Honestly, I have the Samsung Health App on both my phone and smartwatch but I never use it. I just don't need all that information...

If you could provide us with a budget, I'm sure we can provide you with some recommendations. The brand is a factor but for cheaper models, it tends to not matter as much. My earlier recommendations were for Gaming Laptops/High-End Laptops that were in $1000+ category.

The caveats of modern tech - they're multifunctional and at times, overtly complicated though surprisingly I seemingly have adjusted pretty well to modern tech.

Does anyone still read the newspaper?
killamch89 replied to melanie_marie27's topic in Technology & Gadgets
Occasionally, yes - the digital version that is. I haven't bought a physical newspaper in at least two years. -
Personally, I don't mind upgrading but the driver support for essential software I use needs to be there first.

What do you prefer a computer or a mobile phone?
killamch89 replied to Matan_z's topic in Technology & Gadgets
For all the improvements in smartphones over the past decade, they are still nowhere near performing at the levels of even a Chromebook so there's no way a smartphone could overtake a PC in terms of usefulness for me. -
How long do SD Cards last? Can I re-use older ones?
killamch89 replied to Gonassis's topic in Technology & Gadgets
Even though they may be technically compatible, the read and write speeds may vary depending on the SD card manufacturer. Sandisk and Samsung SD cards tend to be very quick and reliable. You probably should look into a 512 GB micro SD card for something like a Steam Deck but make sure you buy it from a reputable source and not off Ebay or Amazon because there's lots of counterfeit products on those sites nowadays. -
Does anybody save their old iPhone (s) ?
killamch89 replied to melanie_marie27's topic in Technology & Gadgets
Most of the Apple Products I've owned over the years have all been sold but the difference is mine were still in good working condition. Sometimes, the timing may be right to change devices and I just took those opportunities. That being said, I haven't owned an Iphone since the Iphone X which my brother gave me and I sold it after two years. -
My smartphone would be first, my gaming laptop would be second and Ipad would be third although my Switch could overtake it very soon.

If I'm not mistaken, it's supposed to be expanded lore of the universe and not just a video game adaptation. I also agree that the trailer looks absolutely amazing.

Did you buy it or was it the reviews that you saw?

Netflix should really start to release bigger/triple A games
killamch89 replied to Kane99's topic in Video Games
Now that makes me less optimistic...He worked for EA and he helped with live service games? I guess we should lower our expectations. -
GoldenEye 007 is finally coming to Xbox and Nintendo Switch
killamch89 replied to Kane99's topic in Video Games
The Xbox version will only have the single-player campaign which makes no sense because most people enjoyed the split-screen multiplayer aspect of the game. I think they should've added that to both versions. -
I'm not sure to be honest - we'll see what the reviews say when it's released. Outside of AOE, Command & Conquer, Starcraft and a few others, RTS games don't really appeal much to me so it could turn out to be another boring one.

Virtual worlds as safe/therapeutic spaces
killamch89 replied to StaceyPowers's topic in Gaming Forum
Gaming does tend to help you take your mind off reality - even for a temporary moment. That being said, just don't expect Meta's virtual worlds to be safe spaces. Don't know what I'm talking about? Check this out: -
I'm not sure - if there was some way to get my games and consoles/PC to the afterlife, I'd probably take them all lol.
-
I'd have to mostly agree with you on that - the pandemic caused many of us a lot of stress but gaming played a major part in keeping me relaxed throughout it all.

Silent protagonists that seemed like distinctive characters?
killamch89 replied to StaceyPowers's topic in Gaming Forum
Another moment is when he just woke up in-game and he bound to some sort of demon sarcophagus with some zombie-like demons were surrounding him and he broke free of his chains and mercilessly slaughtered them all. -
Is there any such thing as "overhyped" or "overrated" video games?
killamch89 replied to Clasher's topic in Gaming Forum
Honestly, I definitely have to agree with you - even since 2k Games got WWE license from THQ, the series has gone steadily downhill in terms of quality and entertainment. The worst part about it is, some of the bugs that were present in previous releases as far back as 5 years ago, are still not fixed which is ridiculous considering what the game costs. -
What are your favourite gaming memories from the past?
killamch89 replied to Kane99's topic in Gaming Forum
One that stuck with was when I used to be a tank in Eden Eternal and we came up on a dungeon that was slightly higher than our level but me and some members of my guild went for it anyways and we got wiped out like 3 times. The fourth time around, for some reason, all the dps got wiped out and it was only me and the healer against the major boss and the three mini bosses all by ourselves and we took out two of the mini bosses but the healer was too close to me and one of the boss' AOE attacks killed her. My mates were saying quit but I said nope we are getting this win today and what happened next was nothing short of a miracle, I pulled some of the greatest kiting and avoidance measures that was known to tanking and I took out the other mini boss and the Boss with only 3 hp left. Needless to say, one of my guildmates who was actually recording it put up the fight in the guild recruitment video. Various people paid me to be their tank in dungeons. -
Game plots with bad stories but great climaxes?
killamch89 replied to NightmareFarm's topic in Gaming Forum
It was a really mediocre game in terms of the story - I also didn't like the changes they made to some of the Guardians like Bahamut has always been a dragon and in this game, they turned him into some kinda dragon swordsman. Why?! -
What game broke you of completing all side quests?
killamch89 replied to harleyqbx's topic in Gaming Forum
Honestly, I'd say Skyrim is one and that's because these sidequests are granted in one part of the game and then you end in the Soul Cairn or on Solstheim and then have to journey all the way back... Like what the hell?! -
Black Ops online on the Xbox 360 - The good ol' days and I mean just about every and anything was said but nobody took it seriously unlike now, everyone is such a snowflake. You can't even call somebody a wimp without being accused of bullying. I got temporarily banned from Fortnite for calling my teammate a wimp which he was because instead of helping us, he kept barricading himself behind dozens of walls.

gaming and our connection with others
killamch89 replied to runswithspatulas's topic in Gaming Forum
I've come to learn that it's apart of the experience - some of the people I game with currently are people who I met from other MMOs over a decade ago and have maintained those friendships and there are some that I just stopped talking to once I left the game.
