Sports Legends That Ended Up Leaving Your Team/City
killamch89 replied to Dead2009's topic in Sports
I didn't mind him leaving Barca even though it was weird because I understood the financial ramnifications but joining PSG is what really annoyed me. PSG will not win the UCL even if they're the only ones in it and they're in a league that has no real competition and that's why they win it every season. -
Who will be your next favorite player when your current retires?
killamch89 replied to Justin11's topic in Sports
If I remember correctly, KDB had a knock or some kind of injury so he was forced to take him off so you can excuse that. The part I never got was putting on Fernandinho whose legs are gone against a very pacy Real Madrid attack. -
My list is as follows: EPL La Liga Bundesliga Serie A Ligue 1

The transfer news has been slow lately outside of Chelsea continuously embarassing themselves in the transfer market by going after players who have no interest in playing for them and trying to hijack every deal with no success.
-
Most of the newer ones are pretty stupid like slapfighting championship and X-arm Championship which are entertaining to watch but are so unoriginal/dangerous in the long term.
-
As an update, he and Jorge Mendes (his agent) and Alex Ferguson have are all at Man United this morning to have some talks about this. Jorge Mendes and Ronaldo are still pushing for a transfer and the latest team mentioned is Atletico Madrid which their fans don't want him either so let's see how this goes.

That being said, unless it's PSG or Newcastle, I doubt we'll see another transfer like that for the next 10 years because that's the transfer budget of most top clubs like Man City, Liverpool, Arsenal, Man United etc and not even Man United is that stupid to spend so much on a player...you know what, let me not vouch for those lot because they've done some pretty stupid ones like 80m for Harry Maguire.

Cast your vote, which nation will lift world cup 2022 in Qatar?
killamch89 replied to Justin11's topic in Sports
I was more referring to the South American region where you only have 4 teams you can consider a huge enough threat to take on France, Germany, Portugal and Belgium along with the other European Juggernauts. Then again, there could be some surprises on the cards. Difficult to say, it depends on which group they are in. Senegal are an amazing team with players like Sadio Mane, Mendy and Koulibaly but if they end up in a group with teams like say a France and Brazil or something like that, I think they'll struggle. -
It's going to be strange seeing the World Cup in November - I'm used to celebrating in the summer heat but this year, I'll have to tucked away in a blanket lol. On another note, I want to see an El Classico in the the UCL - It's been so many years since it's happened. The El Classico the other day was entertaining and that was just a preseason game.

I love Liverpool but Darwin Nunez just seems a bit too raw compared to the others here. I mean, he and Luiz Diaz are around the same age and yet Diaz is levels above him in terms of technical ability, decision making among other things. The thing that has me puzzled, there's a guy called Emmanuel Dennis that plays for Watford that reminds me so much of Sadio Mane and has similar traits to him in terms of technical ability, pace, trickery, movement on and off the ball and decision making and he'd only set Liverpool back 25m. Why didn't they go for him instead? Darwin has excellent traits in terms of his physicality, aerial duel prowess and he does have a bit of the striker's instinct but his rawness makes him not a player at Liverpool's level currently.

That Mo Salah one is a travesty if I'm being honest especially the year Liverpool won the Champions League in 2019 and then the Premier League in 2020. Didier Drogba and Yaya Toure are considered world-class players but not in the caliber of Messi, Ronaldo, Lewandoski, Luis Suarez or even Kevin De Bruyne. Remember that there are different tiers of World Class Players.

Will Neymar Jr ever lay his hands on the balloon d'or trophy anytime soon?

I found this article on Goal for you. It seems a bunch of selected Journalist do it. -
Here's my list of things that I can't stop laughing about this window: Chelsea being hijacked by Barcelona twice and made to look like total amateurs in the transfer market (totally enjoying this) Barcelona using Man United to get Frenkie De Jong to take a pay cut (Barcelona again, playing 5D Chess with Amateurs) Ajax using Arsenal's name to get Man United to pay 60m for a 5 ft 9 CB from the Dutch League (Man United always overpay for players) Chelsea trying to hijack deals and getting rejected at every turn (also enjoying this) Barcelona turning the head of Azpi and Alonso at Chelsea unsettling their dressing room (Barcelona out here doing God's work) What are the scenarios that have really made you crack up this transfer window?
-
Chelsea has been abysmal both on and off the pitch during preseason - trying to hijack at least 12 deals and has been rejected by every player and agent - the list is as follows: Richarlison, Jesus, Mukiele, Lewandoski etc. ( I could go on but it's quite exhaustive) All the while having several deals hijacked which include the following: Raphinha, Jules Kounde, De Ligt To top it all off, their preseason performances have been abysmal including the absolute mauling they got from Arsenal and mind you, Arsenal have played more games in less days and were subjected to the same grueling temperatures as Chelsea were but they were far fitter, sharper and were playing some extremely good football. Add to the fact that a good portion of their players are deadwood that are on extreme salaries that they can't seem to get rid of and those who want to leave. Their manager Thomas Tuchel also looks pretty frustrated at this point and seems to be having a go at his players. In your opinion, do you think Chelsea fans should fear for the worst going into the new season?
-
So are you more like an energetic one who's all over the pitch or are you a more traditional DM who sits in front of the defence?

Instant Noodles -> it's many variants and flavours
killamch89 replied to Yaramaki's topic in General Chat
I love the cup ramen noodles and my favorite flavor is the roast chicken one although I do like almost every flavor. -
I also liked this because I despise PSG as well. Just to see them fall apart again in the finals made me day.

Brazil? - yes, Argentina? - not so much. The reason I say it is that most times, the Argentinian players always let down Messi. Di Maria, Higuain and so many other talented players have all underperformed when it mattered and Messi cannot always bail them out as he's lost a good deal bit of his pace and stamina. I know that they won Copa America last year but realistically, only Brazil, Argentina and maybe Uruguay and Colombia are what could be considered top teams. The rest are trash - let's be honest. -
But you called me a sexist the other day just because I found women's football boring when I never said anything about any other women's sport so that makes you also a liar. Don't throw stones in a glass house.
-
You seem to be the one with problems mate and all I said women's football is boring to me because the women aren't aggressive enough and that's my opinion. In the 70's and 80's, recreational drugs were used during sexual encounters in US culture and it was a very common practice back then because even my mother told me about it because she used to live in the US in the 70's. Furthermore, when you heard the testimonies of the 3 women in question, their stories kept changing but they prosecuted him anyways without following due diligence. You've never heard me defend R. Kelly, Harvey Weinstein and Epstein even once because they're sexual predators and they deserved what they got. Next, you'll sit here and say Amber Heard is innocent and Johnny Depp deserves what he got. I might like a TV personality for their performances but I don't worship stars like you people do. Next thing you'll also say is Michael Jackson is guilty of molesting those kids when there has never been any evidence of this. I don't have a problem with women - I just hate that the ones that'll wilfully lie on men because of their own personal agenda and then get away scotch free without any charges whatsoever.
