are barking outside for more than a couple of minutes and they're barking intensely, I get up and go check my wireless CCTV system and then peek through the window just for confirmation.

Build proper shelters for homeless people and animals, get them some proper healthcare and education/skill training so that they wouldn't be on the sidewalks constantly suffering. All Flat Earthers would be executed on sight and I'd have a signs up around the town that said "Flat Earthers are an invasive species, shoot on sight if there's evidence that you've encountered one.
